I had some second thoughts, yeah that about how long they lasted :D , so you might re-read the post above your reply.

I'm likely to take a good photo presentation as a challenge.

OK, 55 images of 1918 Ford 3-Ton Tank
I hate it when my mind wonders,

'OMAC-One Man Army Corps', the enforcer for the Orange blank face World Police.

I was thinking about the old guy in the chair in Dino Swamp picture. Sure that it was flying but what the hell. Grandpa got a chair.

Good to see you finally getting some of the stuff from the heyday of 5ST reposted... Even though right now, I'm about ready to give up on writing... Now get on to the stuff you asked permission to use, you silly humanoid.

Bah! I think part of what slows both us up is that we've read so much of other peoples' stuff we set excessively high bars for ourselves....The time it takes us to go from 'Wow! An idea just hit me that's really cool! I can't wait to write this out!"...to, "No, wait, man..Spider or Galoshman or Ruiner or Mighty Dragon did something along these lines that was WAY cooler and I know I'm going to be influenced by what he wrote and accidentally plagarize him...so what's the point?"gets so much shorter...where upon our muses that were just moments ago panting lustily and nibbling on our ears, hang their heads and go off to find a bar to get lonely drunk at...

Hmmmm Nothing new! No new PS products? And the whole weekend came and went. I'm looking forward to seeing more new stuff. Those are some very interesting links. I can't wait to see new stuff and see what actually comes out.

Please don't rock it, are all of us 'Left brain folk' will drown in our attempts to put something on paper or computer in a readable form.
The right side of the brain is used for writing and the left is math skills, I think that's right.

"No, unfold it, turn it around and hold it up to the light. Now stand facing the mirror. What does it say?"
"Why?"
"I want to see if it has anything to do with stuff on your forehead." :D

So try to read what you wrote on the bar napkins. Translate and transcript them. It maybe a new Fan Race based on someone you saw. A strange new tech item you thought you saw or hear. That new vehicle from the battle scene That was in the parking lot, where three other people leaving or going to bar all at the same time meet. That may have been the wreck, police and fire rescue all doing their thing. With a couple news crews and helicopter thrown in for good measure. My brain hurts and only had to pick up the dictionary 3 or 4 times to write this. but found 4 or 5 different words to use while doing it.

Muses, Olivia Newton-John the early years in Xanadui like the movie or maybe it was just the skating scenes that I remember Have always liked using Muses, those who entertain the Gods and word(s) that 'muses' are in them or sound likes it, "News" for my dumber ideas or gaming sites.

(Special thanks to Raven for his EMP rules...)

Paladin Steel PSIR-08 ‘Rip-Zapper’ Ion Rifle
(aka ‘Prong-Rifle’, ‘E-Cuter’)

“Skelebots...I hate skelebots...I really hate selebots...I ever tell you that?”
“Shut up and give me another ‘clip! There’s another dozen coming up around the motorpool!”

The black rubbery goo made a grab for the trooper before it suddenly went stiff and brittle, then shattered into a fine dust.
“Damn nano-goo....” The trooper swore as he watched the floating sphere of black nano go inert and crumble into dead-tech. The sapper whose back he was guarding nodded as he slapped cutter-charges on the security door they were assigned to take out.
“I’m not too keen on it either...Just keep blasting, unless you want to end up in an instant straitjacket waiting for some tweeker to come by and scramble your brain...Fusion charge’s about set.”
“Frammit, can’t wait for us to get to a LIVING target target to zorch, instead of this nano-trap gunk!” The guardian hissed as he slammed the crackling prongs of his zapper into a wall panel that had suddenly sprouted capture tentacles....

The PSIR-08 is a multi-function ion beam rifle developed with police, national guard, and monster/robot/cyborg-control in mind. In form, it resembles an M-16 rifle with two barrels, one over the other, with heavy insulation around the grips and barrel shrouding. It has superior range and damage to the PSIP-2 Smasher and PSIR-6 Viper Ion Rifle, but is heavier than either. Like many new-model Paladin Steel weapons, the PSIR-08 tries to incorporate several different functions in one weapon; a low-lethality mode, an anti-armor mode, and a ‘special attack’ mode.
In close-control mode, the two barrels and their shroud-halves snap apart about four inches, allowing for a large spark-gap between the two barrels, The sight of a massive electrical arc charging and sizzling between the two barrels is usually enough to intimidate trouble makers into ceasing resistance more or less immediately.
Lightning Bolt mode is an attempt to duplicate the effects of the larger Triax Lightning Blaster on a smaller scale, to produce a ‘tech-kill’ weapon capable of stopping cyborgs and vehicles in their tracks.
Unlike the other ion weapons, the Rip-Zapper cannot be modified with booster modules, because it already incorporates so many new technologies itself.
Originally designed with security forces in mind, the Rip-Zapper’s ‘tech-killer’ capabilities have made it popular with special forces units as well. Its ability to take out robotics and other gear, as well as to stun, make it a good weapon for commando operations where wholesale destruction is frowned upon.
Weight: 9 lbs
Range:(Ion Beam Mode) 1,700 ft
(SDC Beam) 2,000 ft
(Ion Bolt Mode) 3,000 ft
(Lightning Zapper Mode) 500 ft
(Shock-Zap Mode) 1-3 ft
Damage:(Ion Beam Mode) 4d6+2 MD per single shot
(SDC Beam)1d6 SDC shock-burn. Plus, victims must make a save of 14 or better, or be -8 to strike, parry, and dodge for 2d6 melees. A savings throw versus non-lethal poison means the person is unimpaired. 25% chance of knocking out unshielded cybernetics for 1d4 melees, and a 75% chance of permanently frying nanotech devices(like Armor-dissolving nanites or RMK/IRMSS systems).
(Ion Bolt Mode) 2d4 MD to 5 ft radius, 55% chance of knocking out unshielded cybernetics for 1d4 melees.
(Lightning Zapper Mode) Does stun damage similar to SDC beam through metal armor and light power armor.
On an unmodified roll of 18-20, it causes unshielded BIONICS and robots to spasm for 1d4 melees(Cyborg is at HALF bonuses to strike, parry, dodge, roll, and is -3 to initiative. Reduce speed by HALF).
This weapon does 1d4x10 EMP damage(no physical damage) to a 10 ft radius. The resulting percentage of the target location MDC is the chance of shutdown/disablement. All damage is cumulative. Damage in excess of 50% target MDC will require repair to make it functional; 75% or more damage will require replacement of the entire electrical system. Does double damage to non-shielded civilian systems. Bionics are -1 to dodge, roll, and strike for the affected limb/system, lasting 1d4 melees, non-cumulative, before the system resets itself.
(Shock-Zap Mode) Similar to a Shock Rod; 5d6 SDC, plus 55% chance of stunning humans, d-bees, and small animals for 1d4 melees, 15% against large or inhumanly powerful beings. Cumulative effects same as for Electro-Stunner(see pg 50 of Coalition: Lone Star).
Rate of Fire:(Ion Beam Mode)Standard
(SDC Beam) Standard
(Ion Bolt Mode) Four times per melee
(Lightning Zapper Mode) Can fire only one Zap every melee(takes fifteen seconds to power up)
(Shock-Zap Mode) ECHH
Payload:(Ion Beam Mode) 10 shots standard E-clip, 24 shots long e-clip.
(SDC Beam)One MD shot equals 10 SDC shots
(Ion Bolt Mode) Same as for Ion Beam mode
(Lightning Zapper Mode) Same as for Ion Beam mode
(Shock-Zap Mode) 20 zaps equals 1 MD shot
Features:
*Heavy insulation
*Waterproof---Can operate underwater, in which case DOUBLE the effective range, but users should be leery of using it in shock-zap mode underwater; on a fumble of 5 or less, the shock can travel back THROUGH the water to affect the weapon’s holder to do HALF damage/effect, unless they are suitably insulated or are naturally immune to electricity.
*Compatible with NG, CS, and PS-produced E-canisters
Options: None
Cost: 36,000 Credits

(Gonna hit Raven again...to remind him his writing DOESN'T suck...)

