Force Fields 2: Magic and tech
In my campaign, a character has a Vallax force field generator, and a Battle Fury blade. If the character is in combat and has the Vallax Force field up, could he still get the benefit from the Magical Forcefield as well? I won't allow 2 naruni, vallax, or other tech fields up, but I would personally say that the field from the battle fury blade would encompass the user on a closer level then the vallax field, therefore allowing it to offer its protection as well. Thoughts.

Only one force field at a time.
When one goes out he can put up the other one but two at the same time would not work.
sorry, that's not indicated anywhere.
they stack. all bonuses stack unless said otherwise.

What do bonuses have to do with force fields?

figure of speech
any numerical increases stack unless said otherwise.
you can have 2 force feilds up at once and it works.

A force field isn't a number.

Exceptions: If they're made, designed or modified to coexist, you can have more than one of each... for example, painstakingly calibrating 2 forcefields (though I'd have them be reduced in strength or duration to compensate), or wearing GB pilot armor inside a GB.
makes sense

By my definition...
AOI, Armor Bizarre, Necro Armor, Coral Armor, Invincible Armor, etc.
These make a skin-tight (or clothing-tight) magic armor field. They stack over physical armors (but not other magic ones). They would all compete for the same space over a person, having the same basic magical nature to their construction.
MDC auras from Invulnerability, Sorcorous Fury etc.
These do not stack. Once again they compete for space, since they're all PPE-based energy and exist on that "frequency". Use only the strongest aura.
MDC aura from TK-force field, Burster aura, etc.
These exist anc compete on the psionic "frequency" and do not stack. Use the strongest aura.
Technological force fields
They interfere with each other and cause disruptive effects. Putting 2 personal force field generators on one person is likely to damage the generators, and provide unreliable protection... they cut out, some holes appear, etc. However, they can be calibrated to coexist, if both lose some strength and use up more power.
Techno vs. Psionic vs. Magic
The psionic, technological and magic protections do not "see" each other, as they are on different "wavelengths". They can coexist and overlap.
This makes very good sense. I personally don't like to see players attempt to stack any type of forcefield with another, even of a differant type. IE a Naruni forcefield with armor of ithan. I think it's a bit much and very munchi. But that's just me.

Sort of...
If you're talking about something like a "skinfield" (where the field uses the body as a conductor) effect, then no, you couldn't stack them.
However, if you had a "radiated" field (where it is projected around the body) and a "skinfield," yes...you could have two.
Please note, when dealing with things such as this, read the details in the item or spell descriptions. After all, a mage can have Invulnerability and Armour of Ithan up.
Also, if I remember the items correctly, you can have a Naruni field and an O/P field up simultaneously (though why would you want to? ).
