Worse yet, in ND, Lillith, the Angel under Terminal Dogma, is all about LIFE, which means getting a certain distance near her results in increasing feelings of randiness.

All in all, though, Nobody Dies is a really fun read. Sadly, though, of late it's been neglected for Greg's equally preposterous NGE/Mass Effect crossover, which is slightly less interesting if one isn't into the Mass Effect universe, but has its moments(such as the revelation that of Shinji's two parents, Gendo was the SANE one). There's also amusing father-son bonding, and Gendo's advice to Kensuke Aida(who is dating Rei in the fic).

Actually, the Nobody Dies cast did go cross-dimensionally junketing once(they got 'lost' during an Angel Battle). Among other things they punched out Cthulu, crashed a Justice League Halloween party at Wayne Manor(ironically it was Evangelion-themed), and toured Babylon 5(the Shadows found Rei 'wonderfully chaotic'). In return they've been visited by a displaced team from the Ranma/OMG/SG-1 xover universe Divine Blood and discovered that there are far WORSE possible parents than the adults in NGE(specifically, Kuno Kodachi, who created multiple clones of herself solely for the purpose of providing her with an army of disposable minions, spare bodies she could transfer to at will, Agent Smith-style, and lifeforce reservoirs that she could consume, soul, memories, and skills all).

Lieutenant Dana Sterling looked out over the landscape and watched Monument City burn under the onslaught of the latest Robotech Master assault. All around her, soldiers on both sides were dying, on the earth, in the skies, amongst the stars above.
“So much death and destruction...”
There was a small rustling beside her feet as something small and furry came up beside her.
Dana sighed. Trust good ol’ Polly to show up when times were bad, just to cheer her up.
“All this tragedy all this destruction, you can change it if you want. The power to do so lies within you.”
Dana’s eyes went wide as she spun to stare down at the source of the unexpected voice. The pink eyes staring out of a white-furred face framed by two sets of ears were definitely NOT Polly’s.
“I can?! It does?!”
“Absolutely. You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine. Just make a contract with me. And become a Magical Girl.”
Dana couldn’t shake the sudden chill that ran up her spine at those words.

Attack On Titan...it's the new hot thing in mangaland. Basically fantasy Earth afflicted with giant roaming zombies that eat people. The only ways to kill them are a) overwhelming firepower, which the locals do NOT have, or b) deploy highly-skilled acrobatic swordsmen/women to stab the monsters in specific areas where the Titans are vulnerable.

Yeah, if crushing under durachrome treads doesn't do it, dissection with infinite repeaters oughta do it. If that fails, well, there's always hellbores.

Cross Ange.
It's a Female Mecha Pilot anime with scanty-uniform fanservice, but a real twisted dark storyline. Essentially a utopian Earth where everybody knows how to manipulate 'mana'(PPE?) to power society...Everybody except the Normas, who are muggles/mundanes, and are treated lower than burakumin in society. The title character was a princess/heir-apparent to a kingdom, until it's discovered on her ascension day that her mother and father were hiding the fact that she's a norma. Cue one sinister coup orchestrated by her conniving brother and venomous little sister, an imprisoned(later executed) father, and a mother who fatally takes a bullet for the princess, and she ends up being stripped(literally) of everything, and shipped to an offshore island gulag where other female normas are pressganged into duty as mecha pilots fighting giant, possibly alien, bio-mechanoids that are threatening the paradise. The main character, who starts out as a bigoted pampered brat(think Tom Cruise's arrogant character in Edge of Tomorrow) has to deal with being low girl on the totem, hammered repeatedly that there is no hope in their society, held directly responsible for the deaths of several comrades, betrayed, manipulated, and abused repeatedly(including by her teammates), while fighting to stay alive, and it's NOT a nice world(one teammate who's been wiped from public existence discovers her mother had another daughter to erase the traumatic shame of bearing a norma, and that the little brat has learned already to parrot the social line that normas are lower than dirt).

It's kinda like if the Coalition States were magic and made mundanes the whipping boys and sewer hogs of society.

It's not entirely clear if the normas are negapsychics or just regular mundanes who can't turn on a mana light switch. Admittedly, Ange DOES shatter chains meant to keep a 'mana' imprisoned, but that could be just plain good combat skillz, otherwise she'd be disrupting mana systems left and right(and the normas would twig to using that as a retribution tactic).

It's the higher ups that most likely know better but keep the things as they are. And also, aren't normas just like a negapsychics? They cancel out all their magic. And, yes, please to a fallow up on this!

I think they can only disrupt the mana they can manifest. Which we see from a norma baby in the first episode. We also see normas riding in crafts that only the "regular" humans can operate. So I think it is quite clear how it works. If a mana human uses puts up a barrier or throws an attack at a norma, it doesn't work. The norma just cancels it out as soon as it touches them. But for the machines, they are most likely fueled by the mana user. They are the gas that runs it. Or they might be the "key", to start the magic engine. Either way, a norma seems to be able to touch someone who can drive it and it not affect it. So it looks like as long as they can't touch the mana flow/interrupt it, a vehicle will work with them around, along with other such devices that are built that way.

Nice summery of it so far. Though it now looks like she is going to try and burn it all down now.

The white-cloaked Cold Weather Offense Squad members stared at the distant white-haired woman, dancing and completely oblivious to her audience.
"What the hell do you suppose that is?"
"Sounds like some sort of musical silliness. Not our problem."
"But she mig-Woah! Did she just create a freaking CASTLE out of thin air?!"
"DEFINITELY not our problem. Let's just move along and leave the crazy dancing singing castle-making lady alone. I wanna finish this patrol and get back to base in time for my soaps..."

Meanwhile an E.B.S.I.S. patrol in Siberia encounters Patrick Stewart dancing in his long johns.

"Make it so, make it so-"

EBSIS Officer: "Men we will now be with the running away and reporting that Ice Guard are using the psychological warfare on us!!!"

I thought that was the one, but they way you said it made me think there was another one. And that was a good 2 parter.
