If I was to run an online seminar in the chat rooms to help people in creating martial art styles, hand to hand combat skills, etc. for Palladium's games (HU, PF, Rifts, N&S, ATB, etc), would anyone be interested?

I suppose... I have a pretty good idea how to make Martial Arts but it might be nice to have a few stylized ones for Nightbane... Necromancer-fu, or something to replace martial arts for 'Bane. Something spectacular for the Guardians because the Lightbringer story says they used some kung-fu moves, but they only have HtH basic in character creation.

Would depend on time/day, but probably. I'm tired of seeing warrior monks, palladins, and a bunch of others using the same HtH, yet, trying to import any of the martial arts from other settings just does NOT seem to work. They are extremely powerful, compared to the other HtH's.

I'd love that. I'm not sure however if I would be able to be there. Would it be possible for someone to copy the whole session and put it up on here? Or send it to me? (That is if I am unable to attend)

I'd like to discuss it in the chat rooms, I have a few ideas myself and would like to see what you think. Depending on the time though I may not be able to, keep us updated.
The word "THAN" is important. Something is "better than" something else, not "better then", it's "rather than" not "rather then".

Tests show that it takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour and a half to create a style (depending on what you're doing, familiarity with the combat system, and how much experience you have with creating them). In a seminar setting, with multiple people pursuing different avenues, this will no doubt take longer, but it still shouldn't be more than a few hours for everyone to get their stuff done.

Yes I would that would be great would you also cover MA powers?
Yes, I can cover MAPs as well.
Could you take a transcript of your lesson and add it to the cutting room floor?
Well, probably not the Cutting Room Floor, but a transcript could be posted.

yes a hand to hand creation system would be too cool. that way i can make unique fighting systems for people from differant areas as well as for characters so they dont all have the same fighting styles.

If it's stupid and it works. It's not stupid

Palladium can't be given a free pass for criticism because people have a lot of emotion invested in it.

Speaking of the chat rooms. How do you get in them? I'm sorry I've never used them before. I get to the page with the rules and such, however I cannot find the way into the rooms. At the bottom of the page there is a Java applet that tries to open but I keep getting a red 'x' over it and nothing loads. I have Java installed.

I was referring to being able to get into the chatrooms so that I could get to the pit. So that I could attend the seminar. It wasn't totally random.

However I did find your random answer actually rather helpful.
