House Tanaka, City of Cenosha, located underwater in a small bay surrounding the former city of Bankok (I'm using earth as the Splicers setting). Built in a large pre-war geodesic dome, constructed using modified rules from the Rifts Adventure Guide for City Creation. Small population of 900, Military encampment. A fun place to launch raids against the machine. :D

Hmm.... lots of folks going for the coastal/aquatic theme. Well, here's my take on it. There's not much detail since I just started working on it today.

The House of the Scarlet Caverns
This Great House resides in an underground cave network with access both to land and the ocean. Currently, a band of Technojackers is their largest non-Machine threat. It is suspected that a nearby rival House is supplying and supporting them, but this can not be proven.

On the main front, the thing that has their caught attention are reports of conflicts between different groups of robots and drones in the area. Is this this the action of Technojackers? Is there a conflict between the different personas of the Machine? Or is it something else?

whats the order from "Grunts" to Best "Elites" type ??

earlier i was thinking about making a place near/under a swamp near the coast...Part of the swamp actually boils for an unknown reason.
The Swamp is dismel indeed.

Once the book arives, i work this out more though.

Q&A
Is there a MAP in the book for quick referance or what ?

If not i just may have to barrow the Map from....PBFantasy
With alittle alteration it would work great.

No map, and per the backstory it wouldn't do you a lot of good, as The Machine frequently reshapes the planet's surface. That does however provide the GM with leeway to use maps from any conceivable source.
There you go man, keep as cool as you can.
Face piles of trials with smiles. It riles
them to believe that you perceive the web they weave
and keep on thinking free.

i saw someone mention that the humans are turned into mdc beings somehow ?
Is it a side-effect of the bio-weapons stuff or something ??

Which of the OCCs are the most "borg" like ??
cause i have this one player who loves "cyborg-ish" characters...

a couple more days and i will have the book :D :D

Skinjobs and scarecrows also become MDC creatures as well though. Granted it's some butt UGLY MDC creatures but that's half the fun of Splicers.

Biotics undergo a M.D.C. transformation that might be equated to the Juicer and Crazy processes in Rifts. They might be considered the most like a cyborg as well, given that Splicer weapons and other features are directly attached to their bodies.

House Arcadia

House Arcadia is a house on the brink
a long time ago house Arcadia was ruled
by lord Akbar. He was a lendendary leader
who made House Arcadia a ledendary house.
They were one of the houses who were instrumental
in creating new splicing tecnology. In fact it is said
that the gore hounds were created by house Arcadia.
It was a economic and industrial powerhouse that at
one time housed 250,000 people.

But times change, House Arcadia had always been
a place that had strong religous faith, and this faith
always seemed to help house Arcadia become stronger.
The priests of House Arcadia were transformed into
liberians so that they could better protect their flock.
As the liberians slowly went mad House Arcadia became
more and more intolerant of others.

They became ubsessed with spiritual cleanliness and the
dirtyest thing one could touch was metal. The tecno jackers
who lived at house arcadia found their lives more and more
restricted. Then on the night of long knives all the houses
tecno jackers were killed in a act of ethnic cleansing.
This act killed all of house Arcadias trade.
Life became more and more oppressive and the liberians
became ever more oppressive, people left in droves.
Now the house is slowly choking to death on its own intolerance.

Population 20,000

non combat personal- 75%

Roughneck- 15%

Pack masters-5%

Scarecrows-3%

dread guard-1%

Other OCCs-1%

their are no tecno jackers in house arcadia
Svartalf- if Cherico were a character created in a point game system, he'd have all his scores in geeky skills and his youtube and weird net stuff schticks all paid through a a Terminal Bad Luck (with more nasty GM intervention) disadvantage, and probably an Uncouth (can not have social skills) disad as well...
In an RPG with deadly situations that character would have had to be replaced a dozen times over[

House Shadowen

House shadoween is one of the richest
and most influential houses on the planet.
House Shadowen is strange for one its
composed intirely of tecno jackers, and
second the house is located in the largest
goast town on the planet.

House shadoween was formed when the
resistance started to banish and rivial tecno
jackers when the houses created bio tecnology.
One group of tecno jackers decided to live under
cover to find out more about the machine. They moved
to the largest goast town. Once their they started to sell
goods found only in gost towns. This made house shadowen
cash rich. House shadowen decided to use their new found
wealth to create a banking system. Today house shadoweens
trading and banking out posts can be found in nearly any
resistance house.

