The Mixotoxodon is one of the species that was brought back to life using Gene-Tech. But when the Crash happened, this creature, as it started mutating with the other animals, became known as a powerful and hardy worker, which caused most other creatures to search for them in order to get them to work at various odd jobs, such as farming, logging and construction.

Apologies for not dropping by earlier in search of new minions; integrating the Smallkin into the structure of Greater New England and the Greater New England Armed Services took much of my time.
Some nice new additions. Especially the pill-bug; having seen enough of them in my garden, they're familiar to me.
Great, now I'm starting to think about trying my hand at doing Mutant Sponges. :D

Here's one of my latest mutents for you all:

Marsupial: Diprotodon
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Diprotodon, sometimes called Giant Wombat or the Rhinoceros Wombat, was the largest KNOWN Marsupial that ever lived, existing from about 1.6 million years until around 46,000 years ago (through most of the Pleistocene Epoch).
Its fossils were found across Mainland Australia, which include complete skulls and skeletons, as well as hair and foot impressions. The closest living relatives, that are still surviving, are the Wombats and the Koalas. It’s been thought that the Diprotodon may ne the inspiration for the legends of the Bunyip of the Aboriginals of Australia.
But, when the science of Gene-tech became more widespread, some scientists decided to recreate this creature for various Theme Parks and Zoo’s for a (fair-sized) profit. But when the “Crash” happened, the Diprotodon’s managed to escape their enclosures and made it to the varios small rives, bogs and swamps, and started to mutate along with the various the other animals .

It preyed on various animals, such as Antelope, Deer, Elephant Calves, Aurochs, Baboons, Wild Horses and perhaps Early Humans.
After the advent of Gene-tech, some people wanted to have a “perfect” guard animal, so, after doing some research, some of them decided to recreate the ancient canine: the Xenocyon Lycanoides. Here's a small something for you all:

Bird: Baptornis
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Baptornis is an extinct species of flightless aquatc bird that lived during the late Cretaceous (about 80-87 million years ago). Its fossils were discovered in Kansas, which was at the time part of the Weatern Interior Seaway (which was a shallow shelf sea). Its fossils were first discovered in the 1870's by Othniel Charles Marsh.. It is thought to behaved similar to maqny freshwater birds (like the Loon), hunting smaller, more mobile, prey then its larger relatives. Unlike the Darter however, it could not spear its prey, but instead held it in its beak like today's Mergansers.
When the technology known as Gene-tech was introduced to the general population, many people wanted exotic animals as pedts. The Baptornis was one of those animals that were recreated for the public. Many people who were rich decided that they wanted one for thier use for when they wanted to go fishing on the open ocean,. which allowed the Baptornis to use its full diving abilities, while on thier yachts.
When the Crash happened, killing many humans and causing the animals to mutate, a large number of Baptornis managed to escape from captivity and managed to get to the various water- and seaways. After awhile, the Baptornis (along with various other ocean-going water fowl and mammals) decided to create a ocean-going community that could move about (both along and ontop of) the ocean wsith ease. This was decided upon in order to make sure to NOT over-fish the local wildlife.

Here's another one:

Bird: Wellnhoferia
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Wellnhoferia is a species of early Bird that is closely related to Archaeopteryx. It lived in Germany during the Late Jurassic Period. The fossils were discovered in the 1960's near Eichstatt, Germany and discribed in 1988.
When Gene-tech (along with the E.G.G.'s) was released to the general public, some people who enjoyed the company of Birds (especially Predatory Birds) decided that they wanted to recreate something "special and unique" for thier pastimes (I.E. hunting). Thus the Wellnhoferia (and to a lesser extent The Archaeopteryx, for smaller, ground based, prey, and the Haast's Eagle for larger prey) was recreated for sporting purposes.
But when the "Crash" happened, some of the animals that were bred in captivity for sport (such as hunting Dogs and such), stayed near where they were raised and created what would become hunters and gatherers.

I best not tell my mother about it, then. Warm weather brought out a small eighteen-inch garter snake in our driveway for a few days and she freaked(well, not that bad, but most of our conversations revolved around her trying to find an excuse to dislike the little bugger...who took off after a few days). :D
Yeh gods, I hadn't seen a garter snake(or any snake for that matter) for YEARS...nice to see them still slithering in the neighborhood.

