The blond-haired one pulled on the sleeve of his flight suit and suddenly there was a fabric structure on the table top beside them, a set of colding chairs set in front of it, a small chemical stove in the middle. Another move and it was gone.

Miriya? Did they mean Miriya Parino? The contamination was more extent than he'd feared! HOw far had the Micronians managed to compromise his command?!

THEY did that?! THe Botaru Battalion commander's loss was a blow to Dolza's efforts. These vermin couldn't have been responsible for that!

Ever since they'd gotten those strange messages from the lost (and presumed dead) unit that Lisa headed, such as those strange dopplegangers who'd delivered a ton of information on the aliens, including strangely prophetic predictions and technological secrets that had given the UEDF the edge against the numerically superior Zentraedi, before the 'Vermillions' had eventually vanished in puffs of smoke, Vermillion had raised more questions than answers. Damn it, what as going on with Lisa and her men?! Maybe they'd FINALLY get some answers.

Lynn Kyle got awesome. Lynn Minmei grew a brain, got a gun, or went were. Old Man Hayes had him snuffed back on Earth. Lang twisted his head off. Vince Grant pushed him out an airlock. GLOVAL hired hitmen to take him out. Once Gloval persuaded KHYRON to do the deed. His own assassins turned on him. Somebody cloned the Hunters. The number of times secret Hunter love children, raised in secret, now grown to adulthood had come to claim revenge he'd lost count of.
Then there was just plain dumb luck; he'd tripped down the Grand Cannon, guard rails gave way, his plane fell apart in mid-flight, the Invid Brain ate his brain with pop tunes, his nuke went off early, some part of the Grand Cannon's systemry fried him with an apparently ransom electrical arc, the unbeatable martial arts style he learned eviscerated him at the wrong moment, or he contracted rare and fatal diseases that dropped him in twenty-four hours that he began to suspect something was up.
It was when METEORS began hitting him out of the blue, and once an EARTHQUAKE swallowed him up that he began to realize something.
The Time Loops weren't an opportunity for him to get things done RIGHT, they were out to GET HIM.
AS an all-too familiar ceiling swam into view, T.R. Edwards didn't even bother checking the calender, didn't bother going through any sort of jump-start routine that would get his latest formulated revenge plan rolling. The memory of the LAST outcome was still fresh in his mind, and he could still feel the ache of the Petite Cola machine crushing hm to death.
No, T.R. Edwards decided, I am NOT getting up and dealing with this $#!+ any more....I am staying in bed and if the universe wants me, it's going to have to come in after me...
He tried not to listen too closely to the noises outside his cabin. He'd rather not not know if it was the out of control cargo jet, Godzilla, or the land slide coming for hm this time...