PS ‘Badger’ Demolition Grenades
(Inspired by Raven’s ‘Project Revenant’ Anaconda Demolitions SAMAS)

“Don’t think you can use these things against a tank and expect to carve through its armor like you were cutting a garbird roast...even if the charge makes contact and starts drilling, metal armor’s not as prone to crack and shatter as stone...all you’ll get is a lot of pretty sparks and the charge will fail to seat properly unless you managed to get the thing over thin metal, like an intake...Most likely, on a moving vehicle, the bomb’s going to fall off, then explode harmlessly...You’ve just wasted an expensive sapping charge...So save your Badgers for bunkers, and use your AP missiles on the movers...”
-Sergeant Eduardo Elgaden, 17th Company, Greater New England Regular Army Rangers.

“What’s that buzzing noise? Sounds like a dri---”
-Last words of anonymous bandit sentry, before the total obliteration of his bunker, continental Newfoundland wilderness territories.

Badger Grenades are special demolition charges developed after VFS 1st Airborne Division Rangers had the misfortune of being able to observe the new Coalition "Anaconda" SAMAS at work blowing apart the Kingsdale fortifications the Rangers were hiding behind. Though the Ranger unit withdrew with nearly 75% casualties, courtesy of the new Coalition weapon and others, they did get detailed scans(and one example torn off a Coalition armor, along with the entire forearm, by a particularly foolhardy Ranger) of the Anaconda’s drill-spike demolitions implanter, its operation, and its effects. PS engineers were particularly impressed with the blast enhancement effects their Coalition counterparts were getting from implanted fusion charges, and set about adapting of the concepts to their own work. PS already had similar systems in deployment with many of their industrial power suits for rock drilling, but had only used them in limited combat actions. However, rather than design a new power armor for the new weapons application, R&D proposed two new weapons; a heavy rifle-like weapon resembling a jackhammer with an oversized underbarrel grenade launcher, and a hand-deployed self-deployed demolition charge. The latter project begat the ‘Badger’.
The ‘Badger’ Demolition Grenade is a cylinderical-shaped tactical munition, slightly larger than a beer can, with the butt-end weighted for throwing accuracy, and bands of hard metal serrations around the end. When activated and thrown against a target, the Badger deploys a set of three tong-like spring-loaded legs that hook onto(hopefully) the target surface, steady the grenade, and brace it in place. Immediately the serrated bands will begin spinning at high speed on contact, and will begin cutting into the target surface and screwing the munition into the target. The legs further brace and push the grenade in, as well as prevent the charge from being removed(can be set to explode if tampered with). Magnetic clamps can also be added for further securing the charge in place. Once the charge has burrowed to a pre-set depth(or until its rapid-fatigue battery cell wears out), the plasma charge explodes, its effects being magnified by its deep placement, fracturing internal supports and infrastructure. The Badger works best against stone and concrete materials; its metal penetration ability is less effective.
Badgers come in several explosive types; a Type 1 Light, Type 2 Medium, and Type 3 Heavy. Paladin Steel is also experimenting with rifle delivered versions, using a muzzle-mount adaptor for laser and projectile rifles.
Other versions under consideration include less expensive high explosive models, TW munitions and insertion technologies, air-deployable cluster versions(for scattering across structures by shell or missile), ‘smart’ versions with sonic sensors, and acid munitions, for more controlled ‘burns’.

Weight:(Type 1 Light) 1 lb
(Type 2 Medium) 5 lbs
(Type 3 Heavy) 8 lbs
Range:(Type 1 Light) 120 ft if thrown
(Type 2 Medium) 80 ft if thrown
(Type 3 Heavy) 1d6x10 ft if thrown
Note: If thrown, rather than placed, on a 1-5 the grenade misses proper orientation and explodes as an external charge. A hit does damage as normal, and a Natural 20 means that not only is the charge correctly oriented, but it is placed so as to do maximum damage to a critical internal stress point....roll as for a proper demolition skill roll.
Damage:(Drill) Does 4d6 MD(half damage on metal) per melee, for 1d4 melees.
(Explosive Charge)
(Type 1 Light)2d6x10 MD when self-placed inside a spike hole, 6D6x10 when used in a spike hole and with a successful demolitions skill roll, 6d6 MD when used
outside with a 10 ft blast radius.
(Type 2 Medium)4D6x10 when self-placed inside a spike hole, 1D4x100 when used in a spike hole and with a successful demolitions skill roll, 1D4x10 when used
outside with a 12 ft (1m) blast radius.
(Type 3 Heavy)6D6x10 when self-placed inside a spike hole, 1D6x100 when used in a spike hole and with a successful demolitions skill roll, 1D6x10 when used
outside with a 14 ft (1m) blast radius.
Special Features: *Time or Remote Detonation Capability
*Gecko-pad Claws allow for clinging to surfaces such as polished stone or surfaced concrete.
Cost:(Type 1 Light) 3,000 credits
(Type 2 Medium) 8,000 credits
(Type 3 Heavy) 10,000 credits

PSA-11E Combat Engineer
“I know you’ve heard of the PSA-12 being touted as the super-strong-super-builder and engineer of the whole new PSpower armor line...let me tell you right off....that is a load of crap.....superstrong does not mean super efficient. It just means you got that much more muscle to get you into trouble. What an engineer needs in the field, besides strength, is precision, as well as the ability to go anywhere the job takes you, give you the tools to assess the situation, and keep you safe while you figure out what to do.
The PSA-11E is that...I had the opportunity to put the early models through their paces in the field, and I do mean we _tested_ these things, so when the company started to deploy them in the field, there wouldn’t be any screwups. Even then, I saw the missions we ran as extended tests, and since these things were intended to be piloted by engineers, you can be assured that they kept constant notes...notes that we used to improve the GreaseMonkey.
Everything from the drop we made over Nevada to install a new water system in some of the towns there, before the vampires came in.......that was a real test of the GreaseMonkey...not to mention us. Drilling down to the aquifer, installing the underground sprinkler system, all the while freaking out everytime a bat came buzzing by.....I was sure glad to fly out of there and back to the nice, wet, North East!
Or how about the reactor breach in Free Quebec? You heard about that? I’m surprised; Free Quebec’s kinda stodgy with news since Prosek declared war on ‘em. Anyways... They were looking at the possibility of radioactive contamination of hundreds of square miles and thousands of people when that old fission-horse brewed up.....and the military power suits they had just lacked the equipment and fine control to do anything. Fortunately we were working across the border and the local commander graciously let us nip through the pickets, suit up, and go in to contain the leak and fix the damage. Sure, they didn’t acknowledge us, and I haven’t heard from Accounting whether or not they paid us for our help, but just knowing that the GreaseMonkey could do the job was enough for me.
Of course, I expect that people will complain that the GreaseApe isn’t good at combat. That’s partially true....its not as fast or well armed as a SAMAS or even an old Samson.....but guns aren’t everything. The GreaseMonkey can carry some pretty heavy firepower if you want, but a good engineer doesn’t always rely on guns to get the job done.
Like when one of our mine security teams was called off to go hunting for missing locals and found them enslaved by some sort of weird sicko d-bee witch. Found them bound to animated skeletal golems...alive and conscious, and unable to escape. Our team got themselves backed into a wall by these things, unable to shoot back without killing the hostages......its gotta be pretty unnerving to see a giant animated iron skeleton advancing on you with a flaming death-blade, and be unable to defend youself because there’s a naked kid trapped in the thing’s spine and ribcage, screaming that they don’t want to die, and begging you to help them..... The team was about to kill the kids anyway, if only to put them out of their misery before the golems took the team down, when the mining crew , who’d been following the action through their comlinks, used their seismic scans to pinpoint the team, bored through the wall behind them, backed a tanker truck of the quick-dry liquid cement we use to stabilize mines and old ruins, and glued the golems in place. After that, it was a simple matter of keeping the golems glued in, while a couple of mages were sent for. A couple of dispel magic and magic disruption spells later, the GreaseMonkeys waddled in and jackhammered the golems to pieces and got the hostages out unharmed while the security team went on to perform some MAJOR mayhem on the witch. Just a matter of assessing the situation and applying the appropriate tools to the job. That’s what a good engineer does.
So don’t knock the GreaseMonkey because it isn’t a gun bunny. It’s a good solid machine that can hold its own in a situation if you use it right. We built it that way from hard experience...so it’s all up to you now. ”

