In one the dying throws of a mad interstellar warlord at the hands of what would be a super-dimensional attack would weaken the walls of reality, the enlightenment of a race who fed on those energies would unwittingly reach out and tug on those walls, beginning the tearing. The Quantum Burst that brought peace between the ELS and humans had far more reaching consequences than could be imagined. Finally the results of an orbital warp blast maneuver that brought one ship between universes at the same time that one boy faced instrumentality rewrote destiny itself.

Through it all Tabris smiled and reached out and caught the spinning clock before him. Tabris looked down at the now joining worlds, and the world that would be the bridge to many others. Tabris chuckled, “It seems it is time for the hands of time to reset and a new scenario to unfold.”

Dana Jenius Sterling fumed; Sylvie Gena and Graham Aker suppressed a laugh. Dana felt like she had drawn the short straw and was now stuck at the last place she wanted to be: an air show. Sylvie, a year younger than Dana, was the first half-Meltrandi not of the Sterling line and had actually formed a bond with the black sheep of the Sterling family. Sylvie tugged on Dana, “Come on, it’s not that bad. At least you aren’t flying in one of these.”

Graham shook his head, “How does the daughter of two flying aces get pteromerhanophobia, anyway?”

Dana huffed, “Take a joy ride to a factory satellite when you are a toddler.”

Graham raised an eyebrow, “You remember that?”

Dana collapsed back, “Not really, I just know I freak out every time I go near anything that goes more than a few feet off the ground. Seriously, you couldn’t take my twin, Komillia, or Miracle, or Muse?”

Sylvie shook her head, “Nope, your parents insisted. Besides you might get to see some of the new ground-type Mobile Suits.”

Graham smiled, “Yeah, join the Union, I’ll see to it that you end up with a Realdo Hovertank. Doesn’t go very high and might help with your fear of flight.”

Dana half smiled, “Sounds like an idea.”

The announcer came on the loud speaker as the trio found their seats, “We begin today’s festivities with a demonstration of the AEU’s latest MS, the Enact. It is piloted by Patrick Colasour, who has never lost in any of the mock trials.”

Graham snorted, “It’s just a rip-off of the Union’s Flag MS.”

Sylvie rolled her eyes, “Now, now, no need to start a fight here.”

The Enact began its demonstrations with a transformation and firing on some drone Hellions when a mysterious blue MS slips past the flight of Logans providing security. The mysterious suit cuts the Enact to pieces quickly and efficiently and Graham brings some binoculars to his face quickly and utters one word, “Gundam…”

Dana was wide eyed and rushed to get a better view of the action. However, a stray bit of the Enact slams into the viewing area and Dana falls over. Fortunately, the Gundam saw her falling and caught her. Unfortunately, a hail of fire forced the Gundam to put little Dana into his cockpit and fly off before he can put her down safely.

Graham stood there and gritted his teeth, “How am I going to explain this to the Sterlings?”

Sylvie just slumped over, “Komillia is going to kill me.”

Suddenly a Green fighter that looks a lot like a VF/A-6I or possibly VF/A-6X appears and goes in pursuit of the Blue MS, and begins firing various weapons, at it. The first attack is a burst of cannon rounds which cut into one of the legs and shears it off at the knee. The next attack appears to be a salvo of missiles, a series of hatches on the right lower fuselage pop open briefly and 6 missiles take off after the blue mecha they maneuver in tandem and spread out before attacking each one maneuvers somewhat to the outside of the direct line of travel 1 going up 1 down, 1 left 1 right, and the last 2 head up the middle spiraling around each other on the way to the blue MS. when these missiles strike they proceed to take chunks out of the ms which proceeds to slow down and then crash and tumble along the ground. The Green fighter proceeds to fly down, and transform slowly (taking a full 20 seconds to go from fighter to battleoid), and then lands near the crashed MS.

A handful of problems with this, though I do appreciate the desire to jump in and contribute to the story and don't really want to dissuade it.