This doesn't mean that house shadowen has been resting
on it larials. House Shadoween has been studying the machine
and how it works. They have rediscovered the ancient art
of computer hacking and tactical repair. They have also been
studying the weak points in various machine desines. The greatest
efforts of house shadowen has been the study of the black coins.
House shadowen has 3 intact black coins. They have been trying
for decades to couch information from them, and it looks like their
finally starting to succeed! House shadowen has discovered how
the machine communicates with its minions. The scientists in house
shadowen belive that in a few more decades they can figure out
how to build devices that will jam the machines comunitcations
abilitys. House shadoween has also a way to make ordinary people
into tecno jackers. Unfortantly it only works on children younger than
seven years old, its also a painful proccess that takes two months.
It has a 60% success rate the other 40% end up dieing. For this reason house shadowen only uses the process on their own children.

However things are not rosy several other houses are knee deep in
debt to house shadowen and several of these houses are talking about
launching a attack on house shadowen and killing all of its members.

House shadoween
30,000 people
100% tecno jackers.

just a rough idea...

HOUSE ARKHAM

This house start out taking in rejects from other houses. The criminals and insane. Before they became a "House" they stole another houses' insane Librarians after it reproduced...The house they stole it from was glade the old one was gone due to it's insanity. Only a few of its scarecrows saught out their old master.

Now this house is all Biotics...The librarian turned the entire population in Biotics as an experiment of madness. Noone in the House cares about this fact for some reason. But having over 25,000+ Biotics has survered them well in fact. Only childred under the age of 16 are not enhanced. AQll surver in the Fightinh Forces when called for. Those that are not Active Duty see their Biotic enhancements as a boon to their work. Stronger Fast and tougher than any normal human. They dont have the need for special tools or the like. They use their Bodies.

The House is Ruled by a Powerful Biotic named : Mr.J .....
He has a Council of *Rogues* he uses to Help him rule the House.
Each of them is the Head of a huge Ganglike network of other Biotics of course.
The Librarian and his 2 dozen Scarecrows, which the Scarecrows server on the council also, but only One at a time attends the meetings.

This House is Very erratic in behavior, and enjoy raiding other Houses to loot from and steal their prisoners and insane to boost their own numbers.

About 75% of the Population is on Active Duty at any given time.
They rotate shifts throughout the year as to which 25% is off duty.

-------------

What do you think ??

GMmulder wrote:sorry guys, i have been away from the message boards for such a long time. I come back and see a lot of good ideas and some bad ones. :D What I am trying to do is to get this post going again. Lets create a planet of Houses so that we can all interact. Get those minds a workin and ideas down.

Well I have a New HOUSE.

House Black Pear.
This is an Ocean / island group terroritory House. Kinda like the Caribean Sea.
They have a Huge, i say Huge seedling at the bottom around 2,900 Straight Down in fact. Picture the SW-Gundun City or the Abyss's Alien City underwater. Lots of light, Force Fields to keep out water. Thermo-vents. When i say Huge, i mean huge. Several Miles wide at least, and it goes deep into the group from their.
They make use of Huge War Mounts which act as vessels. I might use the slappy created Kraken War Mount. One i created myself i based on the Blue Whale, mixed with bio-ship-ness. End result is kinda like Moya from farscape but more animal like. Anyways, they use these big Bio-ships when near the surface and to transport troops fast. Several smaller Ocean War Mounts i thought up too, but i just may use Slappy's also.

Anyways...They have been known to raid the surface Houses from time to time. They operate a Nuetral Marketplace on an island where rivial houses can Trade bio-tech and buy extra supplies. Several houses even started to their own sub-markets on the island. The culture differance is very noticeable, and everyone likes it this way. You know which house your trading with buy the sub-market. Black Pear though keep a % of all good sold/traded.

House York in NY. With near perfect upkeep in the largest city. With over hundred thousands of androids threw out the city keeping the big apple alive. House York rules the sewers like in Beauty & the beast. York is pretty selfish house with little contact with other houses. With a unit of over 120 Technojackers who can take over a few blocks when need for a few hours at a time. Still dangerous but life is better there than most places.

Don't forget that this probably isn't the Earth we know and love. Even if it was, the Machine has reorganized the geography into a form we likely wouldn't recognize.

Till a source book comes out saying what the cities are like this will do.

THese houses seem pretty good.
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."
