Okay, I always like watching spy-themed movies with lots of cool gadgets (now if I could just remember half of the non-Bond movies with cool gadgets). But how many movies out there really have cool gadgets? I mean, okay, there's I-Spy (the new one with Eddie Murphy and Owen Wilson, not all that great, but some of the gadgets were cool), Clockstopers (more of a kiddie movie, but with some intersting ideas), Desperado/From Dusk Til Dawn (Hey, the codpiece gun is hillarious, and the "guitar case full of guns"...not too mention the guitar guns (a rocket launcher?!?) are pretty intersting), and don't the Austin Powers movies have gadgets? (NO, put down the Mojo, it's not a gadget, it's a gimmick.) What other movies out there have really cool gadgets?

Does the ludicrous arsenal from Sho Kosugis' Revenge of The Ninja count?
Double Team, with Rodman and Van Damme?
The even-worse film (this movie is Plan Nine From Outer Space bad) Simon Sez (Dennis Rodman, again) has some fairly neat gadgets.
The very awful TC-2000 (Billy Blanks, Bolo Yeung) has some cool gadgets.
How about the assualt robot in Code Of Silence (Chuck Norris), which is actually a decent film, as Chuck Norris movies go ?

All four Batman movies had some very neat stuff.

There were five Batman movies. Don't forget the cheesy one from back in the day.

Why must you say things I can never un-remember?

I had nearly put that out of my mind: having sat through it with my young son, I figured my debt to society was paid.

Gee, why not bring up the serials from the '40s too, while you're at it?

The Incredibles had some interesting gadgets. Even for a superhero flick.

Which reminds me, I should find where I buried my superhero vehicle construction notes...

Okay, got another one to add to the list, Spy Hard. *Shudder*

Is it just me or do the otherwise lame movies have the best gadgets?

Speaking of which, I almost forgot Max Knight: Ultra Spy.

So I don't forget (and to add anything I've missed so far from my crappy memory) I've decided to make a recap list.

Austin Powers movies have gadgets? (NO, put down the Mojo, it's not a gadget, it's a gimmick.)

Batman movies had some very neat stuff.

Blade (more or less)

Clockstopers (more of a kiddie movie, but with some intersting ideas)

Code Of Silence (Chuck Norris), which is actually a decent film, as Chuck Norris movies go ?

Condorman (I'm still trying to figure out if this one was a comic movie, a superhero movie, a spy movie, a spoof movie, or a touchy feely Disney action movie, but it had gadgets)

Desperado/From Dusk Til Dawn (Hey, the codpiece gun is hillarious, and the "guitar case full of guns"...not too mention the guitar guns (a rocket launcher?!?) are pretty interesting)

Double Team, with Rodman and Van Damme?
Simon Sez (Dennis Rodman, again) has some fairly neat gadgets.

Get Smart (shoe phones...yeah...I like the Cone of Silence)

Hudson Hawk

I-Spy (the new one with Eddie Murphy and Owen Wilson, not all that great, but some of the gadgets were cool)

Inspector Gadget ( :thwak: )

James Bond movies (obviously)

Leonard. Part. Six.

MacGuyver (yes, another TV series, but it deserves mention, whereas the A-Team probably doesn't)

Max Knight: Ultra Spy.

Mission Impossible

Runaway (old movie with Tom Selleck as the good guy and Gene Simmons as the bad guy)

Sho Kosugis' Revenge of The Ninja count?

Spy Hard.

Spy Kids (never seen 'em, but they probably have gadgets)

TC-2000 (Billy Blanks, Bolo Yeung) has some cool gadgets.

The Abyss (the fluid breathing system rocked)

The Incredibles had some interesting gadgets. Even for a superhero flick.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (okay, it was a TV series, but what the hey)

The Saint

Total Recall (maybe, that might be a big to futuristic for N&S)

True Lies.

Well, there's also Eraser, Real Genius, Wild, Wild West, Congo, The Tuxedo, Operation Condor, Double Team, Simon Sez, and Black Eagle.

And yes, I know that some of these crappy pieces of crap are among the worst films ever made.

So what is it with the lamest movies having the most gadgets (with the debatable exception of the various James Bond movies)?

The answer to your question is likely on top of a mountain in Tibet somewhere.

Weren't there some in the Flint series of films also?

Let me add the following: TC 2000, Pray for Death, Super Mario Brothers, Running Man, Judge Dredd, Timecop, Message From Space, Battle Beyond The Stars, and the second Godzilla series (1985-1999). Obviously some of these are not N&SS genre, but the gadgets could be useful.

I'd almost forgotten that they did a live action version of Crying Freeman. I hope it was better than the live action Fist of the North Star.

Could any movie be worse than the live action Fist of the North Star?

Sadly, yes. There's a movie called Dead Weekend with Stephen Baldwin that's got to be the worst thing I've ever seen, not only can I not recomend watching it, I have to warn people NOT to watch it.
