With all this awesomeness I'm surprised no one brought forth this challenge already:

Vampyroteuthis infernalis
The infamous 'Vampire Squid from Hell', among the oddest of our world's critters. :D

Here's a few handy links. A couple just for the extra pictures. :ok:

Hmmm...traits one would have to include: Inversion Defense(spiked/spined limb undersides), bioluminesence organs, and bioluminesence 'fog decoy' defense....

Looks like it could be a fun one....

I would like to see a write up of the Charcaradon Megalodon (SP?): The Infamous Prehistoric Mega Tooth Shark. Which was longer than a full size school bus! A Great White on Titan Jucier steroids. It fed on huge whales (like the Blue Whale) and died out probbably 2,000,000 to 1,000,000 years ago. :)

Done them, but haven't posted. Not sure if I want to use them as a Rifter submission. Still need to doublecheck them and decide if I'm done.

Several appeared in the Rifter 23, and most of the others have been covered on here. I did the Thylodon and mutant humans from the time travel adventures in the back of the book, and I think duck-foot has done Hyaenodon, Megatherion, and possibly something else (not sure without double-checking). I think there are only 3-4 left that haven't been done. The only one I can think of off the top of my head, though, is the Glyptodon, which is on my to-do-somewhat-soon list (maybe I'll bump it up and post it in the next couple days).

I recently received a reply from Kevin in regards to AtB material in the Rifter I wanted to share with you [duck-foot] and anyone else who's been working on AtB material:

Kevin Siembieda wrote:We are dying for AtB fan material as well as short fiction and sourcematerial for ALL our RPG lines.

I have been wondering if fans have forgotten that the main purpose of The Rifter® is to be a place where FANS can submit adventures, villains, monsters, short stories and source material, and see it (and their name) in print...

So please, please, please spread the word and let other fans know we them to submit their stories and sourcematerial for AtB...for consideration in The Rifter!

Seriously, we could use source material and short fiction for AtB...

Hmmm...Yeti Crabs?
Apparently several varieties of deep sea crustaceans sport long fur-like strands on their limbs...one theory is that these strands are used to cultivate mats of bacteria that could serve as food source for the animal...

Duckfoot, You are a one man (or duck) source book.

And You did Hyeanadon, my fave mutant from TransDTMNT.
And you did the cool marsupial saber-tooth, which was really good too.

But has anyone done a 'regular' smilodon fatalis, the 'saber-toothed cat'?
Looked around, didn't find (but that could be just bad search engine luck).

If it's been posted, I would appreciate a link. If it's been in a book (probably those out of print rifters!!), could you steer me in the right direction. And if it hasn't been done yet, then maybe, if you get some time.... :?

Well, here's some for you DuckFoot-Sama:
Archaeopteryx (a type of feathered Dinosaur).
Plesiosaur (an ocean-going prehistoric Reptile; both the Long-necked and short-necked species).
Ichthyosaur (another ocean-going prehistoric Reptile).
Faries (similar to the ones from the farie tales).
Butterflies & Caterpillars.
Moths.
Well, those are all the ones that I can think of for now. If you could try to do them (especially the 2 prehistoric Repitiles since no one that I know of did any of them) it would be much appreciated.

Velociraptors or deinonychus (sorry, I don't know any non-latin names for dinos)

Smilodons and their marsupial counter-parts

I'm sorry, Mephisto-Sama *bows with sweeping arm gestures*, but I just had to ask... and I figured that Duck Foot-Sama could do them up. If you want to take a crack at them in order to aleveate some of the stress upon Duck Foot-Sama, I'm pretty sure that he'd breath a big ol' sigh of relief. Although, now that I have had time to think of things, does anyone remember the Griffen that's posted on here?? Why is it that it didn't have anything written in the "Looks" section of the stats?

Well, that's my thoughts for now.

