Dinosaur (Ancient Reptile): Nyasasaurus
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Nyasasaurus is an extinct species of Dinosaur from the Middle Triassic (247.2 to 235 Million years ago) period in what is now modern-day Tanzania on the East coast of Africa. It is thought that it may be the earliest known Dinosaur and was first (1st) discribed in 1956 by the English Paleontologist Alan J. Charig., that is, it wasn't FORMALLY discribed until 2013. The Nyasasaurus predates other early Dinosaurs (such as thos from Argentina at 231.4 Million years ago) by 16 Million years. The Nyasasaurus is based on incomplete skeletal remains, making it difficult to classify, although it's basically been placed in the same family as Crocodiles and birds.
With the advent of Gene-Tech and the invention of the E.G.G.'s, both of which were allowed to be purchased by the general public (with some minor modifications to prevent anything seriously going wrong), many of which were purchased by scientists for various scientific studies. One (1) group of scientists who worked for a corporation that was owned by a Prince from Saudi Arabia. This Prince was looking to expand into the tourism trade. As such, he decided that he would build a zoo of extinct animals, one (1) of which was the Nyasasaurus. As time went on, and as the Nyasasaurus members that were recreated grew, it was revealed that the bigger they were (and the closer to adult-hood they got) the more vicious and "hungry" they became.
But then the Crash happened, spreading chaos the world over, killing off the Human race and mutating animals across the globe. As the world was in chaos, this allowed various animals that were in captivity to escape into the wilds of the world. This included the Nyasasaurus, which the Prince had done his best to keep the vicious animals in a high security enclusure deep in a secluded portion of the Arabian desert. The escaped Nyasasaurus managed to find a decent number of oasis, forming small herds.
After a time, as the dust settled and various newly sentient and intelligent mutant animals formed small colonies, the Nyasasaurus became Nomads that traveled from one (1) watering hole to another, attacking others along the way.

Dinosaur (Ankylosaurid): Minmi
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Minmi is an extinct species of small Anklosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous Period (from 119 to 113 Million years ago). It lived in what would eventually become Australia and roamed through light forested and plains areas. Only two (2) well preserved specimens have been described, which included a mistly complete skeleton, along with additional bone fragments. It was named Minmi after the area the fossils were found, Minmi Crossing Australia.
With the advent of Gene-Tech and the invention of the E.G.G.'s, both of which were allowed to be purchased by the general public (with some slight alterations to both the technology and the programming, many scientists scrambled to get them. As time went on, some scientists decided to clone/recreate various extinct creatures, including Dinosaurs. One (1) such Dinosaur that was cloned/recreated was the Minmi by scientists in Australia. The reason that the scientists wanted to do this was in hopes of studying the Anklosaur lineage. After a time, it was found that the Minmi could be used as a type of Lizard Work Horse, working well and not really fearing other Herbivores.
When the Crash happened, spreading chaos worldwide and allowing those being held in captivity, all the while mutating both them and those still in the wilds. Eventually, as things calmed down and the various gained enough Intelligence and more Humanoid forms, the Minmi formed farming communities. This allowed them to trade their goods to others.
Size Level: 12.
Length/Height: 6.6 Feet (2 Metres) long and 3.3 Feet (1 Metre) tall.
Weight: Up to 1,000 Lbs.
Build: Short.

Biped: 10 Bio-E for Partial. 15 Bio-E for Full.
Speech: 5 Bio-E for Partial. 10 Bio-E for Full.
Looks: None: Has a small, triangular head with eyes set on oppisie sides of a broad snout. The mouth is a wide, flat beak with small, leaf-shaped cheek teeth. The neck is extremely short and connects to a round, broad torso with a huge gut. The body is covered with dorsal bone plates and bone spikes that are arranged in pairs. The forelimbs are nearly 3/4's the length of the hind limbs and end in hands with five (5) digits. The tail is as long as the body and ends in a blunt point. The skin texture has a tough, leathery feel and is covered with pebbly bone plates.
10 Bio-E for Partial: The face is short and triangular with widely spaced eyes and hugs nostrils. The mouth is large and wide. The neck is short, while the torso is round and chunky. The legs are short and stocky, and the arms are shorter and extremely muscled.. The hands have five (5) digits each. Has a short, thick tail that are as long as the arms. Skin texture is leathery with very small, bony plates.

