Where did these come from?

Unread post by Pox »

I was putzing around the other day when I came upon the website Nighlock Enterprises and there were two vehicle designs that had some art that I had to scratch my head as to where they came from:

Which, to me, has some Zentraedi elements to it but the back reminds me of the Ghost for some reason

The other screams at me that it is the bastiche child of an ARMD and the Daedulus:

Has anybody seen these before and where can I find better picks (especially of the "NE-Mammoth")

that first one looks familiar...

The second one looks like "Tidal Wave" from Transformers...or a version ot the 11 transformibale Cannons in the Macross II RPG.

Thanks to Morgan's help with that site, I was able to find the first picture of the NE-Mammoth was inspired by "Jukon class (refit) (U-99)" from Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket.

The second one is from line art from the Japanise Macross Vidio game, its based on the line art for the ARM platforms for the movie, but I dont know if it was actualy used in the OAV, but in the game its a ram ship that basicaly does a Daedilus atack on Capital ships

Ehhh? :?: Maybe Tau, but it's lack of cathedral architechture, crenellations, battlements, gargoyles, stained glass, and more weapon ports then zits on a teen's face after "All You Can Eat Pizza Night" at Greasy Johns...it pretty much knocks it out of the running for an Imperial ship.

Honestly I would lean it more to semi-hard sci-fi instead of WH40K techno-goth. The surface features, notably the gun turrets, seem to be straight from Macross and I'd guess it's a kissing cousin to the ARMD platforms.

This is starting to bug me now in that I know I've seen this class before and even saw game stats for it, but for the life of me I can't find any other references to it.

It's driving me nuts! Thanks alot Pox! Curse you to Hell! :badbad:

SIGGED!

Danke, but I know that design is someone taking a MS Gundam Yukon-class sub of Jion's and making it into a starship.

I am looking at my hardcopies I printed of Macross designs from the web, but looks like I never saved the one for the ARMD-based assault ship. It is an interesting design though. Doubt I'd use it as a ram ship, but it does make for a fine space-going version of a Wasp- or San Antonio-class assault ship.
Ive got the raw data file, do you want me to send it?