Guisseppe “The Plumber” Mario---Operator, Paladin Steel Contract Engineering

This is the Combat Engineering variant of the PSA-11. Given the importance of both Paladin Steel as an engineering power, and the role of combat engineers in the Greater New England military, such a variant was seen as inevitable.
The PSA-11E adds extra protectionat the cost of speed. A slightly larger and more powerful fusion engine is added, upgrading the PSMPMHD-PF11.5 to a PF11.8 rating, with extra battery capacity for powering tools and accessory equipment. The torso is noticeably thicker and more barrel-chested, allowing for the enhanced inner ‘safety cage’ protecting the operator. The footpads now incorporate magnetic grips and fold-down support pylons for surer footing when manhandling heavy loads.
Internally, several new ‘black boxes’ have been added to aide the engineer-operator in various engineering tasks, including heavy equipment repair and architectural engineering.
Since its introduction, the PSA-11E has become a common sight in support echelons of the GNE Regular Army, PS Contract Engineering teams, and even civilian contractors operating near the GNE states’ ‘hot’ borders. The Navy even has a further specialized version, the PSA-11E(N) for its ‘See-Bee’ teams; the major changes being amphibious operations envirosealing, flotation compartments, several small hydrojets for manuevering, and improvements to the life support system(allowing for extended underwater operations).
Changes:

Construction Features:
Full Radiation Shielding and Thermal Insulation
Life Support----standard 8 hour independant air supply
Emergency Ejection System(blows pilot free in an emergency)
Spotlight---800 ft
Radio w/signal scrambler--500 mile long range, 5 mile short range.
External Loudspeaker---80 decibels
External Shoulder-mount Spotlights---Visible and IR light. Range: 800 ft
Electromagnetic Grippers(feet)-----Not powerful enough to allow the PSA-11E to walk up the sides of buildings, these contact plates are nevertheless powerful enough to anchor the ‘suit to work platforms and the hulls of vessels.

Gyro Compass and Level---All-important tool of the trade.

Engineering Computer---A specialized mini-computer with 3-D imaging capability, that can be used to store blueprints and engineering data, and can be used to alter/correct stored plans through a combination of a voice-interface and retina-designation system. The system also uses information from the sensors, such as the gyro-compass and laser rangefinder, to plot balance, level, and size, and can be used as a calculator for engineering problems. The EngComp can display three-dimensional data charts/plans on the Head Up Display for the pilt, and can also feed data to an external port, such as a holo-emitter, flatscreen, or printer.
For engineers expecting to go into combat with sensitive data in memory, the EngComp can be fitted with an anti-tampering charge or virus program that can wipe the memory and fuze the hardware in event of emergency.

External Holo-Emitter----This system uses a small (1 ft) retractable armature and emitter crystal to project a small(12 square inches maximum) holo-image for others to see. This is particularly useful when used to produce 3-d virtual models of structures.

Diagnostic Computer-----A set of software and sensor interfaces that hold s information on over 3,000 common vehicles and machinery types. This system gives the specs and optimal performance stats for them, as well as blueprints, and recommended service proccedures. More importantly, when linked up to an appropriately equiped vehicle(vehicles and machinery with integral diagnostic hardware/software are best), the DiagComp can actually diagnose mechanical problems and suggest solutions.
This system gives a +10% to Automotive Repair, a +5% to Robot, Aircraft, and Armorer mechanical skills. The DiagComp also gets a +5% to Computer Repair of most common computer systems (but NOT software problems). If the vehicle/machine being tested has a compatible “smart” diagnostic system/interface, add +5% to the skill roll.
The system also provides an encyclopedia-function for identifying various machinery types and their capabilities, but offers no bonuses to skills; its strictly a database.
The system can be upgraded with additional memory and data discs, as information on new systems becomes available. Data discs and additional memory boards cost anywhere from 800 to 10,000 credits, depending on the type/subject of data, the data density/completeness, and its age.......For instance, the onboard database already covers most Coalition and Northern Gun vehicles and robots, since there has been enough time and examples/technical manuels falling into the (wrong) hands , that thourough knowledge is available, but data on recent Coalition designs is sketchy at best, and solid info worth much. More is likely to be known of Northern Gun and GAW designs, since they are commercial entities who sell to the open market, plus they are targets for regular industrial espionage.
PS design info is limited in some respects, open in others....Company trade secrets have to be protected for some products, like PSA-12s and Grav Copters, so only operating and maintenance information is available, while data for simpler equipment like the AAAV-7 and Greyhound, may include full blueprints.

Back Pack Cargo Pod---This armored cabinet-style compartment is large enough to hold a Hardsuit, and has roughly 6.8 ft x 2.5 ft x 3 ft of internal space. In theory, the Cargo Pod can carry a person, but as the Pod is airtight and lacks a life support system, this is not advised for anything over a few minutes.
This internal space CANNOT be used for anything besides cargo storage; it’s integral to the design structure.

Micro-Manipulators(2)(Mounted on the inside forearms). 4 ft reach, PS 10
Fine control equal to normal human hand control.
Extensor Arms---Arms can extend out 6 ft
Modular Arm Assemblies--If so desired, the utility hand can be swapped off and replaced with a power tool assembly. The PSA-11E is fully compatible with the Mining ‘Borg Tool System from RWB 14: New West.
Hardpoints on forearms(6; 3 each)
Hardpoints on shoulders(2, 1 each)

Sensors:
Thermo-Imaging----2000 ft
IR/UV Optics-------2000 ft
Telescopic/Image Enhancement Optics---4000 ft
Image Magnification Optics--------
Low-light/Nightvision System---2000 ft
Laser Targeting/Range Finder------6000 ft, adds a +1 to strike w/ ranged weapons
External Audio Pickup---300 ft
Radiation Detector/Geiger Counter
Metal Detector------200 ft range. Fairly useless in metal-rich environs, like a city or ship.

Contact Microphone---This is an Ultra-Ear auditory sensor with an adhesive head. The Contact Microphone can be stuck on to a surface and used to listen for activity. The contact mike is particular useful for listening to the internal workings of machines, picking up tell-tale vibrations from incipient malfunctions, but the device is also useful for listening through walls, eavesdropping, and picking locks(hearing the action of bolts and tumblers----+10% to Pick Locks skill).