Each Horn does 2D6 damage to the attacker. The Horns can also be used in Hand-to-Hand combat with a Body Block that does 2D6 damage. They have an A.R. of 14 and S.D.C equal to the Size Level of the character.
The Horns are arranged in pairs, with one (1) pair on the back of the head, one (1) pair on the lower portion of the head in the back, and multiple pairs ranging from the back hips and down the tail.

Dinosaur (Ceratopsian): Einiosaurus
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Einiosaurus is an extinct species of Ceratopsian, is related to the Centrosaur and looked a little like the Triceratops. It lived during the Upper (Late) Cretaceous period (from 83.6 to 72.1 Million years ago) and roamed the forests and plains of what would eventually become the State of Montana on the North American Continant. It's name means "Buffalo Lizad". It is thought that they travelled in herds and moved around in a similar method to today's Bison or Wildebeest. They were discovered by the Paleontologist Jack Horner in 1985 and were excavated fr4om 1985 to 1989.
With the advent of Gene-Tech and the invention of the E.G.G.'s, both of which were allowed to be purchased by the general public, many scientists jumped at the chance of using this to advance various physical scientific fields. One (1) such field of study that the E.G.G.'s were being used in was Paleontology, in hopes that people could see what various prehistoric animals looked like and to study how they acted. As such, various large Zoo's, Safari's, and wildlife preserves were created for these purposes. As time moved on, and the various genetic studies were done, it was found that the Einiosaurus had a personality that was a cross between a Wildebeest and a Rhinoceros. This meant that it was both extremely protective of it's herdmates and very territorial against possible intruders and attackers.
But, when the Crash happened, which sent the world spiralling into chaos, the vast numbers of Einiosaurus escaped into the wilds of the plains. Once there, they gathered into large herds, which roamed the vast areas, all the while they were mutating. After a length of time, some of the smaller herds migrated closer to civilization, which in turn allowed them to come into contact with the more peacefull mutant animal groups.

Re: Rathorc's New Mutants
Dinosaur (Ceratopsian): Kosmoceratops
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Kosmoceratops is a species of extince Ceratopsian (related to the more famous Triceratops) that lived during the Late Cretaceous Period (from 75 to 65 Million years ago). They roamed the woodlands of what would eventually become modern day North America. It's most well features were its ornate skull with numerous horns and downward-curving Frill. The massive head of the Kosmoceratops was decorated with no less then 15 Horns and Horn-like structures of various sizes, including a pair of large Horns above the eyes that vaguely resembled those of a Bull and it was a wonder that it didn't topple forwards when it walked. The strange appearance of the Kosmoceratops can at least be partially explained by it's unique habitat, which consisted of living on a large island that was in Western North America, bordering on the shallow Western Interior Sea.
With the advent of Gene-Tech and the invention of the E.G.G.'s, both of which wereallowed to be purchased by the general public (with some minor alterations for safety), many scientists and companies purchased them in hopes of advancing the scientific fields of Biology. Some scientists that studied creatures from the ancient past quicky went to work on bringing them back in order to better study them, instead of just studying their bones and other remains. One (1) such group of Paleontologists (who mainly studied the Ceratopsian family) decided that they would bring back the different species of the Ceratopsian family that they found to either be their personal favorits or just truly unique. One (1) such species is the Kosmoceratops, which many scientists agreed that since it was unique in a number of ways and should be recreated/cloned.
Once cloned, the various scientists moved a numnber of decently sized herds (of about 25 or so members) to different locations throughout the Western states. Once the scientists had enough herds spread out, they decided to clone/recreate other herd animals that tended to roam plains and light forests in order to have a greater selection of study groups.
But then the Crash happened, sending everything into chaos, which in turn affected both Human and animal alike. The changes that happened during this time of change was basically consisting of Humanities population declining in numbers and the escape of large numbers of animals from the various forms of captivity. This then gave rise to intelligent mutant animals that proceeded to gain more humanoid looks and posture. As time went on, and as more animals started to gather into large groups for mutual protection, the Kosmoceratops (along with the various other forms of Ceratopsians that were in habiting the MidWest plains region of North America formed into small communities that farmed (relatively) large swathes of land in order to feed their numbers. Any left over food that they had, they traded with other communities for other resources.

