What ranks would you expect a squad of FQ Glitter Boys to hold. I'm talking about sort of a special forces unit. Guys that are turned out with a reload crew to check known magical hot-spots. They are expected to be in the field for a month maybe with little support from home. They've also got special training, one is a medic, one's an EOD guy, one is a scout, etc... Whaddaya think? I'm thinking they'd all be officers of Capt, rank and below. I know there's some military guys out there that can help me. THanks,

A squad? Corporal through Staff Sergeant. If a Platoon, Corporal through Lieutenant {to exclude 1st Sergeant or Sergeant major, of course...}. Special Forces get promoted to Corporal usually during or after Spec Ops training... of course, some people get in trouble and lose a rank, but usually in Special Forces you're looking at Corporals and above {Specialists in modern military lol, but I think they did away with that silly rank in Rifts... you get laterally promoted from Specialist to Corporal after PLDC or Special Forces training... it's the same pay-grade}.

Since they are all Glitterboys, and the entire culture of Free Quebec has become based on the ledgeds of the original GBs...I'd say that a Glitterboy pilot is outside the normal military ranks.

A Descended Glitterboy, one who's machine and ancestry stretch back to the Original 188 (or however many there were) would be like a nobleman, or Knight of the Realm. A good ranking title would be ancien commandant de bord...ancient command pilot. For short, they would probably just be addressed as "Ancien", or "commandant".

Sidekick pilots, like squires, would be subordinates to the Glitterboy pilots. Gardien (guardian) might be good for them, but I like soutenant (defender) much better.