Ultra-Sound Scanner---This system uses ultra-high frequency sound to read the internal layout and composition of structures, such as concrete pipes, composite materials, and cement walls. 80 ft range

Stress Monitor---This system uses polarized light, short-range ultra-sound, and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) to read stresses and metal fatigue in metallic structures. This is also useful for detecting cracks in structures, and assessing damage. 20 ft range

Electro-Magnetic Activity Sensors(EMAS)---A short-range(50 ft) sensing system that detects electro-magnetic activity such as flowing electrical current , magnetic activity, and active machinery. This is particularly useful when examining circuitry and studying machinery, such as an electrically-fused bomb, for instance(+10% to Demolitions Disposal skill). It can even (40% level of accuracy) determine, at a distance, how much power is flowing. Note that high levels of local electro-magnetic activity and/or heavy insulation can blur or even negate the accuracy of the system.

Option Systems
The PSA-11E can be fitted with any variety of tool packs and utility modules, as the job dictates, and hardware becomes available, from nail guns and sand-blasters, to molecular welders and nano-tools. The GreaseMonkey is fully compatible with the Mining ‘Borg Tool System from RWB 14: New West.
The following, though, are among the more common/popular, requested from Paladin Steel:

a) Molecular Sniffer-----A single-space option package that gives the GreaseMonkey ‘olfactory” senses. Ideal for pinpointing chemical leaks, monitoring air quality, and guarding against chemical weapons attacks. There’s also the possibility that the Sniffer can detect alien creatures with exotic or unusual bio-chemistries.....The East Coast See-Bees have successfully used MS sensors to detect marauding giant squid, by detecting the concentrations of ammonia ions exuded by the creatures.
Cost: 60,000 credits

b) Water/Chemical Sprayer---General sprayer for liquids; anything from water and fire-retardant foam, to pesticides, corrosive agents, and cryogens. The Sprayer takes up ONE forearm space for one sprayer, and ONE space(either on the forearms or back) per storage tank.
Additional tanks may be carried on a bandolier or in the backpack cargo pod, but must be first removed then connected before use.
MDC: 20 MDC per storage tank
Weight: Sprayer is 15 lbs, Each storage tank weighs 25 lbs
Range: 200 ft
Damage: Varies. Filled with water, and used against vampires, it does 1d6x10 HP per burst/blast.
Rate of Fire: EPCHH
Payload: Each tank holds 50 gallons of liquid
Cost: 20,000 credits

c) Winch and Grapple Assembly---Takes up TWO back or forearm options. Includes 200 ft of MDC cable, and a winch capable of hauling up to 5 tons.
Weight: 500 lbs
Cost: 100,000 credits

d) Drill Pack---Rather than mount a arm mounted drill, this system mounts a backpack-mounted rocket-powered drill head launcher. The launcher can either be fired directly between the feet of the Macksuit like an oversized Glitterboy stabilizer pylon, or flipped over one shoulder and fired horizontally. The superhard drill head and its rocket charge quickly bore through rock, earth, and concrete within seconds. , while a high speed reel feeds in lightweight plastic 3-inch pipe afterwards. This gadget is great for drilling holes for blasting, or drilling for water.
The Drill Rocket CAN be used as a weapon, but only has a range of 200 ft in air, is -6 to strike, and only does 1d6 MD on impact. The rocket drill CANNOT be re-used after use......it’s worn out and expended.
MDC: 20 MDC per storage tank
Weight: 1000 lbs
Range: 100 ft of earth/rock/concrete(SDC or MDC), or 25 ft of SDC metal(10 ft of MDC metal) Average speed of the drill head is 25 ft per melee.
Damage: 1d6x10 MD per melee to a pinpoint (6 inch) area. Lasts 1d4 melees
Note that the rocket also blasts exhaust and debris back around the hose, so anyone caught in the 8-ft backblast plume takes 1d4x10 SDC. Caution is advised when using this device.
Payload: 1 rocket drill and 100 ft of lightweight pipe
Penalty: -2 to strike, parry, and dodge.
Cost: 200,000 credits. 2,000 credits per rocket drill.

e) Piledriver Sledge---This massive device takes up all three option spaces on one arm, and is so heavy and unwieldy that it imposes a -2 to strike/parry with the arm. The Piledriver consists of an enormous hardened armor striking head and driving pistons, anchored to the arm and powered by a small, contained, explosive charge. The ‘suit operator loads a small explosive cartridge (a Naruni plasma Cartridge will do in a pinch) into the firing chamber, points the Piledriver, and WHAM! Then, eject the cartrideg, and reload for the next shot. A great tool for breaking boulders, structures, and Earth Elementals. Sometimes called the “Blasting Point Technique” by anime fans .
MDC: The Piledriver has 100 MDC
Weight: 600 lbs
Range: 10 ft
Damage: 3d6x10 MD!
Rate of Fire: Once per melee; loading the cartridge takes one action
Payload: Firing chamber only holds one cartridge.
Cost: 150,000 credits, 40 credits per cartridge

f)Mini-Crane---Turns the PSA-11 into a recovery vehicle, with a deployable mini-crane boom and winch. Includes a heavy counterbalance and ram pylon for stabilizing the ‘bot during lifting/hauling operations. Includes a 12 ft deployable boom, 200 ft of MDC cable, and a winch capable of hauling up to 5 tons.
Weight: 1,000 lbs
Cost: 200,000 credits

g) Circular Saws-----This option takes up both arm options on the forearm, and consists of a large(3ft diameter) circular saw studded with teeth of superhard ceramic, a swivel mount, and a blade guard. Normally stowed swivelled backwards across the forearm, the saw assembly swings forward when in use, extending past the hand, with the blade guard/hood preventing the spinning blade from slamming back into the armor. The Circular Saw is primarily intended for those jobs where tearing with the hands is not precise enough, and where plasma torches might do unacceptable thermal damage, like felling trees, cutting asphalt and concrete, and carving up debris.
Weight: 100 lbs
Range: Melee
MDC per Blade:45
Damage: 6d6 MD per slash, 1d6x10+10 MD per full melee cut
Cost: 150,000 credits

h) “Gum Gun”----This option takes up two forearm spaces and consists of a high-pressure sprayer/applicator and two storage bottles. The “Gum Gun” applies/squirts a super-strong epoxy adhesive that can be used to cement MDC materials together, or make temporary patches. Used in quantity, the epoxy can be used to build up an MDC barrier. As a weapon, the Gum Gun can be used to capture opponents with an entangle.
Each application covers about five square feet,. To completely cover a human-six=zed target, the attacker must roll a 12 or better on the strike roll, otherwise only a limb is glommed. Anyone caught in the goo must have a supernatural or robotic PS of 30 or better to break free; otherwise they are stuck until the goo is somehow removed.
The epoxy sets within seconds, and can be used underwater. However, the sprayed epoxy needs 1d4 hours to properly cure, at which point it attains its maximum strength. Once the two tanks are emptied, the twin bottles, which are sold and attached together as a pair, can be quickly exchanged for fresh ones in one melee action, like changing an e-clip. For larger jobs, the K-12S can be fitted with a backpack tank holding additional chemicals.
Weight: 60 lbs for a single forearm sprayer, 200 lbs for the backpack tank.
Range: 100 ft
MDC : 25 for sprayer, 30 for tank.
Epoxy has 2d4 MDC per application, but hardens to 2d6 +1 MDC after curing for 1d4 hours
Damage: None
Payload: 30 applications per forearm tank. Backpack tank holds 100 applications
Cost: 50,000 credits for the forearm sprayer, 5,000 credits per 30-application cartridge, 11,000 credits per 100-application tank

Credit goes to Chad Elliot for suggesting that Bose-Einstein Condensate technology could lead to some novel equipment....

