1 melee action I'd say.

I'd expect the plasma system would have an on/off switch myself.

the only thing that comes to mind are some Kittani Transformables in the back of Atlantis, but neither of those say.

I 'll have to see if NGR/Triax has any, with Transform times.

Theres a triax transformable sub/PA in Underseas, but it doesn't have a transform time listed.

yeah, you should be able to turn the plasma off completly if you wish to.
the plasma field should act as barrier to railgun rounds also, vaporizing them before they hit...no damage to half-damage at least.

And they travel throguh the field pretty darn fast.

I'd say the rail gun isn't affected.

Besides the plasma shroud on the Solar Combat Armour in SA2 doesnt' interfere with its railgun.

That thing is my favorite PA since Free Quebec's Violator Samas.

And the price can't be beat.