1. This portion of the story is largely based on the first episode of Gundam 00, which means Dynames would be there and your Alpha would have likely gotten sniped before it even knew it was there. GN Particles do mess up the majority of sensors, so the odds that the Alpha spotted Dynames before being fired upon and having to deal with two Gundams successfully are marginal even under scenarios that are most favorable to the Alpha.

2. Unless the GN Drive is hit (which would cause a big explosion), Exia isn't going to stop flying because portions of it's body were destroyed.

3. Robotech mecha really aren't all that impressive, and while Exia is probably the most vulnerable to an Alpha, it would not go down to the Alpha that easily, and barring a high-end ace like Max is behind the control stick, Exia at minimum would be able to get away.

4. Given that this is intended to happen in 2025, it is actually unlikely that there would even BE Alphas on the world. Logans and VF-1's are a more logical choice for Robotech mecha.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I am trying to at least come at this with a certain level of logic rather than basic fan-isms. So I'm trying not to have things just dominate each other. So again, while I would make a fight between a Gundam and Alpha interesting, one side domination in favor of the Alpha is almost never going to happen because a genuine objective looks says it won't. For instance E-Carbon and GN Composite armor (the latter of which is specifically designed to be beam resistant) would probably take more than a single burst from a 35mm energy cannon to have it's knee sheared off when it's designed to resist 60mm rounds from a rail gun. Of course, given the Gundam involved, a one-sided domination on the part of the Exia would be hard to believe as well.

So some basic world set up so I don't have to create stories here to explain everything with stupid "you already know this" exposition.

The year is 2025 at present. The Masters are a non-issue and Dana is just now getting to the point where joining the military is even a thought on anyone's mind (13 or 14 years old, and assuming that at minimum military officer training still takes about 4 years). A few universes have collided together, and the all important Evangelion universe is not amongst the midst but will be part of the story in the near future. Max and Miriya have been popping out kids like they did in Macross with the three alternatives she mentioned (Komillia, Miracle and Muse) being her sisters. Maia and Aurora will appear eventually, but... Sylvie Gena is a half-Meltran in this story, unlike in Macross II where she is a quarter Meltran.

Politically things are very different from how they are in Robotech. The United Earth Government is weak and very underfunded. Most of the UEG's funding goes to the Spacy and Expeditionary Forces (the UEEF taking with it a lot of smaller Robotech mecha for the sake of space constraints, and the Expeditionary Forces are primarily colonial forces). The ground-based ASC is underfunded (with its replacement equipment), TASC and Cosmic Unit don't exist at all. Much of the UEG's weakness comes from the fact that even with the reality of aliens that basically fried most of the Earth, humans still can't get along with each other and three major super powers exist that contribute to the UEG primarily for the sake of shared space defense from continued Zentraedi attacks (most of which simply convert after a Minmay Attack). Those powers are the Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations, Human Reform League and Advanced European Union. Each of those nations have private militaries that make the ASC a joke, and easily rival the Spacy or Expeditionary Forces in terms of warpower, and of the three branches of the UEG's military, only the ASC has the time to be bothered to try and play global police. Hence why Graham is actually trying to get Dana to join the Union than any of the United Earth Forces.

In terms of technology, Protoculture is considered a scarce resource, while solar energy is abundant and just as useful. Hence why only the Expeditionary forces use Protoculture, they will spend sufficient time away from a star and Protoculture is a lot more compact than a typical fusion reactor. Mobile Suits developed out of the same Robotechnology that created the VF-1 and Destroids, and ostensibly still designed to fight Zentraedi in urban environments or other tight quarters where massive sprays of missiles would result in unnecessary and unacceptable colateral damage. Alphas were created to save on space for the short-range colonization efforts, and many of the long range colony efforts instead use Macross-style VFs because of the increased combat ability. To date only the relatively poor nations keep Alphas around because they are cheap. The ASC equipment is pretty much just what the ASC could afford in sufficient number and had to make a lot of performance compromises to get them that cheap.