Re: Rathorc's New Mutants
Here you go, Gazirra, I hpethat you enjoy it. It's the best I could do:
Water Bear
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: Water Bears (also known as: Tardigrades or Moss Piglets) are a species of water-dwelling, segmented Micro-Animals that can survive in extreme environments. They can withstand temperatures from just above Absolute Zero to well above the boiling point of water (100 degrees Celsius), able to withstand pressures six times (6x) greater than those found in the deepest ocean trenches, the vacuum of Outer Space and Ionizing Radiation at doses hundreds f times higher than the lethal dose for a Human.
They are able to go without food or water for more than ten (10) years. They are NOT considered to be Extremophiles, which is due to the fact that they do not adapt to exploit the above conditions. This means that the chances of them dying increase the longer they are exposed to the extreme environments.
The Tardigrades is an ancient group, with fossils dating from 530 Million years ago, in the Cambrian period.
Size Level: 1.
Length: Up to 1.5 Mm.
Weight: Up to 1 Ounce.
Build: Medium.
Mutant Changes & Costs:
Total Bio-E: 85.
Attributes Bonuses: None.
Human Features:
Hands: 10 Bio-E for Partial: Must be purchased for EACH set of limbs. 15 Bio-E for Full: Must be purchased for EACH set of limbs.
Biped: 5 Bio-E for Partial: Develops into a Centaur-like stance.
10 Bio-E for Full: Gains full Humanoid stance.
Speech: 5 Bio-E for Partial. 10 Bio-E for Full.
Looks: None: Has a head with a Barrel-Shaped body, which is in three (3) body Segments (similar to an Worm, with a fourth (4th) segment, each of which has a pair of legs. The legs are without joints and end in feet that have four (4) to eight (8) Claws each.
10 Bio-E for Partial: Develops a Humanoid body structure. Has a heavy, armoured body, a large, flat head with eyes that are flat against the head. Is clearly NOT Human.
Full Human Looks are NOT possible.
Natural Weapons:
5 Bio-E for 1D4 damage Fangs/Mouth Parts.
5 Bio-E for 1D8 damage Claws (Must be purchased for each pair of limbs).
10 Bio -E for 2D6 damage Claws (Must be purchased for each pair of limbs).
Mutant Animal Powers:
Automatically has Aquatic Swimming at 35% (generally tends to walk/crawl across the ocean floor).
Automatically has Advanced Vision.
Automatically gets Light Natural Exoskeletal Body Armour: A.R.: 3 and +3 S.D.C. (Authors Note: Depending on the Size Level of the character (IF going up to Size Level 11, which is the size of a normal Human), the A.R. and S.D.C go up to 7 and +15 respectively).
5 Bio-E for Water Breathing.
10 Bio-E for Brute Strength.
10 Bio-E for Night Vision (which is basically on at all times if still living deep under water).
10 Bio-E for Extra Physical Endurance.
10 Bio-E for Medium Natural Exoskeletal Body Armour: A.R.: 5 and +5 S.D.C. (Authors Note: A.R. and S.D.C go up to 9 and +35 respectively for up to Size Level 11).
Vestigial Disadvantages:
-5 Bio-E for Colour Blindness.
-5 Bio-E for Diet: Herbivore (Generally feeds on Algae).
-10 Bio-E for Reptile Brain: Prey.
-10 Bio-E for Diet: Carnivore.