PSA-11F ‘FireDog’ Firefighter
“I’ve been a fire-eater all my life....sorta runs in the family, at least for three generations, and at least three of my kin are Bursters, though I don’t have the talent myself...we’ve all been either pro or volunteer fire fighters...so I’ve seen quite a few fires in my life...Remember the big fire at Windsor Locks on the Connecticut? Over 2,000 cubic feet of liquid oxygen in the tanks at the new fuel reduction plant they had just finished building as part of the new Bradley Aerospace Complex project....They’d already lost several smaller propane tanks, and some damn fool had vented an oxygen reservoir in the wrong direction...turned a plastic warehouse Quonset into sugar candy glass and collapsed it on top of a firefighting team.. But the main cryogen bubble-tanks were right in the way, and if those went off....kiss the whole town goodbye!....
So we suited up and dropped in...One team went to work chilling down the tanks with our zero-cee lasers, walking a fine line between letting the stuff boil in the tanks or embrittling the tanks themselves like those Quonsets, while the rest of the crew tackled the main blaze with Special-K( a foaming agent) and weather spells...The whole place was a tangle of pipes and rigs, and the fire was moving through service conduits, so the team had to get in close...place was hot enough that even the plain-clothes Bursters were getting scorched....Lot of exploding gas pockets and steam and smoke making the place a damn mess...But we held our own, and got beat up for it, but we beat that fire down and saved a few hundred lives, and a multimillion dollar reconstruction project...Couldn’t have done it without our PSA-11 suits though...
It’s a blaze like that that makes me love my FireDog all the more...Makes me wish those old-timers could have had a few of these...”
-----Robert ‘Third-Degree” Burns, Professional Firefighter, Springfield CoM Fire Department.

The PSA-11F is a ‘civilian’ model of the PSA-11, specially modified for firefighting and emergency rescue. These units are distinguished by a slightly more rounded look to their shoulders and main body, prominent flashing light/spotlight bars on back and shoulders, and their bright red and white color schemes, often accented with gold or silver trim.
The PSA-11F is IDENTICAL to the standard -model PSA-11 with the exception of the following changes/modifications:
Type: PS-AFRS-PSA-11F
Class: Armored Fire and Rescue Suit
Weight: Add 500 lbs to overall weight
Features of Note:
Add the Following:
*Directable Spotlight--300 ft range
*Thermal Resistant Armor---A combination of special heat reflective and rapid-radiating ceramics(derived from PS’s early work on space shuttle heatshielding) and a more advanced cooling system reduce the effectiveness of heat-based attacks, including plasma weapons, by HALF. Magic fires still do FULL damage, however.
*Molecular Analyzer---Allows for rapid identification of smoke chemical components
*Inertial Compass---Allows firefighters to find their way around and retrace their steps in the thickest smoke.
*Backpack Chemical/Water Tanks---The FireDog has two large reservoirs on the back for carrying firefighting liquids. Each tank holds 30 gallons. Typically used to carry special foaming agents for dealing with chemical fires.

Weapons Systems:
None standard, at least as such:

*Forearm Sprayer---The basic manipulator claw or hand module with the spray nozzle in the center of the palm, or the back of the forearm. An attachment intake at the elbow allows the sprayer to be fed from the backpack tanks, or hooked up to a fire hydrant or vehicle tank.
Range: 200 ft
Damage: None usually, but if used to throw water at vampires, does 1d4x10 H.P. per blast. Used against a human-sized being, it has a 50% chance of bowling them over from the water pressure(lose initiative and 1 APM while getting back up)
Payload: The two backpack tanks hold enough for 20 blasts each, or can be hooked up to a vehicle or municipal water supply

Options:
*0-C CryoLaser(‘Oh-Cee’)---Shoulder-mounted option. The CryoLaser is a derivation of a new technology (Bose-Einstein Condensate ---BEC technology) currently under development byPaladin Steel, based on recovered pre-Rifts files attributed to the eccentric Elliot Group, a secretive think-tank that was working with the US government during the Golden Age. The 0-C is a low-powered model, considerably scaled back from the first giant-scaled ‘atom laser’, intended not as a weapons system, but as a firefighting tool, for putting out chemical fires and exotic material combustion by literally stopping their molecular activity. The ‘Oh-Cee’ has two modes of operation; a narrow-focus ‘Beam Mode’ that stops molecular motion dead, and a shorter-ranged, wide-area ‘spray; typically used for freezing pools of liquids and cooling down hot objects. The current model is fairly bulky and energy-intensive, but is remarkably effective. It is currently considered EXPERIMENTAL, and only an elite few firefighting units have been issued it for testing, under the ‘Inferno Initiative’
(Some of the cold-attack stats courtesy of Aliens Unlimited, pg. 173)
Range:(Beam Mode)1,500 ft
(Spray Mode) 700 ft
Damage: (Beam Mode) This slows down molecular motion in a relatively tight area(1-2 ft wide area), lowering the temperature to almost absolute zero... fabrics like nylon and polyester shatter like glass, electromagnetic superconductivity jumps, and liquids crystallize instantly. Ideal for cold-welding materials, freezing mechanical joints, and snuffing out plasma torches. Does 1d4 MD to structures and 2d4 MD to MDC plastics and organics.
(Spray Mode) Lowers mean temperature by 500 degrees over a 20 ft wide area of effect---This means that it may take several applications to bring a burning pool of jet fuel down to freezing, for example, or cool an glowing hot section of plating. After reaching zero degrees Celsius, it only reduces temperature in increments of 250 degrees, then 100 degrees, then 50, and so on...
Unprotected flesh hit by the beam takes 6d6 SDC in Spray Mode. Must also roll save versus non-lethal poison(12 or better) or temporarily succumb to cold.
A victim who loses all SDC(but NOT Hit Points) to a cold attack lapses into a coma..still alive, but frozen stiff. They can be revived with even heat in 3d4 minutes. Those who lose both SDC and Hit Points are +25% to save versus coma/death, and get 3d4 Hit Points back when revived, but still suffer some cellular damage.
Beings vulnerable to cold-based attacks take DOUBLE damage, while fire elementals and fire-based beings take TRIPLE damage! Water Elementals will lose 2 APMs and cut their speed by HALF for 1d4 melees, while Ice Elementals actually HEAL 1d4 MD of damage.
Rate of Fire: ECHH
Payload: Conditionally Unlimited; the capacitor has enough power for 20 shots, and recharges at 1 shot every ten minutes. A special ‘freon battery’ can be clipped in, for an extra ten shots in an emergency.

*Thermo-Shelters---Developed from space programme ‘rescue balls’, these are sturdy sacks of insulated megadamage(5 MDC) fabric that have an airtight seal and their own self-contained oxygen system(good for about twenty minutes). Folded up, they take up a forearm or shoulder hardpoint. When encountering a smoke inhalation victim or other person in a dangerous fire situation, and if the victim attempting to move out under their own power would be too dangerous, the firefighter rolls them into the sack, zips it up, flushes the inside out of smoke with a quick blast of air, takes hold of the carrying handles, and carries the victim out of the danger zone.

Well, you're going to plenty to cheer about on that score once I finish the family of light vehicles based on the Ontos chassis :D

Nice Picture.
Here is a list of different models of Ontos. Some of the links last time check were dead, but the names go with some of the pictures from other sites. Waiting to see what the family will look like. Don't rush do a good job.

Am just starting to look at your new postings. Looks nice on first read.

You are right! I guess I was early. Nice new additions. I think the Federated States will be ordering some of this gear. And because of my mess up I think we'll be ordering significantly more. PLease keep them coming. Abtex, the last link didn't seem to work. The other ones worked fine!

Write up more generic ideas then...sometimes all it takes is a balanced framework...the fluff flows on its own...
But, yeah, it's most likely divided attention...I know that the more time I devote to writing, the less time I've spent on art...and that occasionally galls me that I can't find that right balance between creative endeavors...not just fantasy/sci-fi art, but even drawing landscapes, places that bring me pleasure and I'd really want to set to paper...or at least my impressions of them...

