An overview of Palladium February 16-20
Gosh, this week just flew by. A lot happened, but a lot usually does at Palladium Books. In fact, we’ve made jokes about “real time” vs “Palladium time” (which pass at 10 times the speed of normal time) for years.
Dyval™. I spent most of my time on Dyval™ and I feel like I’m really starting to find my groove and pace on this book. Great stuff, can hardly wait till I dive into Dimensional Outbreak.
Robotech® Masters. Text approvals finally started coming in from Harmony Gold at a good pace. As I write this, about 70% of the manuscript has been approved with changes. Layout starts tomorrow and we will work through the weekend on this book. Should go to the printer sometime next week.
Warpath™ Urban Jungle™. Jason Marker, Wayne Smith and I spent three hours discussing game mechanics and hammering out what the O.C.C.s need to be and how they should work. We also discussed other aspects of the book, the backstory, and setting. It was a blast. I love talking game design and game mechanics.
Other New stuff. A meeting with a speciality printer went well and gave us ideas for all kinds of stuff. This is someone who does silkscreen printing and embroidery on T-shirts, baseball caps, coffee cups and all kinds of things. We talked about a lot of cool ideas for color T-shirts (he went crazy over Palladium’s artwork and covers), coffee cups, dice bags, and a bunch of other stuff that we are considering. We should see some samples and get some price qoutes in a week or two. Nice.
Palladium Open House (POH). Get those admission orders in as soon as possible!!! You can read about why in other recent Murmurs and the latest press release. Reserve your hotel rooms too!

6 VIP POH Tickets. Oh yeah, there are six VIP Thursday tickets available right NOW on a first come, first served basis. If you missed out the first time they were offered, here is your second shot at attending VIP night, April 30, 2009 – $60 a person (includes a dinner, gaming, etc. for the night).

A week of work. Wayne, Alex and I will be working through the weekend on Robotech® Masters and Dyval™, provided we don’t get completely buried in snow. 6-12 inches are coming depending on who you listen too!
