Is is possible to use the Merc\adventurer OCC from RUE in Phase World? If so has anyone done this yet?

You mean the "modular" Mercenary in RUE?

Most certainly it can be used.

Just a side note: since in the Three Galaxies most people get
formal education (read: school), they probably get literacy
and basic math, even comp operation for "free", even if
their OCC does not offer these skills.

I guess it is the same for the NGR too. (And probably Japan,
but I am not familiar with that).

Do you simply just pick some space faring skills as usual?

Sure why not. No I haven't used one in that setting yet. All you have to do is allow them access to the space skills.

Kind of like Gadrin said it depends on what you're using them for. As ground pounders they're good as is. But for more space like jobs they'll need access to Zero-Gravity movement/combat, E.V.A., their bots or P.A. could be space oriented so they would need space nav and so on.

Easily adapted in my opinion.

On a realted note, after drafting several of them for the Palladium Open House in May, has anyone noticed that the soldiers fo the TGE are ridiculously limited in scope? They can't even take sniper... leading me to believe that the TGE has no special forces.

Just an observation.

If that doesn't prompt you to buy it, I don't know what else I can say.

If it is not a mistake/typo...

...it means that the TGE Legionairre is a somewhat "russian style"
infantry unit - always deployed in vast numbers, always in frontal
assault, etc.

While it conforms with the "alien stormtroopers" idea, which is
no doubt favoured by Palladium, I guess in a modern battlefield
this tactics (or lack of tactics) are sure way for heavy losses
(at best, sound defeat at worst).

So, insert specforces. Actually, Machine People and Shilouette RCCs
in themselves are good for specforces (picking the right skills).

Yeah.

the more you look at it, the TGE is VERY Soviet-era in its makeup...

So the EPR-8 must be the AK-47 of the Three Galaxies.

Actually, the NE-10 looks more like the symbol of Freedom and Determination... :-D

Which is ironic.