AR 3? Minimum no body armor of any type is AR 5 (the bare minimum roll needed to hit). This makes your automatic light natural exo body armor a disadvantage because you are now easier to hit than.. than.. hitting the broad side of a barn. It also makes purchasing the med armor not cost effective.
But like Gazirra said, good work with a very obscure animal.

Re: Rathorc's New Mutants
I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on something: I'm going to TRY and post groups in order to help "flesh" out your characters Bio's more (similar to the Native American groups list under Wolves in the main book). I'm going to try to do a list for each continent. I don't know when I'll post them, though.
(P.S.: As a side note, I might post some benefits with them.)

(P.S.: As a side note, I might do up a brief "blurb" of info for each.)

Re: Rathorc's New Mutants
Alright, folks, I juts wanted to let you all know that I've done up a total of 9 new Mutants for AtB2 for now. Here's the first (1st): Australobarbarus
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Australobarbarus is a species of Dicynodont that lived and roamed throughout what is todays Russia during the Late Permian Period (from about 260 Mya. to 252 Mya.). It's habitat was mainly plains and light forests.
With the advent of Gene-Tech and the invention of the E.G.G.s, both of which were eventually allowed into the general public (but with some minor tweeks). These new technolgies caused a mad rush of scientists in various fields of sciences to purchase them in hopes of furthering their research. The scientists that were mainly purchasing the E.G.G.'s were maily Microbiologists, Biologists, Palaeontologists, Anthropologists and Palaeobotonists.
After a time, as scientists were cloning creatures and recreating long extinct animals, someone from Russia decided that they would recreate come of the animals from the Permian Period (and before). One (1) such cloned animal just so happened to be the Australobarbarus and it's relatives. This was done in hopes that they could figure out how it acted, along with various other things about the species.
After about five (5) or so years of studying live specimens, it was found that they seem to have the personality and the ability to be trained like that of a Canine, but the intelligence of a Rodent. This allowed the scientists to train the Australobarbarus for various things, such as sniffing for illegal drugs and digging tunnels for sewer lines and electrical lines, with most of the training taking place in Russia. After a certain amount of training was put forth into the animals, they were then allowed to be purchased by various companies and governments to fulfill various functions.
But then, the Crash happened, causing civilisation to collapse, chaos to spread and anarchy to rule. This was done whiile animals were mutating from the virus. During this time, some scientists managed to survive the virus and the chaos running rampant throughout the world, secluding themselves and a select few in Russia. While there, they realised that the various animal species in their part of the world were changing into new forms and gaining both intelligence and, in some cases, an unbridaled rage and viciousness.
It took some time, but they managed to seclude the virus and tweeked it a bit. They used this new virus on the Australobarbarus, which they mutated into more Humanoid forms. They then trained them to be guards and to create underground bunkers and labs that were located about 150 Metres underground for their safety f both themselves and their creations.
Size Level: 4.
Length: Up to 65 Centimetres long.
Weight: Ranges from 25 to 35 Lbs.
Build: Medium.
Mutant Changes & Costs:
Total Bio-E: 55.

10 Bio-E for Partial: Has a more humanoid body, a large, wide head, a small muzzle, thick neck, a muscular body that s longer and thinner than before, and limbs that are lnger than before, but are just as thick. Has five (5) fingers and toes.

