Is it just me, or is it less busy around here, posting-wise, than it used to be only a few months ago?

It does seem quieter around here lately.

Just myself, but I spend a lot of time lurking and only post once every two days, maybe that. Mostly, it's because I've just started to think 'If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.' That and I don't feel the need to spam threads with 'Agreed' as a full post... that kind of thing.

Plus, college workload is hitting me like a ton of bricks...

Oh. Well, I returned to active posting in right about the beginning of summer, and now that's gone.

I guess it should have been obvious, but I and all my gamer pals are way past school, so it didn't come up as an explanation right away.

I have found that traffic in ALL the forums is down.

For two days, I ruled Dimension Books...'cause I was the only one there!

these boards have been slow for quite a while.
disenchantment is a good reason?

you need interesting debates/ideas, which have been missing.

there is a lack of new ideas. most of the topics have been discussed over and over again. nothing new can be said for them.

IMO. the new books ( after CWC) just lack something. there appears to be little to no storylines in there.

maybe RUE will revitalise things

there are also a few more boards. which spread the messages out.

many people only browse a few of them. which also limits responses

but IMO it is just the lack of interesting storylines or even new ideas in the newer books.

maybe after 15 years there is very little we think of new or something that actually surprises us. makes us sit up and take notice and rush to spread the news of this new finding in one of the books.

I propose two new skills.

1) Beaticus Upon Deadus Horsus. Base Skill: 50%+5%/lvl.

2) Railing Against Beaticus Upon Deadus Horsus. Base Skill: 75%+5%/lvl.

This way, we can all desecrate dead horses and complain about it at the same time. Won't it be just grand?

It's probably slower. I know I haven't been able to come around as often as I did just two weeks ago. But that's they way it goes.

Personally I just don't post much. I ATTEMPT to keep my posts as questions, CORRECT answers, or something reasonably intelligent. If more people did this, it would be alot slower but at the same time, a much better read and easier to find what your looking for (unless of course, you like reading all the fun fighting banter, which can be a good source of entertainment)

Surprisingly, I haven't had to bomb the boards with a ton of questions (I just started playing Rifts again after being gone for a few years, GMing for the first time, and all 5 of the players are new to Palladium games) but everyone seems to have grasped the game well, and I havent confused any of the players, so I guess things are going well heh.

I'm sure this big of a collection of gamers can always find something intelligent or interesting to talk about tho.
Doing things the right way, the Coalition Way, since 1998...
