No, he was fathered by the Holy Spirit through some process that still left Mary a Virgin. I'm not sure if THAT was a trick Zues had picked up though. :p

But,speaking as a christian, since both the HS and JC are also God he essentially gave birth to himself.
Becoming his own father and son simultaneously.

well to be fair to the incest crowd, being ?one" doesn't necassarily mean being ONE. Just like the Borg. Seperate yet connected or simple family ties. Or even less conspicuous all vampires are one as they are all fragments of the Intelligence or Children of Cain ect

By the way EVERYONE MUST check out Mr. Deity on youtube do it do it NOW

I fear Gay Colossus....as would every single man here.

Why would Gay colossus even want you when he has several
himbos fighting for his attention?

Why do attractive men rape fat chicks?

The mind is a crazy thing and tends to get more unbalanced the more one is removed from the norms of society. Look at how many nutcases have god complexes as doctors, actors, and lawyers. Now imagine how messed up someone would be in the head if he had super powers.

I don't think he meant to do this, but your implying that gay=rapist.
And I really don't think he'd bother with you when he and northstar or Flatman or Obsidian are much better looking.

Um yes, while you didn't mean to , you did.

don't you need to INTEND to IMPLY something. Now we can misread something by either ignoring possible insinuations or by blowing them up. All we got for sure is what we read and what he says he meant.

By Northstar, eve he would fear a gay raping colossus, 1) no one likes to be rapes 2) it's fricken colossus

Kinda hard to do that when everything you do is the basis for why you are worshipped.
See the Dragons and Gods book for Palladium Fantasy Second Ed. for interesting ways to write up deific characters.

He's referring to people thanking God for his "help" in absolutely every single thing that happens on Earth...from the sun rising and setting to a drug-addicted football player thanking him for helping him catch the winning touchdown pass in the Super Bowl.

I still don't see where that relates to a private deity. All those attributed miracles and blessings are everything God does?

According to the Dragons and Gods book, a god's SDC and power base is based on his worshippers, whom he gains by deeds. The form they take is whatever they believe their worshippers wish them to look like. :-P
I just picked up that book this weekend. I wanted to see what it said about the Osiris thing, and it does state that if all the pieces are found he will be resurrected; they are magic items to be located according to that particular text.

How are those two related and how are they related to a deity's privacy?

A deity has no privacy if people are hanging on his/her every word. It is kinda like the difficulty famous people and celebrities have in maintaining a private life, only if a god goes into seclusion for long enough, he/she can die.
The pieces of Osiris can be likened to groups of people worshipping him: only if all believe can he return to his worshippers.
The idea is that gods compete for worshippers as part of their survival, and only the most popular survive.

So just how are mortals, with mortal perception to know all God does and says?

Um, this conversation is getting deep. I will attempt to go on as best I can, but we are somewhat delving into a mix of gaming and philosophy.
Supposedly, everything that happens in the gods' world is reflected in our reality. Many rely on priests to read the signs or consult oracles. It is kind of a faith thing. I guess that mortals don't know what goes on and that is why some deities perish.

The concept is taken from the Hermes Trismegistus, the basis for Kaballistic teachings. "As Above, So Below." It is the basis for all astrologial knowledge and tarot readings.
What can I say, I'm Wiccan. 8)
