This is effectively related to Phase Word/Three Galaxies.

Previously, this has never been observed by astronmers.

You know I never realized that the multi sun effect on Tatooine was just the camera messing up. 31/2 day year, I'll have to use that one day in a game.

OMFG!!!

3-Day Years!!!

TODAY is Spring.

TOMORROW is Fall.

THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW is Winter.......!!

And on top of all that, it's quite possible that there is NEVER a Nighttime!!!!

I bet there is almost no night on the planet, like the planet in the movie Pitch Black. 3 suns after all.
Almost doesn't count; except in horseshoes, tiddly-winks, and hand grenades.

I don't know the calculations, but it's possible that if the binary pair is far enough away from the big star, their light might be different enough in strength for their to be, at least, a dim, dusk-like night even while they shine. If they're far enough away to not be full strength there, it would still leave a light/dark rotation, albeit a partial one.

Edit: Hmm, I don't know how far their gravity reaches, but if I understood the "truncation of the proto-planetary disk" part right, looks like the planet is actually pretty close (in astronomical terms) to all those stars... hmmm

a world with 3 day years would spin very fast and would be very volatile.