There's at least one place that I realize has so much potential to drive me mad with unrealized inspiration...
There's a little park bench nestled in a stand of scraggly old trees in Trinity Park in Oak Bluffs...the trees form almost a wall or veil around the bench...there's hardly any park lights, and there's the sea barely visible off to one side, and open field in front...I sat there one dark night...now, I would walk past this bench all teh time and not take notice of it, but one night...wow...looking up through the opening in front up into the dark night sky....stars shining through...
Completely. Blew. My. Mind.
UNless I devoted the next year to learning how to paint, to the exception of all else, I don't think I could do the thoughts I had in that moment full justice...
And bear in mind I was completely sober... :-D
But I gotta try... :D

If you put your mind to it you could paint as well as you draw. My Aunt is a sort of well known artist, and I'm sure she'd tell you to try it before you give up on it.
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

OK, it is a good site has lots different military stuff, like this one...

Like the PATA system, so tracked vehicles can become Extreme-Terrain Tracked Vehicles. or small ones can act like or look big that they really are, like blow fish or flinged lizard do . :D

I wrote this before you posted your BioTech and just after PS not doing any BioTech. Am too lazy to rewrite it, they are just ideas. From whom, how they got it, and what can be done with it.

So many things are possiblable and so few are done.

The plaque on the wall reads: "It's not always what is created. It how smart and safety it's used."

-) How many different DBee's and critters from somewhere else have provided by purpose, accident or GNE/PS Hunter/Killer Squads [ie ‘teaser’ Fire-Missions] 'BioTech' to Rifts?

-) (still to lazy to found DBee of NA and look) One of HA DBee races, hides from other is Eco Friendly and builds Robot Work/War machines. Do they have factories or use Biotech in their workshops? Is their BioTech GEM

-) (Genetically Engineered Microbes) based Chemical agents? Alchemistry [a term I came across]? Alchemy?

-) Juicers Chemical/BioTech. Anti-Juicer Temporary Counter measures.

-) BioTech could be a good way to delovope Equipment, Vehicles and even Weapons for PSI OCCs. Something that is missing in Palladium roster. Not using other living beings but living machines or creations (ie. Slicers). I think that PSI work best with Living things, they are not one of my strong points.

-) Can the stuff dumped for by the Rift's Storms be useful in non Magic mostly BioTech? Kids play with them, as adults build on what they learned. Toy and Play things yesterday, tools, weapons and vehicles today.

-) Could BioTech help make Happy (or useful) Haunting Entities. "Try PS new line of Haunted Vehicles and Yesterday Computers."

-) How many mutants has chemical waste and non-waste from the pre-Golden Age to current factiories created? Or clean up? [not sure what that means but it made sense when I wrote it down.]

-) Bacteria or Microbes based Control Systems and Memory system.

-) "Why is that period moving?" BioTech MircoInfoDot memory storage reviles message when it the right person when dropped on a Smart Pad/Paper and mess up the wrong one's gear. "Be sure to purchase extra DeCoding Smart Pads on page 666 of our catalog."

-) Have a Trail Ren store a message or map. Mark a Tree or Rock. Use the pen's Scent Tracker 1400 option to find it later. Have your Pen take a teaste to read the info. You can also destory or re-write as needed. Where did this BioTech come from a DBee childern's cereal.

-) Use Mock Stem Cells grown to free creatures and fairies from Atlantis Bio-devices and Bio-weapons. Then use them to create Mock BioWeapons and devices. [you did that already, but why it was done is a good reason to start with]

-) BioLights - rolled up use as a flashlight. Flat as a lamp that hangs on a wall. Tore off a strip to light up a tight place, then reattach/heals itself back to the sheet. Change the type of light to infrared or different type. Needs no batteries, just a little sunlight. When caving use ChemiFood and some cave moss to keep it 'fed'.

Dumb thoughts stop for now. I had them. Now you do.

Biotech hasn't yet been gone into by PS yet, beyond basic medical and bioremediation applications, owing to the large skill and equipment base needed for it, but as the size of PS grows, and its capabilities, it will consider expanding and diversifying its various divisions...
As such, OTAR(Office of Technology Acquisition and Recovery) is always on the lookout for promising new technologies, magic, and biotech, and stockpiles for later scrutiny/evaluation, what can't be immediately reverse-engineered or adapted, once it clears the 'but is it dangerous for us to have around?' stage....And the Paladin Steel Personnel Office is busy filtering, headhunting, and assigning talent where they can find it and where they feel such people can do the most good...even if it means starting up a new enterprise...

Have them check the groups living in the MIT forest. They seem to be broken down into small towns and groves. Do not just look around the surface of the area. The towns are just the tops of Golden Age buildings that were designed to survive mass attacks. What little you will see in the groves is nothing to what is in the roots below and branches above. There are trees that can talk, but are not DBees, just old computers and other machines inhabited by transfered Intellenge of different people and Haunting Entities put to use by the locals at one time or another. There is massive amount of Green Tech and guarded past knowledge, the teachers of the forest are always having classes or debates. Questioning outsiders is an art form of many levels. The sciences and disciplines are many, finding the right person or people to ask and answer your needs may be hard to find. Most likely they are right in front of you doing something that has nothing to do with what you seek.

The folk are simple and easy going. Their guardians are anything but, armed and armored or standing bare skin, they are the last thing some have ever seen alive.

I see it more as a bunch of techno hermits living in the basements and tunnels of the campus, worshipping the science they find, and breeding all sorts of nasty little things, as an homage to the god Deeneay...

Paladin Steel ‘Angelina’ Cyborg

“Are you Valkyries, come to take me to Valhalla?”
“Think again, pilot-boy. We’re a Free Vermonter SAR team, come to get you off this place and back to your buddies in New Germany. Now let’s get yah fixed up and out of here before the Minions come sniffing around this crash site.”

“I hear one more joke about if I’d like to help you join the ‘Mile High Club’, I’m going to unload a volley of Mini-Copperheads down your throat and out your arse!”
.....
“She still behind us?”
“Yeah, and she’s...oh DAMN! She just took out Suzuki! His flycycle just went down in smoke! Nope, I see a parachute! She’s not TOTALLY bloodthirsty! But now she’s focusing on us again!”
“I TOLD yah! ‘Don’t try out your pick up lines on that girl! She’s a Fury in cyberflesh!’ But didja listen to the voice of experience?! NNNOOOOOO!!!”

“I know one customer who went with total sculpted chrome on her wings...fully articulated hawk wings with metal feathers...cost her three times as much to get the work done...another half-mil to get the whole ensemble chromed to the max...takes three hours s day practically to wax and polish the rig to mirror perfection...then she added a multiplexor mageprojector ectowired to her nervous system...another hundred grand there easily...with a full hand spell card selection, including a hardwired Targeted Reflection spell....Word has it, anybody lazes her, she spreads her wings and makes it look like she uses all that mirror-chrome to blast the shot right back at the gunner...She’s already burned three mooks that way, and her reputation is pure legend in the making.”

“It’s total freedom...flying with the wind gliding over your skin like cool silk...okay, so it’s a full tactile sensor net and it’s not skin...but it’s like being nude between heaven and earth, without a care in the world, free of the constraints of gravity...Darin? You okay, you shellhead? You’re looking a little eye-glazed there for a moment....”