Re: Rathorc's New Mutants
Here's the second (2nd):
Bathygnathus
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: Bathgnathus is a species of Synapsid (amlost like a mammal-like Reptile) thatlived during the Early Permian Period (about 270 Million Years Ago). It ramed the Semi-Arid plains of whatwould become the modern day Province of Prince Edward Island in Canada. It's fossils were discovered around the year of 1845, and was originally discribed by Mr. Joseph Leidy, who was also one of the indivduals who discovered it, as the lower jaw of a Dinosaur. Scientists found it to be of interest, for a number of reasons. Over the years since it was discovered, it was reinterpreted as the upper jaw in 1876.
With the advent f Gene-Tech, and the invention of the E.G.G.'s, there was a mad rush to clone/recreate various animals from throughout history. One (1) such creature that was brought back in order to study it was the Bathygnathus, since it was somewhat unique and could live in a similar habitat to Dimetrodon. When the Bathygnathus was finally fully recreated, hatched and growing throughout it's life stages, it was found out that it was a vicious animal. It had high predatory instincts and attacked everything in sight that it thought looked good enough to eat. As such, it was decided that they would be given their own enclosures that were similar to those of Alligators and Crocodiles, but were made to be even more durable, in hopes that this would be suitable enough
But, then the Crash happened, sending the wrld in chaos and mayham. As everything was going on, the Bathygnathus that were being kept in Zoo's, labs and other, similar, places slowly managed to escape into the wilds of the world. Once there, they started to mutate ith the animals throughout the rest of the world. This, unfortunately, proved to be a terrible thing, since as they gained more intelligence they became even MORE vicious and fierce then they were before. They eventually became known as Marauders, Berserkers, and Cannables
Size Level: 7 to 13.
Length: 4.6 to 12.2 Feet long.
Weight: 250 Lbs.
Build: Long.
Mutant Changes & Costs:
Total Bio-E: 40.
Attributes Bonuses: Brute Strength, +2 P.E., +6 Spd. and +3 P.S.
Human Features:
Hands: 5 Bio-E for Partial: Has four (4) fingers, one (1) of which is a Semi-opposable thumb.
10 Bio-E for Full: Has three (3) fingers and a fully opposable thumb.
Biped: 10 Bio-E for Partial. 20 Bio-E for Full.
Speech: 5 Bio-E for Partial. 10 Bio-E for Full.
Looks: None: Has a blunt, muzzled head that is semi-wedge-shaped, the eyes are positioned on either side of the head, but angled slightly forwards. A short, thick neck. a long, thick body with a long tail that is about 3/4 the length of the main body, short, but thick legs that end in four (4) fingered hands. Has a (relatively) large sail that runs the length body, ending at the begining of the tail.
10 Bio-E for Partial: Has a more Humanid body. The head is more blunt and rounder, with a short, blunt muzzle, the eyes are positined more forward then before, the neck is still thick and muscular, the body is thicker, but still thickly muscled, the limbs are longer and thicker than before, ending in four (4) clawed hands. The tail is shorter them before and is the length of the arms. Has a small sail that runs the length of the back.
20 Bio-E for Full: The head is large, with a large, blunt nose, and small eyes that are on the front of the face. The neck is short and muscular in appearance, the shoulders are thin, the arms and legs are longer than before and have a more muscular appearance, ending in four (4) fingered hands and feet. The body is muscular, with a semi-tubular appearance while the spine is sticking out a bitfurther from the back then what is average for a Human.

Re: Rathorc's New Mutants
Here's the eighth (8th):
Dinosaur (Ceratopsian): Mojoceratops Perfania
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Mojoceratops is a species of Ceratpsian that lived during the Late Cretaceous Period (about 75 Million years ago) in the Western portion of what is now modern day Canada (mainly Alberta). It is related to the Chasmosaurus, which is anothet large species of Ceratopsian. The most unique feature of the Mojoceratops is it's unusual (and large) frill. This is mainly due to the fact that the frill is heart-shaped, effectively being more elabrate than that of it;s closest relative: the Centrosaurus. It is thought that the Mojceratops used it's frill to announce it's availability to any females in a herd.
With the adventof Gene-Tech and the invention of the E.G.G.'s, both of which were allwed to be purchased and used by the general public (with some minor adjustments to both the programs and technlogy in order to either slow or stop them from being used by terrorists). One set of creatures was brought back from the other side of extinction: the Dinosaurs. The Mojoceratops was one (1) of many forms of Dinosaurs that was brought back for study. After a time, it was found that the Mojoceratops was one (1) of the most aggrasive of the Ceratopsian family (almost two (2) times more aggresive then a Male Rhinoceros during mating season), but it was also found that the meat was somewhat edible to Humans. Although, the canine test subjects LOVED the stuff. Eventually, the Mojoceratops was mass produced and put onto farms and large areas of land and were allowed to roam in a similar fashion to free-roaming Cattle.
A few years later, the Crash happend, effectivly sending Humanity into a nose-dive towards near extinction. During this time, the various animals that were being held in captivity managed to escape into the wilds of the world, where they (along with the already wild animals) started to mutate into new, more humanoid forms. As time passes, and the world starts to recover from the damage that humanity did to it over the centuries and millenia, the various Mojoceratops herds managed to settle down and form into clans after gaining thier intelligence. They managed to form small villages where the females took care of the hatchlings and young, while the males went out and gathered up the various food needed to survive. Each herd occupied a large 150 mile area where they had various field of vegitables. The males also protected the villages and colonies from attacks.
Size Level: 20.
Length: Up to 6 Metres long.
Weight: Up to 12,000 Lbs.
Build: Short.
Mutant Changes & Costs:
Total Bio-E: 0.

