I like the sound of the setting you are conjuring up, I had no problem at all forming a picture in my head of your campaign.

I like the idea of the confetti/coins upon a monsters death, and the healing firefly too. As you said , cute fluffy fun. 8]

There is a thread over on the GM forum about introducing a young family member into gaming, you may get some ideas from there, though it was mainly abotu choosing what game/setting to use.

Where abouts in Oz are you?? I'm about an hours drive north of Sydney.

Love the setting you've come up with. Maybe Kev or Erick would come out with some similar fantasy setting for anthropomorphic adventures, but I suppose we can create them ourselves just as well.

If I come up with any youth-friendly adventure ideas, I'll post them here.

I love the shower-of-prizes death idea! It reminds me of the role-playing episode of Dexter's Lab, where the dragon turns out to be a piñata.

...Hmmm, there must be a way i can use this to get my wife to play an RPG...

The Redwall books, beginning with the original "Redwall", are writen by Brian Jacques.

Redwall is an epic tale that begins at Redwall Abbey where Matthias, a young male mouse, is preparing for a great feast. With the help of his friend, Brother Alf (his full name is Mordalfus), he catches a fully-grown grayling. The grayling is then prepared to be the main course of the feast, for many from far and wide, including the Churchmouse family, from Saint Ninians Church.


Unfortunately, evil is coming their way.....

"Cluny the Scourge" a giant rat, many times larger than any other, with only a left eye -- his right eye lost in a battle long past -- carries a pole topped with a ferret's skull, and uses his immense tail as a whip, with a poisoned barb fitted to its tip. This great warlord leads an army of four hundred rats, ferrets, weasels, and stoats, which is rapidly approaching Redwall Abbey un-noticed.

Although Microsoft commericalized this phrase way too much, it IS good to play together.

Microsoft? I thought it was the manufacturer of certain board games that coined the phrase.

thanks for posting your adventure ideas for your kids. I dont think enough has been said about the creative value and excitement that kids can have through these games. Plus, its great to have the whole family involved. keep posting.