The Angelina frame seems inspired by a curious pre-Rifts artistic fetish---aircraft musamune----girls or women depicted with aircraft-like features. The PS-Angel seems aimed at women, and promotes aesthetics as much as it does capabilities. The face and torso are sculpted for maximum realistic looks, but are typically maximized and idealized for good looks. The torso is typically made to look as human as possible, with the appearance of a slender jump/flight suited body, or, with the use of soft-composite plastics and flesh-toned materials, a swimsuit or leotard-clad beauty. Overall, the Angelina looks like an attractive humanoid female with robotic arms and legs(although they may also appear to be merely tech-bracers and boots) and large folding metal wings on the back. The degree of aesthetic customization between individuals varies immensely, however. Some cyborgs opt for the ‘sexy robot’ look with only a flesh-face and streamlined bald head, while others go out for the ‘big hair’ look with synthetic hair. Mounting additional head sensors in a third eye in the forehead, on a techno ‘hairband’ that can slip over the eyes, or on ear ‘antennae’ mounts is also popular.
However, the ‘Angelina’ is NOT mere eye-candy. The Angels use a greater porportion of newer, lighter, tougher, magadamage materials such as space-formed alloys and nanoweaved composites than many other PS-line cyborgs. Its lighter frame translates into far greater agility. The Angelina combines the best aspects of Light Machine frames and Cyberhumanoids...maxed out armor and maxed out agility. Boosted reflexes mean the Angelinas move like lightning and hit like megadamage falcons.
Jet nodes in the back, wings, and legs propel the Angelina in flight, Additional control jets and fins at the calves, shoulders, hips, and arms add to the superb control characteristics in flight of the frame.
Like so many other PS products, the Angelina is modular in many of its components. Applique armor is available, the forearm bracers can be swapped out for different systems, the wings can be detached completely for ease in moving about in confined places, and a hardpoint on the back between the wings can be rigged for additional sensor, weapons, or booster packs.
Fast, agile, lightweight, and beautiful, the Angelina is also quite expensive, due to its advanced materials, sculpted features, and sophisticated systems, but that hasn’t stopped requests for, and sales of, the cyborg frame. The Angelina in GNE service is typically seen as a recon scout, raider, aerial commando, and SAR specialist. Rear echelons frequently use the Angel as a police patroller(where its sculpted and less threatening appearance is good public relations when dealing with civilians).
A male version is also supposedly in the works. PS is also reportedly working on a version with modular arms and legs, that would allow the cyborg to slip off the obvious bionic limbs and exchange them for more normal-looking limbs when in social situations, though it’s also been suggested that the system could be used to mount special purpose limbs like talon-equipped ‘hawk legs’.

Type:PS--FC- LAOC12 Angelina
Class: Full Conversion Borg - Light, Aerial Operations
Crew: One volunteer
M.D.C. By Location:
Wings(2) 95 each
Hands(2) 25 each
Arms(2) 75 each
Legs(2) 95 each
Feet (& Foot Pads)(2) 30 each .
*Head 90.
**Main Body 200 .
*Destroying the head of a Cyborg will kill the character!
However, the head is a small and difficult target to hit. The attacker
must make a called shot and even then he is -3 to strike. The hands, and
forearms are also difficult targets to hit and are -4 to strike on a
called shot.
**Depleting the M.D.C. of the main body will effectively
destroy the artificial body, but emergency systems will keep the brain and
vital organs alive for 36 hours. Recovery of the severely damaged body
will enable doctors to place the character on life support systems that
will keep him alive until a new bionic body (same style or other) is
available, for full conversion. Failure to find the damaged Borg within 36
hours means the character dies.

Note: The Angelina CAN be fitted with additional armor, but is limited to LIGHT Cyborg Armor

Speed:
Running: 100 mph max . However the act of running does
not tire the operator out and the maximum speed can be maintained
indefinitely.
Jumping: The powerful robotic legs are strong and capable
of leaping 10 feet high or 18 ft lengthwise. A running leap adds 50% to
distance/height.
Flying: The Angelina, thanks to its integral jet pack, can hover and can reach speeds of up to 250 MPH, maximum altitude of 2000 ft. It can sustain speed for up to three hours, before needing to shut down and allow the jets to cool down for an hour
Underwater: The Angelina CANNOT swim, but sinks like a rock. Using its thrusters for underwater propulsion, it CAN move at about 40 MPH

Statistical Data:
Average Height: 6-7 feet ,
Width: 2 feet at shoulders. Wingspan is 12 ft
Length: 2 feet ,
Weight: 360 lbs. 240 lbs w/ wings removed
Power System: Nuclear
Physical Attributes: Equal to Robotic PS. 30, PP. 24,.
Bonuses: Standard cyborg bonuses of +3 save vs magic, impervious to
bio-manipulation
+4 initiative
+5 strike/parry
+6 dodge, +8 to Dodge in Flight
+3 Pull Punch
Penalties: Touch/tactile sense is 75% of human norm.
Prowl penalty: -20%, -10% with wings removed

Special Skills/Training---Use standard 'Borg or Headhunter OCC, plus Pilot Jetpack at +15%.
Black Market Cost: 7 million credits with all standard features, weapons,
and sensors.

*Missile Pack ---Holds 36 micro-missiles, OR 16 mini-missiles, OR 4 short range missiles OR 3 medium range missiles(the PS Skyflash is a favorite)

*Sensor Pod---Can be fitted to accomodate up to three different sensor systems, but most sensor pods will have a wide angle still or digital camera, IR/Thermograph optics, and a laser rangefinder. Other sensor types include Kirillian aura-imagers, radiation detectors, magnetometers, EM detectors, and other specialized sensor types.

*RPV Drone Rack---This is simply a rack for carrying various ARPV systems; it can typically hold a dozen hand-sized mini-RPVs like the Paladin Steel ‘Gnat’, six larger mdel airplane-sized drones(and provide electrical recharging for them), or a single larger long range RPV. Each drone system comes with the software and communications upgrades to allow the cyborg to launch, control, and receive telemetry for the drones. Cyborgs taking this option also typically buy upgraded radio communications as part of their discretionary augmentation.
Cost: 7,000 credits, drones cost extra.

*ECM Pod-----A mini-radio jammer, that can pump out enough multi-wavelength white noise to jam civilian band communications with 90% effectiveness, and military comms with 70% effectiveness, over a 5 mile radius.
Cost: 80,000 credits

*Radar Jammer Pod---1.5 mile range. Jams radars and radar targetting systems with 60% effectiveness. Radar-guided weapons are -4 to strike. Note that this affects friendly systems as well unless they are set to specific, per-arranged, non-jammed frequencies(that it may be possible for the enemy to discover). Carrying extra jammer pods does NOT increase the range or effective bonuses of the system, but may provide redundancy and multi-wavelength coverage.
Cost: 40,000 credits

*Forcefield Pod--An advanced experimental system that supplies 100 MDC, and regenerates at 10 MDC per hour.
Cost: 120,000 credits

Hand to Hand Combat
Restrained Punch 4d6 SDC
Full Strength Punch 1d4 MD
Power Punch( 2 attacks) 1d6 MD
Kick 1d4 MD
Leap Kick(2 Attacks) 1d6 MD
Judo-Style Throw/Flip 1d4 MD
Body Block/Ram: (2 attacks) 1d4 MD

Options:
The Angelina can be fitted with any of the standard cybernetic and bionic features in the Rifts books. Favorite options include fitting the 'borg with cyber-finger accessories(finger blades are particularly popuar among those favoring the whole ‘winged Fury’ look), TW cyborg Multi-Plexor torso implants, enhanced sensors, and additional aesthetic customzation.

*Laser-Reflective Armor---It’s expensive, but some Angels go the extra half-million to get some if not all of themselves chromed in laser-reflective armor(REFLECTIVE apparently being more popular than ABLATIVE due to its aesthetics).
Cost: 500,000 credits

*Air-Soul Aerodynamic Sensor System----This system consists of rigging the body frame with multiple micro-sensors working through micro-laser-drilled ‘pores’ in the body armor(this sort of precision work is best done in PS’s microgravity factory-plexes) and nanite-laid channels to give the cyborg the ability to better sense air currents and pressure changes. Taalismn, what missing from or does the bold text above mean? I am at a lose about it.

