Thank you for any help.

Edit: So, I see others of you are looking at this, but thus far, no one has commented. Perhaps some more insight into my question.

I asked my GM what 'to carry' meant, and he replied that it was how much weight you could carry for 30 yards. In response, I loaded 3 people onto my back and into my arms, and carried about 465 pounds for 30 yards, giving me a PS of 23.

On reporting this to my GM, he said 'No, it's what you can pick up in your arms and carry for 30 yards.' I loaded up a weight bar, and carried 235 pounds, that being all the weights we had at hand, giving me a PS of 16. I think I could carry more, but I'm not sure I could carry 340 pounds, or what would give me a PS of 17.

I argued that the upper human limits allow someone with a PS of 30 to 'carry' 600 pounds. I've watched quite a few strongman contests, and depending exactly what the definition of 'carry' is, I have my doubts about anyone on our planet having a PS of 30.

Referencing the Dead Reign book, on page 34, it talks about zombies' PS, and mentions 30% of the male population being strong (having a PS of 17 to 24). Based on this information, and the opinion that I am one of the stronger people either of us knows, my GM and I have settled on giving my character a PS of 20.

Any further insight (say, from the gentlemen who wrote the game, or the creator of the Rifts attribute system) would be greatly appreciated.
My understanding of the term is that ANY WAY IN WHICH YOU CAN CARRY OR MOVE A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF WEIGHT is what determines your PS Score.

What....is your GM Now saying that your PS is, say, only a 10 because you can only comfortably carry a hundred pounds in your arms.......even though you could carry 235 pounds of stuff on your back with a well-balanced Backpack??

Sorry, but your GM isn't making much sense -and it sounds to me kinda like he's coinfusing Marvel Strength™ with Palladium Strength™. :D

i think if i was trying to determin my ps i would try doing it by the formula under lifting
which is you can lift twice as much as you can carry and would work out to max lift weight divided by 2 for what you can carry and then divide that number by 10

example your 235lb lift would give you a str of 11.75 or 12 if you rounded up thats if i understand how that was printed out right
