Teleportation of Dragon Hatchlings

Unread post by chaserone »

An interesting question popped up in a game of mine. When hatchling dragons teleport, do all of thier belongings that they are carrying go with them or just the dragon and nothing he or she carries?

I would assume that they would get to carry all of thier belongings with but we have heard alot of the players state... no they cant and that it only says the dragons themselves.

If you ask me, the players saying no are simply trying to lawyer the dragons ability to having even more limits.

I ask this to see everyone else's opinion.

Yes they take everything.
The same restrictions apply as with the Teleport: Superior spell.

The dragon only has to worry about his belongings when he shape shifts. Especially the Chang-Ku when he turns to mist form.

Actually...

The dragon Hatchling looses everything they are carrying when they teleport.

This is black letter in both RIFTS and Palladium Fantasy (D&G)

The hatchling can only teleport him/herself. Once (s)he grows-up (according to D&G) (s)he can teleport considerably more, including up to two others plus 1000lbs - might be a variable in there too... :D

Not quite correct. Belongings yes, other people no. See Dragons and Gods.

I know that they cannot teleport people. The rifts main book states that they only teleport themselves. Was just asking about the belongings. What page of dragons and gods is that stated about the belongings part? Cant find it.

Bad Shaka :thwak: :thwak: :thwak: :thwak: :thwak:

Anyway, even if you allow that, it still depends on familiarity with the vehicle and the dragon being in such a shape as can actually get there (darn few bots equipped with dragon sized passenger seats)

It's at the front of the book where they start discussing all the dragon's powers, under "Teleportation," if you can believe their temerity... ;)

It's in the bottom third of the paragraph. Just look for the figure "1000"

:ok:

You talking about the RMB? I sure don't see it either. Looks to me like they can teleport their belongings unless it says otherwise.

Athos...no, I'm talking about Dragons and Gods, but even in the main book it says the hatchling can only teleport itself.