I see it more as a bunch of techno hermits living in the basements and tunnels of the campus, worshipping the science they find, and breeding all sorts of nasty little things, as an homage to the god Deeneay...

It was SUPPOSED to say 'gotta give me MORE about this', but the horrid degeneration of ' keyboard penmanship' due to speed-typing crept in...Even I am not immune..

In the GEM article I saw MIT was one of the school does research on the subject. It in New England/GNE area. PS was not doing research on the subject. I had posted the MIT Forest once or twice and you did not see it. So had a little brain fart and write it up.

Cannon says that tens or hundreds in land was sweep clean or buired by the waves that hit the coast lines. Mad Haven has the write up of the 37 years of Terrorist [T37] attacks on the world and USA. It has always made cents to me before Mad Haven came out. That some places survived underground and others above ground, there a number of pictures showing locations (well maybes). The front part of AZ book has a picture of three talls mesas with a larger one in the background. I see 3 fire baked buildings, covered roadway beside them leading to a buried city. Spirt West [I think] has a "trading post" surrounded by tepees or the top of a building, maybe factory with the locals work for goods.

If a school or other location could not increase it's size outward do to local problems, then upward and downward would be the most likely options. If the lesser buildings on the surface were destoryed, newer or refitted to MDC buildings and basements and deeper ones, read bunkers build after or during the T37 would likely survive or be salvagable.

The number of schools that I see ads for are always talking about On Line courses. As well as student web sites, research pages, and so no might be buired but recoverable. Look at the current cell phones and what can and will have in them in the near future, add 90 years to that. Temp memory alone would tomes of knowledge, the main who knows what. Books, web sites, magazines, movies, recorded classes, books and notes, etc. Internet servers and memory blocks would have masses more. Virtual teachers. Libraries. Book Stores. Museums. Those are the everyday ones with a change of being found, what would Harden locations that doing corporations, personal and maybe even goverment or military research be.

If labs doing work, personal projects, works in progress, home work, etc. found their way to the open world be they the orginal work or some how changed by the Rifts, DBee knowledge or just opp-ed. They might be fould in the MIT Forest or other places, then add the need to survive factor. The simple has been expanded and then again with new challenges, a 21 Sin toy maybe the start of something far beyond it design.

My brain hurts. bye for now.

TW treated cracked crystal quartz and quartzite in expendable TW munitions
and Shotguns

but I don't how it ended, :?

Well, you wind up with a combiweapon that can do some snazzy things with one triggerpull...with the right spells augmenting the shells/TW munitions, you could get extra range or hypervelocity for instance(armor piercing woodshards?!) or effect combos(cloud of blinding smoke +swarm of fireballs?! What are the odds of you dodging THAT?!)

Would you have to if you had the right spells 'loaded' in the buckler or like equipped with a Multiplexor spellcard-system or other PS tech-outed/DBee customed model?

I will have to see if i can remember any more parts of the shotguns in the dream or wihen awake.

Phobocyd
“I don’t consider myself a species-bigot by any stretch, but I just can’t help myself when it comes to spiders....I’ll go through a wall if I encounter one of them...Bless those little phobocyd pills, though; if it weren’t for them, I could hardly get through the day working with my Spinne partner...and that would be a pity, because G’stav’s a really nice guy and a great co-worker once you get to know him, which I’d never have done if I was running as fast as I could from him.”

Phobocyd is a powerful anti-anxiety medicaton used to treat phobic disorders. It is a pre-Rifts ‘miracle drug’ with proven few side effects, long duration, and effectiveness, but is slow-acting, making it unsuitable for treating sudden-onset panic attacks.
What makes it much-sought after is that it affects the altered nueral chemistry of M.O.M. Crazies as well, allowing them to temporarily deal with the debilitating effects of phobic insanities. However, long term usage of Phobocyd carries the risk of the Crazies’ off-kilter brain chemistry becoming acclimated to the drug, causing it to lose its effectiveness.
Phobocyd is mentioned here as it is among the medications produced in the GNE(and distributed/available through Paladin Steel retailers).

Form: Time release orally-administered capsule
Duration: 1d4+3 hours. Must be taken 15-20 minutes before a phobic scenario.
Effects: In normal humans(and beings most like humans) it induces a +8 to save versus phobic insanity/Horror Factor associated with phobias. Does NOT affect supernatural H.F.
Crazies get a +6 to save versus phobic insanity/Horror Factor associated with phobias, including Supernatural H.F., and fear-based psionic attacks.
Side Effects: NO side effects for normal humans, aside from a tendency to become slightly numb to their fears, and even a little reckless around their traditional phobic triggers.
For Crazies, the drug carries the risk of drug-tolerance; after 5 dosages, the Crazy must roll versus non-lethal toxin(14 or better)...On an unsuccessful save, the Crazy has NOT become acclimated to the drug, and may continue use it(rolling again only after 100 dosages). On a SUCCESSFUL first roll, the Crazy is showing immediate acclimation to the drug; reduce bonuses and duration by HALF. Roll again after 10 dosages. On an unsuccessful roll, the Crazy can still benefit from the drug(albeit at the +3 half potency), rolling again after every 5 dosages until they become resistant to the drug. A successful roll means the Crazy has become completely resistant to the drug, and it no longer has any effect on them.
Cost: 40-50 credits per dose outside the GNE, 5-10 credits a dose at Greater New England drugstores(sometimes provided as part of health care for PS employees)

Nice. Does it's come in counter form to cause panic attacks and can it loaded into weapon loads?

making noises about MIT Forest again
====================================

In a dream, I remember going to the Mystical MIT Forest and asking about the drugs of the Golden Age.

The locals would smile and ask the trees, "They know much more than we do." When I asked "What do you mean?" They pointed to a grove of old trees a little ways down the road. As I walked away, I heard "Beware of their bark, because only if you listen it will enlighten you."

At the grove, I said "Ok. What can I learn here?"

To my surprise, several faces appeared in place of bark on the trees. "What do you seek?" was ask them in many voices. Once again I ask about Golden Age medicines. The faces turned and looked at one tree that's Face seemed to brighten and with a smile it began to speak.

In a bad Old Colonial Indian voice the Tree began, "The drugs of the past Golden Age, did many great and wonderful things, but they did it not because of the pill. But because the healthy tiny ones, the nanites of the body of the user, help make them so. Today we see many problems and great blessing with taking the past. Those called Juicers and Crazies are but some who used the marvel medicines and devices. Some because martyrs to their use, on the lucky there no effect, but those who's bodies still hold the smallest things of the past they may do great things. But many today must take a changed pill or be changed their selves to use them wisely. For their Reality must be changed to meet ours. Weather it be a different set of Chemicals or GEM of DNA or marked with a SYMBOL of today's new talents or the present self has been updated to the Great past by the smallest thing or their today's mirror.. Be wise in using something that is Golden for it may make a fool of you or those that are loved or who love you. Wonders are only wonderful if fully understand."

Then the Face smiled and changed back into bark as the others had. As I turned to leave, there were number of forest folk standing there. Some using digital tables taking notes and others just writing on old paper ones like they were in a classroom. From one I was handed a small bundle wrapped in paper. Later I opened it to find different colored pills and tablets and some packets of powder, but their wrapping was a sheet of digital paper. In it's files were many warnings, instructions on the uses of the tablets, sensor settings, different mixtures of ingredients and even some magical symbols.

The Opening and Closing line of text on the sheet reads,
"Be it Right or Wrong, The Foolish and Wise will take it their own way. Anyone else Good Luck."
