Sourcebook Ideas?

Unread post by Mike Taylor »

We've already gone over the city book idea in another thread, so I was wondering what other sourcebooks you'd like to see for BTS. Maybe a book focusing entirely on one kind of supernatural being, such as a "Lazlo Agency Field Guide To Ghosts" or maybe a sourcebook devoted to various agencies combatting and investigating the supernatural around the world. What do you want to see? (Aside from the first three planned books actually getting published, of course.)

You have already mentioned most of what I want to see. How about a series of books focusing on different eras opf the BOS world. An example is a Victorian era sourcebook. Maybe some BOS novels.

A book dedicated entirely to Psionics.
"We're trapped in the belly of this horrible machine And the machine is bleeding to death The sun has fallen down And the billboards are all leering And the flags are all dead at the top of their poles ...I open up my wallet And it's full of blood "~~Godspeed you black emperor.

I think info on Magic in BtS will be in BtS:Arcanum sourcebook.

BtS:Tome Grotesque will be on New Mosters.

I hope ther will be a Book on NPC,s and Organizations, it can show Npc,s for Lazlo Agency and bad guys.

they can have a New O.C.C,s call Enchanter ,one of ther Special abilities is they can permanently integrated a magic spells to items.

What do you think?

possibly. But I think it would be too "magical" for a game like BTS. I think one in palladium or rifts would work better.

You could probably do a battle between angels and demons and devils. Forfit the name of heaven and God and it could go.

I'm working on a quick little book (I figured I'd call it "Behold the Paranormal" for S&G) that will have stuff on cults, new places of power, mysteries, conspiracies, some alien MIB/X-Files type stuff and other bits and pieces I like to use in BTS games.

MEPH!

Wait, are you THE Mephisto, from the Chat's way back in '00?

and if so, do you remember a goofy fool named Perfect or Slight, or Halo, or Ethereal, or Echo Blue...or just alt?

and if so, hey man, long time no chat, that does sound like a cool idea...

I'm looking to get BTS 2e when it comes out, it's the only Palladium line besides Recon that I haven't looked into.

The Necromancer King wrote:I'm a bit strange, but I would love to see something of an In Nomine adaptation for BTS; angels, demons, the End of All Things; all taken from the point of view of your standard psychic investigator. This might be a touch to religious a book for Palladium though; they tend to shy away from anything that would horribly offend the Christian Right... Just an observation.

CJ Carella has done his own fine take on this with Armageddon, personally, I'd rather not see a repeat in the BtS line. Certainly, you could have these beings out there but I would forgo the "The End is Nigh" stuff because it has been done-- even "The End is Nigh, but Not Like the Scriptures Say".

Have the raptors from Jurassic Park all become possessed. Then it's a BtS game.
Maybe have a tectonic entity form from the rubble of bldgs that the tyrannosaurs wrecks.
How about some undead T-rex victims?

I think a book on 10 cities U.S that are the Most Haunted can wokr.

As long as it have New Orleans and Boston in it.

What Cities do you want it to be on?

Been there, done that...How better to distract the guards at a museum while stealing something(s)? Cast animate the dead on the dinos while invisable while your friends loot the rest of the place. It is so much fun to be GM.

what i would do is 2 Source books, and then focus on "region" books.

a creature book, with more entities, demons, ect.
and a "Society" book, with Agencies, secret societies, and cults that are nation wide.

the region books would focus on different area's and the unique stuff in them. for example a US pacific west book, a Deep south book, New England, ect.
