I think that would be the basic method, yeah. Or, alternately, just roll him up using the normal BIO-E method, and play him to the RIFTS world. He would be considered a "d-bee" automatically, and would still have all the normal stats of a mutant duck. Whether you choose to give him an O.C.C. from there, or an occupation from his previous dimension, is entirely up to you and your GM.

Use the standard mutant animal rules from HUII, TMNT, After the Bomb, Mutants in Orbit (for the Rifts setting), etc.

Or make a HUII style alien that just happens to look like a duck.

If I remember correctly did not Rifts Atlantis also have a duck like D-bee? I think they were called Hawk-duck or something like that. They were rules to use them as an rcc. Worth cjecking out if you can get your hands on the book. It kinds of resembles a cross between a d-bee and howard the duck.

Palladium can't be given a free pass for criticism because people have a lot of emotion invested in it.

Pathfinder is good. It is not the second coming of D&D.

Xan-00 wrote:An update to my duckman. After reading a post which had a link to a mad max site I have decided to make my duckman a road sentinel.

The background so far is that max(his name for now) comes from a race of duckpeople who accidentally ended up going through the asteroid field around rifts earth. They took to the escape pods from their ship and max's grandparents came from one such escape pod that crashed in australia.

So what you guys think?

What happened to everyone else? What kind of ship? How many escape pods? How did duck guy become a road sentinel and why?

Well I don't know the answer to those questions yet, but I was thinking that if I can find a ship in a book big enough (enough to house over 250 people) with a bunch of escape pods then maybe later on we might see what happened to the other ducks. But as far as why he became a road sentinel has to do with his familiarity with technology and lack of understanding of nature. Also he wasn't fortunate enough to land in perth or melbourne.

So basically your new character is "a scavenger.......living off the decay of the old world"?

Are not the Road Sentiels the ones who stop the scavengers and gangs?

Yup, the Road Sentiel is basically Mad max written up as an OCC.

They fight roadgangs and protect struggling communities in the outback, good guys with fast cars and guns. 8-)