Here's another mutant for you:

Shark: Cladoselache
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Cladoselache is a species of Prehistoric Shark that lived during the Devonian Period (between 416 million years ago and 359 Million Years Ago). It once roamed the oceans of North America (which practally ran up the middle of the continent). Fossils of this shark were discovered in the Cleveland Shale on the South shore of Lake Erie. The Cladoselache shows many strange features, the most important of which is that it's almost entirely devoid of scales (except for those around the edges of the fins, mouth and eyes).
When Gene-tech and the E.G.G.'S came out onto the open market for the public, some people (with loose morals) decided to (re)create some creatures for protection. Some of these people, who owned islands, decided to bring back the Cladoselache to protect their homes.
But when the Crash happened, the Cladoselache's that were held in captivity escaped out into the oceans of the world and migrated as they mutated. Most became pirates or even as bodyguards and underwater assasins.

When Gne-tech was created, some people, who ran water parks that featured animals decided to ad some unique, and unusual animals to the parks. One of them was the Stethacanthus. But, after a few years, when "The Crash" happened, some of the creatures stayed behind as most of them escaped. the ones thyat stayed were the ones who created ocean-side atractions or followed rivers inland and created fish farms for any carnivorious communities. these mutants made a fair amount of cash and expanded to created other types of underwater farms.

Here's a special something for you all:

Anomalocaris
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Anomalocaris is an extinct species of Arthropod-like Marine animal that were first discovered in the Ogygopsis Shale, by a Mr. Joseph Frederick Whiteaves. More examples of this species were found in the famous Burgess Shale deposits. The Anomalocaris mainly lived during the Cambrian period and had a range that consisted of parts of Chinam USA, Canada, Poland and Austrailia.
Due to some fluke of nature, scientists, after looking through various deep sea trenches, found a small community of Anomalocaris in the Mariana Trench. After bringing up some samples of the animal for study, it was found that they could survive at great depths for their entire life span. The scientists then started to clone the animal in order to see about how they could use it to modify people to survive better in deep-sea pressure.
But the Crash happened when the scientists were on the brink of discovery. The lab specimens, which were already pretty intelligent due to the experiments, then managed to escape, proceeding to go to other places where there were deep sea trenches. Once there, they stated to populate the areas and mutate even more. After awhile, they started to mine the minerals that were in the area, and became well known for the deep sea mining, and production of, various metals and precious stones.

Here's a new Dino for you to stat out, though it is a kind of raptor so maybe coud be covered by another dino already statted out.

Sinocalliopteryx

And maybe you could find more details about Sinonithosaurus, which has been found in the stomach of the fossils of the Sinocalliopteryx, so the new mutant can have a feast of its fav meal.

Upon completion of their area for research, the scientists started to clone and breed the Koolasuchus, alongside other ancient reptiles, for study. When the Crash happened and the animals started to change and mutate, the Koolasuchus managed to free themselves and the other animals and escaped into the wild new world. After a few years, some of the Koolasuchus started to form enclaves.

As scientist started studying various specimens, ancient, prehistoric insects were discovered in amber that had well preserved DNA of Ichthyornis in their stomachs. Upon extracting the DNA samples, various Ornithologists started cloning the Ichthyornis using the E.G.G.'s. After awhile, it was found that they were a speedy and agile animal, even more then it first appeared.
But when the Crash happened, some members of the species, along with other lab and experimental animals, escaped captivity and managed to get to the West Coast, where they managed to thrive and survive in decent numbers. Here's the next:
Crocodile: Deinosuchus
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Deinosuchus is an extint species that was related to the Aligator and lived from between 73-80 Million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous Period. It once lived along what was once known as the Western Interior Seaway thatran through the prehistory of North America. It was an oppertunistic Apex predator that may have been capable of killing and eating large dinosaurs. It may of eaten Sea Turtles, fish and other aquatic and terrestial prey.
When Genetech and the E.G.G's were created, the Deinosuchus was one of the many ancient creatures that was recreated for zoo's, nature preserves and for study. As time went on, the Crash happened and the Deinosuchus that were in the wild (or had escaped from theie enclosures/pens INTO the wild) was mutating, they became far more agressive due to their new intelligences and bodies. After the first two (2) generations grew into maturity, the agression in the mutants calmed down somewhat, butthey avoided any and all settlements, effectively becoming known as hermits.

