Both take place in the HU earth, though I recomend getting Century Station first since it's a great backdrop to use in your game, or to 'steal' from and put into your own world.

Yep, get Century Station first, then get Grammercy Island. Those are among the best products Palladium has put out EVAR!
Bill Coffin did and excellent job of walking the wire - the City is incredibly detailed, yet it doesn't stifle your own creativity. Samge goes for the Gramercy Island super-prison.

I have them both, and have gotten good material from both.
If I were doing it all over again, I think I might have gotten Gramercy Island first so I could have had my supervillain containment facility built before the players had complete their first characters.
It is reasonably easy to build a city, but there are more technical questions involved with a super-prison.
My one major complaint was that GI and CS both over-used Mega-Heroes.

I wouldn't say over-used - the ones that are presented are the "crem of the crop" of the city though. There are way more "normal" heroes and villians in CS/GI - they just aren't presented in the books.Sentinel wrote:

If you get them, just remember that not everyone likes them. But there are way to many Megas in them.
Considering how dangerous my group can be to 'normal' villians I thought the Megas they had were pretty nice.

Too many Megas enhances the perception that if they exist they will be over-used.

Not if the level works especially with the villians. And considering how 'creative' some of them get unless I limit them to the Stage Magician and the Detective it can and will still happen.

Hey, Kittenstomp can make a pretty mean Stage Magician.
Damn ICE/BCP/BorderPatrol! Damn everyone who won’t damn ICE/BCP/Border Patrol!! Damn everyone that won’t put lights in his windows and sit up all night damning CE/BCP/BorderPatrol!!!
If you support ICE/BCP/BorderPatrol at this point, you would have called the Gestapo on the people surreptitiously moving into your neighbor's attic and huffed that you were only following the law.
