chiang-ku-temporal wizards

Unread post by Sir Logan69 »

i am having a problem with this...i created a chiang-ku dragon temporal wizard...now i believe that even though it states in the stats that he only gets the magic abilitys of the temporal wizard...he would advance per level as a temporal wizard.....but using the dragon rcc experience table....i know it says in the stats that he only recieves magic and reading skills of the temporal wizard....but here is the other problem the cost of servitude
is 6 years to know temporal wizardry...first 5 years as a servant ..only in the last year he is taught temporal magic...our gm states that he only stayed with the raider of one year....which would make the pc only 1 year old.....i don't believe this is correct...i think
that the pc would have to be with the raider for the full 6 years..and in turn would know all temporal wizard abilitys dealing with the aspects of temporal magic i would greatly
appreciate any help you experienced gamers and gm's could give me on this matter
thank you...for all your help

use the Dragon XP tables (usually use the one that "costs more") for any RCC/OCC combo.

yup, 6 years total, the last year as actually practicing magic -- that's strictly by the book.

age depends on what you go by. In the Rifts RPG pg98 those hatchlings will be from a few hours to days in age. Obviously if during this time they chip in with a Temporal Raider, then they're 6 years+ in age. That's assuming a CK hatchling is like the others.

your CK hatch could've wandered around for a few years using just natural powers and psionics before throwing in with a TR, but he'd still be at least 6 years old by the time they're a 1st level Temporal Wizard.

You get all of the Temporal Wizard stuff like you served under him for 6 years. Like syphonning ppe from others and getting the extra ppe at level up.

If he only stayed one year he would know no magic at all.