And the next:

Dicranurus
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Dicranurus is and extinct species of Trilobites that lived during Early to Middle Devonian period of Earth's history. They lived in what was a shallow sea that existed between Euramerica and Gondwana, which is now modern-day Oklahoma and Morocco. It's fossils are much treasured by many fossil collectors through out the world.
When Genetech and the E.G.G.'s were brought out for the public, some scientists decided to see if they could bring some of the Dicranurus back. Unfortunately, they had only limited success with it, at which point, they proceeded to dispose of almost all of the specimens in the labs. After awhile, the scientists had thought that they had properly disposed of the animals, they started to hear that the Dicranurus (or animals that were similar) were popping up in either restaurants or in the wild.
As it turns out, two groups had managed to save some specimens. One group was a group of Eco-Terrorists, who had released the animals into the wild. While the other group was a small group of three student lab workers, who started to clone and raise the animals for mass sale and consumption. As it turns out, the Dicranurus was incredibally delicious and nutricious.
But before anyone could find out anything more, the Crash happened. At which point, as the animals started to mutate, the Dicranurus recieved a population boom and started to spread out through the warm waters of the southern climates.

And the last one, for now:

Didelphodon
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Didelphodon is a ancient species of Opossum that lived during the Late Cretaceous Period (70-65 Million Years) in North America, alongside Dinosaurs. It is one of the earliest Opssum ancestors known, and isn't significantly different from more modern speciea. It may have mainly survived on hunting and eating insects, snails prehistoric Turtle Hatchlings and Dinosaur Hatchlings at night.
When Genetech and the E.G.G.'s were created, Palaeontologists and scientists decided to recreate the Didelphodon to further study Mammelian Evolution. But, they only got so far in thier studies while in their labs, which were located in thickly forested, isolated regions (due to the fact that some scientists were also studying ancient Bacteria and Viruses in the same set of buildings), when the Crash happened. As the chaos spread through out the world, The scientists had to devote the vast majority of thier time in trying to create antidotes for the viruses that wewre unleashed onto the planet.
It took time for the scientists and lab workers to realise that the various recreated prehistoric animals and lab animals were changing and gaining intelligence. After much debate on the part of the scientists on what to do with the animals and how to deal with the problems that were arising. Many ethical questions were brought up and answers were sought after. It wasn't until one of the cleaners, who had over heard everything and who was a large fan of military and alternative science, suggested that the newly sentiant (and still mutating) animals be put to work in the labs and as security personnel.
As it turns out, there were many people who were trained in various milatary and Hand-to-Hand practices, including various Asian Martial Arts. Over the years, as the animals population increased and the human population decreased, word spread that there was an enclave of scientists and doctors that were working for the betterment of all sentient kind. The vast majority of the Didelphodon population had become a sort of "Spook Squad" fdor the Enclave, fighting, as well as leading, with the other mutant creatures to protect their home territory and homeland.

And now, for the latest creation:

Elephant: Columbian Mammoth
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Columbian Mammoth is an extinct species of Elephant, and a sub-species/descendant of Mammoth Meridionalis (or better known as the Southern Mammoth). It lived in the Late Pleistocene with a home range of North America, in the United States, all the way South, to Nicaragua and Honduras, in the Southern portion of Central America. The Columbian Mammoth was one of the last surviving members of what is known as the American Megafauna, with the last members surviving until between 7,800 years ago (locatend in an area of what is now known as Nashville, Tennessee) until 12,500 years ago as the glaciers receeded and the Savanna and grassland turned to forests and deserts at the end of the last Ice Age.
With the invention of the E.G.G.'s and Gene-tech, various scientists and nutritionists tried to find a more high-energy/low-colestrial type of meat for people to eat. One that wouldn't really be susceptible to most modern day diseases, like Cattle or most types of fish are. That's when they realised that they could recreate the one type of mammel that was both hardy and could produce plenty of meat: The Mammoth.
After an intense amount of debate an research, no obe could settle on which species/breed of Mammoth to recreate. So they recreated the Columbian Mammoth for North American consumers, while the Southern Mammoth (which is the most well known of the two) was recreated for European and Asian consumers.
But, when the Crash happened and everything was thrown into chaos, the Columbian Mammoths (in North America) and the Southern Mammoth (throughout Europe and Asia) broke free of the food farms and enclousures and proceeded to roam and spread throughout what was once thier home regions, mutating all-the-while. After some time, the Columbian Mammoths set up vegitable farms and sugar cane and chocolate plantations throughout various warm climates. After some time, the Columbian Mammoths of Central America, and the the Northern portion of South America, formed a loose coalition of farms (effectively creating a nation without knowing it) for easy access of communications and trade.