Ummm, *scratches head in confusion* this might sound like a stupid question and all but, for the Unicorn Stats that's on the board here. Wouldn't it have made more sense for the creature to have been a chimera between a Narwhale and a Horse instead of a Horse and Rhino??? Especially since the Narwhale has the spirel horn while the Rhino doesn't?

Also, what are the looks for the Penguins? None of the stat blocks say what they are.

Especially since the Narwhale has the spirel horn while the Rhino doesn't?

that was one of mine, i think. the "white horse with spiral horn" look is popular, but i was trying for a more "real" look for the animal. with the idea that the gene-engineers looked for the most obvious solution to making a unicorn. (remember, a narwal's "horn" is a tusk, a modified tooth. if one of those starts growing through the forehead of a horse, it usually would mean the horse dies of brain damage...)

the original unicorn description is of a singularly ugly beast, more rhino and bison like than horse.

Also, what are the looks for the Penguins? None of the stat blocks say what they are.

i think those were also mine, i just copied the entry from rifter 17(?), with modifications for size and stats. you should be able to do a google search for each of the penguin species and find pics of the unmutated looks. mutated looks would be in the same vein as other mutant birds.

Thanx for the mutant Butterfly/Moth Stats Duck-Foot-Sama *bows deeply*. Now I won't have to worry about my sister trying to kill me with her unusual collection (and interests) of everything Butterfly *shivers in dread*. Now, all that's needed to keep my sanity is the other stats. Although, if you don't mind me adding, wouldn't it have been a bit more easier to put a "Extra P.B." in there some place (due to the colorful wings and such)?? and maybe have it so that it could be chosen twice or more (maybe limited to 4 times)???

I have another question for you Duck-Foot-sama about the Bio-E (I'm not being picky or anything): Why did you write that 50 Bio-E has to be spent on Size Levels (especially since you combined the Fairie and Butterfly/Moth request into 1 thing)? I can understand the spending of MAYBE 20 Bio-E (since fairies are said to be small creatures about under a foot in height). But other than that and the previous point that I made, I don't really have any complaints. Also I'm glad (and I'm pretty sure that everyone agrees with this comment) that your doing this and creating the mutants.

Sounds like a fish with an improved Mind Trap. Make a wish and become trapped in a (no save?) Mind Trap where you live out your wish. That wouldn't be too hard to make. Or maybe the mind trap is an extended duration waking hallucination? Which ever, it sounds like an interesting idea for an adventure hook.

I came across this awsome picture of what I kind of picture a mutant Butterfly/Moth character would/should look like: http://neotokyo9.deviantart.com/art/Ant ... a-32546738 . All I can say is: WOW.
Here's two more:

Yeti and Sasquatch.
Well, lets see now, You could (technically) use the Beast Man Stats on Pg. 5 of this Forum, or the White Ape on Pg. 7, also on this forum. As to the Sasquatch, you could always use the Sasquatchi from Rifter #29.

I said that SASQUATCHI is in Rifter #29. You can use it as a alternate version(?) of the sasquatch of folk lore.

Sorry *uses a foam/squeeky mallet and hits himself 4 times* I meant this thread. And if I'm wrong, everyone gets to use my Squeeky/Foam mallet (1 person at a time of course).

No offense R.J., but that didn't make much sense me. Besides, I like to think that I go by a good philosophy (one of many): It takes a man to know that he's wrong and accept it, but it takes a REAL man to admit it to himself and to others.

You didn't put me off it. It's just that you weren't making much sense to me, is all. *Hands R.J. the squeeky, foam mallet* :D Here you go, my friend.

Who knows, maybe we can use it on Duck-Foot-Sama in order to get him to keep on going with his mutant creature stats... Which I hope (and I do mean HOPE) will work. Beside, you get to use the hammer, I'll use this *pulls out a large foam missile launcher*. It can fire my favorite type of weapon, which are squeeky foam missiles. *launches a foam missile at taalismn, which hits him and lets out an explosive squeek* Hehehe, I love this thing :D .
