He implants a mystical device of sorts into the character. The device feeds off of his/her actions and sends them back out into the world around him. If he displays cruelty, those around him will begin to be cruel. Every action that he makes, will be reflected in everything. Even plants will wither in his anger, or blossom in his love.

Once the character discovers the lump in his butt (or other place) it's up to the player to find a way to get rid of it. It cannot be removed from the character's body. At least not by normal means.

The alien will gladly remove it... insert favorite plot twist here

I dunno... I just had a few minutes and I figured I'd try my hand at it.