Here's another one for the collection:

Entelodont
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Entelodont is an extinct species of Pig-like animals that were more closely related to Whales and Hippos then to actual Pigs. They lived throughout North America, Europe and Asia. they lived from about the Middle of the Eocene until the early Miocene Epochs of Earths history, which streatched from 37.2 Million Years Ago until 16.3 Million Years Ago. They were sometimes nicknamed either Hell Pigs or Terminator Pigs due to thier stature and thier facial features. The Entelodonts were an omnivorus species, eating both meat and plants, but due to thier adaptations, prefered to eat meat, effectively meaning that they hunted live prey or (to a lesser extent) eating carrion. They would have dispatched both prey and rival predators with a blow from thier large, dense jaws. They lived in, and roamed, the forests and plains as the apex land predators of thier time.
With the advent of Gene-tech and the creations of E.G.G.'s, some scientists, paleontologists and researchers wanted to study this large creature. After some searching, they managed to gather enough DNA to create 10 members in order to breed them (5 males and 5 females). But after a year after they were (re)created, the Crash happened, setting the creatures free into the chaos and wilds of the Southern United States. After about 100 years of being free, small enclaves of the animals have been found, revealing that they too have mutated and turned into a hunter/gatherer society.

Well, since you asked for it, here it is:

Dinosaur: Theropod: Sinocalliopteryx
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Sinocalliopteryx is a species of Theropod Dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous (130 Million Years Ago) and lived throughout what would become Asia (mainly China). It was found in the Yixian Formation, which is part of the Jianshangou Beds, located in Liaoning Provence. Which are located in the North-Eastern portion of the Continent. The Sinocallioptereyx roamed the plains and lightly forested areas, where it hunted Prehistoric Mammels, Insects, some fish, and lizards and other small prey.
When other forms of scientists managed to get thier hands on E.G.G.'s, and the Gene-tech that could be used with it, they started (re)creating Animals, both from modern times and the ancient past, for study purposes and for possible exhibition. After awhile of studying and research, some scientists were hired to clone/recreated Dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures for various countries, one of which was China. The Chinese government started to clone various animals, some of which involved either making animals for either thier citezens happiness or to feed them. The Sinocalliopteryx is one of the cratures used for entertainment by putting them in Zoo's and living museums.
When the Crash happened, they, along with other animals escaped and started to change due to either viruses or various chemicals or other sources. As time went on and the mutations settles to a steady rate, the Sinocalliopteryx became leaders, scientists, researchers or teaches while other creatures became members of other classes.

Here's another wonderful mutant:

Feline: Megantereon
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Megantereon was a succesful Feline predator that lived on the plains and sparsly forested areas of North America, Europe and Africa. They lived from the Late Oligocene in to the Pleistocene (10 Million to 500,000 years ago). It is thought that the Megantereon may have been the ancestor of other Saber-toothed cats, such as Smilodon Fatalis. It has many, various, sub-species that preyed on large prey like anciet Rhinoceros, Elephants and some species of Horse, as well as ancient hominids like Austropithicus and others.
The Megantereon is one of the species of Ancient Great Cats that scientists and Paleontologists brought back from extinction through the use of the E.G.G.'s and Genetech. After a bit of debate, some governmental scientists decided that they wanted to see about the possibility of putting animals (both from the present and the past) into the weapons program as a possible soldier/weapon. The leading nation for this was America, with various nations in Europe following. After awhile of research and study was done on which animals were to be used, the Megantereon was put into a slot for a soldier that could work well both in open grasslands/scrublands and at night.
But when the Crash happened, and everything went into chaos, and creatures started to mutate, the experimental subjects escaped into the wilds and chaos of the world. After a time, when things were starting to settle down, The Megantereon had formed clans and started to sell themselves out as mercenaries, which they were good at doing.

