Creatures of magic are long-lived life forms that have human-like intelligence, personalities, and foibles, but to whom magic is an innate, sometimes insitinctual ability. Such as dragons, Faeries, the sphinx, the unicorn, and others.
Supernatural Beings are typically immortals spawned in some alien dimension. They have very little in common with humans or any mortal creature, and defy normal biology and laws of physics. They all possess some range of "supernatural powers" which typically include supernatural strength and endurance, the ability to fly (without wings), turn invisable at will, teleport, etc. Such supernatural beings include Demons, Deevils, sub-demons, vampires and the undead, demigods, godlings, Gods, spirits, angels, Elementals, and Alien Intelligences.

See pages 10 and 13 of the GMG for even more details.

2)Also: What is classified as an entity? I have a shifter in the game I am running and I need to know what he can summon without allowing him to much power. :o

An entity is a supernatural energy being that is invisible to the human eye. There are 5 types of entitys. They are the Poltergeist, the Syphon or Trapping Entity, Haunting Entity, Tectonic Entity, and Possessing Entity.
Get the Original Conversion Book, or Dark Conversions for the info on Entitys.

quick rule of thumb:

if it breeds and has babies naturally, it's a Creature of magic.

if it's nigh immortal and dosn't have any real means of reproduction, regardless of apparent gender, and reproduce though unknown means, (like demons) it's Supernatural.

How about we get a list of the things a Shifter can summon with the spell Summon Lesser Being, The ones he can bond with using that Greater Familiar spell, and last but not least Summon Entities. . .

Summon Lesser Beings: any supernatural creature below the status of God or supernatural intelligance. But beware of summoning somthing that the mage can not control. The books mention in several places of mages that perish at the hands of creatures they summoned and couldn't control

Greater Familiar: Pretty much the same as summoning a lessor being. A demon familier could be as powerfull as a Balrog, or a wimpy as a Lasse.

Summon Entities: There are 5 types of entitys. They are the Poltergeist, the Syphon or Trapping Entity, Haunting Entity, Tectonic Entity, and Possessing Entity.
