My bet, Palladium editing at its finest. The original Regeneration was probably d6 and maybe d8 instead of the d4 Kevin published it at (based on the 2 upgrades it should be d6).

Yes, I think the Regeneration:basic should be 3d6 for main, 1d6 (maybe 2d4) elsewhere. Gorehounds would benefit in main body regen boost with the purchase though they already are as good if you just convert to d6.

just consider gorehounds to have "basic" regeneration for free.

Maybe Buying "Basic" regeneration stacks with the Gore Hounds though.

Gore Hound who bought "Basic" might get 3d4+2d6 MDC per HOUR.
You could break it down to 4d6 Per Hour or 6d4 Per hour if you want.

Me i'd go with the Stacking method. It makes since. Specially when you consider that Enhanced regeneration is per Minute, and Super is per Round.

I have always considered them to have basic to start, and go from there. I didn't even realize that they were the only war mount without the ability as listed.

Gorehounds are in the Splicers book.

Gorehounds aren't classified as War Mounts in the book RockJock, they're just used in combat by Packmasters.

Demos,

Sorry I had thought I remembered them being considered simple Warmounts.

So are horses and mega-horses, are you considering them war mounts too? Plus the very first line of the description states very clearly that "Gorehounds are not specifically designed to be War Mounts or combat vehicles" so design intent isn't clouded at all. As for being able to upgrade like a War Mount, so can Wing Packs and Living Armors so thats not a good qualifier either.

(silly question warning)

...so Packmasters are not neurally linked to the hounds? I kinda, foolishly, assumed they were, despite the lack of rules on ranges, no. of animals under control at any time etc..

If not, then in what way do you see gorehounds communicating reconaissamce, conveying sights/smells? Do you think they would just follow prior training - i.e. 'pointing' towards enemy units; circling a patch of ground growing to indicate landmines.

I feel this limits their usefulness and detracts from the Packmaster OCC somewhat, perhaps i'll work on my own rules here.

I'm yet to run a Splicers game so would be interested to here from any GMs on their rulings and how Packmasters contribute to the resistance.

Do you think the hounds communicate through words (Perhaps the bio-comm translates) or just through feelings and impulses?

good point. I know the physical senses are relayed (sight smell hearing, etc...)

I kind of had a similar problem deciding how the Falconers communicate with their War Hawks. After reading over the Packmaster, I figured that Bio-Comms basically work like telepathy and that Packmasters are specially trained on how to decipher the alien thoughts of their hounds into useful communication. I think Gorehounds respond to other Splicers just because of ingrained canine loyalty, but only Packmasters can really understand them.