Here's another water-based mutant goodie for you:

Fish: Dunkleosteus
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Dunkleosteus is a species of ancient, prehistoric fish, similar to the Celocanth. It was the largest species known to the world, before or since. It lived during the Late Devonian period (380 to 360 Million years ago). The family and group that it belonged to barely lasted 50 million years (compared to the 400 million years that Sharks lived), not surviving the change from the Devonian to the Carboniferous Periods. They were commonly living (with fossils found in) in seas that covered parts of North America, Poland, Belgium and Morocco with 9 sub-species total.
It was first discribed back in 1873, but hadn't been given the name of Dunkleosteus until 1956.
When the Gene-Tech and the E.G.G.'s were released to the general populace, the Dunkleosteus was one of the fish species that was brought back to life for study. This was mainly done to see what (and how) the species lived and thrived through thier life cycles. The scientists who were studying them had found that the Dunkleosteus was a tough, vicious predator that attacked everything that it could, no matter if they thing that was being attacked was bigger or smaller then itself.
But before they could dispose of of the animals, various animal rights groups started to break into some of the facilities in order to free the predatory animals. Just as they were doing this, the Crash happened, making the break-ins a moot point.
Once released into the wilds of the world, the Dunkleosteus started to mutate with the rest of the creatures of the world. After a length of time, stories started to spread amongst the mutant animal living on the coast (and which spread inland with less frequency and information) about large, vicious, mutant fish that had heads that were as hard as rock and had started to attack coastal villages (both om land and in the water). After a time, it was found out that it was the mutant Dunkleosteus's that was doing the attacking. As it turns out, the Dunkleosteus species became what would called "Ba' ah' ska klato" or "Warriors of the Kelp" in their language. There was almost nothing that could be on par with these monsters of the waves.

Here's another mutant for you all:

Fish: Saurichthys
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Saurichthys is a species or Prehistoric Ray-Finned Fish from the Triassic Period of Earths history with fossils that have been found through out the world. In many places, through out the world, there is fossil evindence that the Saurichthys may have lived alongside (and perhaps preyed upon) the flying Reptile Preondactylus. It had been found out that this creature has many moder-day relatives, such as Sturgeons, Paddlefish and the Bowfins.
When Gene-tech and the E.G.G.'s came out into the general public, and some scientists started to clone various animals, the Saurichthys was on of the animals that was recreated/cloned the least due to the fact that there weren't many scientists or scholers who specialised in ancient Lobe-Finned Fish. Due to this, there wasn't many animals/experimental/study subjects who escaped during the time that the Crash was happening. But, after escaping and starting to mutate, the Saurichthys migrated to areas where there was little-to-no chance of either being found or encountering any other sentient mutant. As such, they live a hermit or monk-like existance.

Here's another mutation for you guys and gals:

Reptile: Tanystropheus
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Tanystropheus is a species of prehistoric reptile that lived about 232 million years ago (during the Middle Triassic period. It lived in Europe, the Middle East and China, with a large amount of young Tanystropheus found in what is now Italy. It had a mainly aquatic or semi-aquatic lifestyle, living along shorelines of oceans, seas and lakes. The species went through many mistaken identities through out the years, at one point being mistaken as a long tailed Pterosaur. There are many subspecies of Tanystropheus.
With the advent of Gene-tech and the E.G.G.'s, some inland fishermen (who were also arm chair Paleontologists and who lived in warm climates) decided that they wanted some help with thier sport. So many studies were done, and it was found that it would be a good idea to recreate the Tanystropheus. But when all was said and done, it was found out that the Tanystropheus was unable to be tamed. Most, when taken out on fishing trips to do what they were recreated to do, had proceeded to escape into the wilds. The escapees started to makee thier way deep into swamps or to lakes and rivers that were located deep in remote regions.
When the Crash happened, and they started to mutate, most decided to stay hidden away from the world. Some even formed enclaves (1D4 to 1D10 members) with each other or with other semi- or fully aquatic mutants.

Small scales that are Marine Blue, with the colouration of an Iguana's on the tail (Green with Dark Brown stripes).
10 Bio-E for Partial: Head is bigger and more rounded, witheyes that are more forward facing and a snout that is almost flush against the face, neck is one half times shorter then before (as long as the main trunk of the body), a body that is bigger then before, albeit still streamlined, limbs that are thickly packed with muscle, and a tail that is half the size then before.