The skull has a short beak on a long, short snout with small eyes set high and spaced far apart on the head. The nostrils are situated on the top of the snout. The body is massive and round with huge, albeit short limbs. The fingers and toes are extremely short, thick and end in tough, horn-covered nails. Has a tail that is half as long as the body.
10 Bio-E for Partial: The skull is bony with small eyes that are located under a heavy brow, and a wide, sharp, bony nose. The body is short, thick and wide with proportional limbs. Has a thick, short tail that barely reaches to the ground. The hands, feet and fingers are fat and stubby with dense fingernails.
20 Bio-E for Full: Has small, beady eyes on a "snouted" face. Has a short, thick body and limbs. The hands and feet are extremely pudgy with thick nails.

Re: Rathorc's New Mutants
And here's the ninth (9th):
Dinosaur (Ceratopsian): Nasutoceratops
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Nasutoceratops is an extinct (along with every other Dinosaur species known) species of Ceratopsian that lived during the Late Campanian portion of the Cretaceous period (from about 76 to 75.5 Million years ago). They roamed the plains and light forests of what would eventually become the state of Utah in North America. The Horns is one (1) of the unique features of the Nasutoceratops, this is mainly due to the fact that the Horns are rounded above the eyes and are liked to those of modern Cattle. They extend almost to the tip of the snout.
With the advent of Gene-tech and the invention f the E.G.G.'s, both of which were allowed to be purchased by the general public (with some minor alterations to the programming and the mechanical aspects). A large amount of E.G.G.'s were purchased by the scientific community in order to help with the various studies. Some of the studies were in the fields of Viruses and Bacteria, while others were used to help with bringing back creatures from the ancient past for either scientific study or in order to be put into preserves in hopes that they would make a comeback.
One (1) group of creatures that were brought back from the other side of extinction were the Dinosaurs. Since the Nasutoceratops was such a unique creature that the scientists thought that it would be interesting to bring them back in hopes of studying every aspect about them. It was evetually found out that the Nasutoceratops was (like almost all other forms of Ceratopsians) was both nearsighted and far-sighted. This basically means that it could only see in the middle distance. It was also found out that it was as aggresive as a Male African Rhino, in respects of being suddenly startled. The meat of the Nasutoceratops was tough and hard to digest, although the skin was slightly tougher then a crocodiles. So, it was eventually decided that there would be farms for the Nasutoceratops similar to Alligator and Crocodile farms. There were also nature reserves and sanctuaries created for large herds of the creatures.
When the Crash happened, and civilization broke down, the Nasutoceratops in the various farms and oother places started to panic in their enclosures. This would lead the creatures to break free and flee into the wilds of the world. Eventually, as time moved on and things settled down somewhat, the Nasutoceratops slowly mutated and changed (along with every other creature across the planet). The herds slowly grew and started to spread out, eventually becoming something that is a cross between Mercenaries and Gypsies.

