PSI Power Upgrades

Unread post by Captain Shiva »

I was going to ask the GM in the game I am currently playing in about this:using a minor psionic power slot to to upgrade to a Super version of the same power. Now, I wanted to use this to upgrade to Super Telekinesis, but you could also use it to boost Deaden Senses to Bio-Manipulation. What do you all think of this idea?
Have you ever been thrown out of a Rifts game for being smarter than the Game Master?

Depends. Instinct is to say NO WAY IN HELL.

I think there's a passage in the original Rifts RPG that says something like: "two abilities, even spectacular ones are insignificant" concerning psionics.

If the player isn't a jerk, then by all means, otherwise, why (as a GM) set yourself up for misery ?

>

I think you misread my post. I am the player who wants to do this. And the reason I want to do it is to increase my character's combat versatility.

You're talking to a bunch of GM's we HATE player "innovations" in games (gives us nightmares and such... :o )

I'd let it slide just because I'd penalize you for it later... 8-)