Bird: Gray Partridge
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Gray Partridge is a species of Peasant that is native to Eurasia. It was introduced to North America in the late 18th Century. Although, it only became a resident after repeated re-introductions. Hunters tend to call itthe Hungarian Partridge, or "Huns" for short. This species has benefited from the mixture of Agricultural and Fallow fields, that resulted from long-term Conservation Programs, and its population is stable or expanding into the West. The isolated Eastern populations, however, are declining due to change in land usage. It lives primarily lives in Agricultural fields of crops, including Corn, wheat and Oats, as well as associated Hedgerows and Fallow Grasslands. Most members of the species are migratory, but there IS some movement by Eastern Birds after breeding. They tend to nest in shallow depressions in soil that is lined with Vegetation, usually in Hedgerows. They lay from 14 to 18 Eggs during the months of March to May.

Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Rock Ptarmigan is a species of Ptarmigan and is the most Northern of the three (3) species found in North America. Although, some members make a short migration to more Southern wintering grounds, many still remain in their breeding grounds year round. The species prefers dry, rocky tundra and shrubby ridge tops. Bird: Sooty Grouse
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Sooty Grouse is a species of Grouse that has a range that is West of the Rocky Mountains in Canada and the US. They live from Sea Level to the Timberline. They tend to breed at lower elevations in open areas with Grassland, forest clearings and shrubs. They tend to move into thicker Evergreen forests at higher elevations during the Winter months. The Sooty Grouse, like the Dusky Grouse, has recently been reclassified as a sperate species.
Although it's primarily distinguished by its restrictions to coastal mountain ranges, it's plummage and behavorial displays help to differentiate the male Sooty Grouse from the Dusky Grouse. They tend to nest in shallow depressions, that are lined with dead vegitation, and are usually located under small Pine Trees. They lay between 5 to 8 Eggs from between the months of March and May.

Thanks Rathorc Lemenger, for posting your work.
I hate it when my mind wonders,
Because I have no idea what it will bring back with it.

Re: Rathorc's New Mutants
You're welcome, Abtex. I realise that they're not perfect, but a figured that I'd do up some stuff to give a somewhat decent selection of species for people. They're generally from a variety of home ranges. Also, I'll be doing some more, including various species of Geese, Ducks and Swans (hopefully).

Maybe some from the New England region?
Book is not handy. Is it possible for a non-human form mutant to control 'dumb' humanoid one to use as gunners or servants? By psi or voice command power.

I can try to figure something out. It'd take me awhile, though.

potentially.
if you had a humanoid animal mutant of your type that was not sapient (the book says sentient, but probably means sapient because a regular dog is sentient), you could command it with the animal command power. note that the animal type does have to be the same; a lion can command a lion, but not a mountain lion or a lynx.
you could arguably use mind trap to rapidly train a 'dumb' animal (getting an hour of training shoved into a minute, and having full control over the experience might let you train the animal extremely efficiently). or simply to show the animal exactly what you want it to do.
it might also be theoretically possible to create mutants with the "domestication" vestigial trait and have it apply to something other than humans (likely this would represent specific genetic tampering to create said trait, since i don't think any intelligent mutant animals will have had the time to instill it the old-fashioned way through hundreds of generations of animals).
in any case, the animal will be limited to their own intelligence. so while you might be able to somewhat train a humanoid animal to fire a gun, you're not likely to be able to teach it to use a gun as well as you could train an intelligent creature. i'd say you could probably get them up to the point where they no longer suffer penalties on aimed shots, but probably not to the point where they have the WP.
you could probably also train them to perform a variety of repetitive or simple tasks; fetch you a drink, churn butter, do one step in an assembly line, etc. though again, not necessarily as well as an intelligent creature would be able to do; they might not handle it well if the bolt they were supposed to tighten falls off, or if the animal on the previous step did it slightly wrong.

Re: Rathorc's New Mutants
Been looking over your recent avian mutants. Wow...Grouse seem no longer on the 'safe to hunt' list...
Farcical Limitation: (Avian Mutants, especially former game birds) Birdshot Magnet: Mutant suffers a +1 to be hit by metal birdshot rounds. Cost: +5 points.
"Yeah, walked across a hunting lodge parking lot and I swear EVERY racked shotgun in the 'lot went off on me....Pass the tweezers and that other roll of gauze, will you?"
