Nothing says these pyramids have to be gigantic. It appears to be the shape that is important. Still, he's got to get the stone from somewhere, shape it into bricks, then place it. He's going to need help to move weight like that.
Help or time, but, IIRC, Atlantis lists a minimum size for pyramids.

IMO, the Stone Master doesn't have to build it by himself, but he has to be involved in the building. You can't put a pyramidal heap of stones on a nexus and have it start regulating PPE flow, even if it is hundreds of feet tall... you have to have a Stone Master involved in the creation, shaping blocks to fit better, aligning things perfectly, rejecting or refining the occasional stone.

Well the book says you can create a 300' pyramid in a matter of months..lets assume that means three. So a 100' by comparison may take a month or less. I suspect the best way to deal with the situation is to start with a 100' pyramid then use the extra multiplier (triple instead of double on the ley line) to build the larger one faster..remember all the stone masters would get the extra multiplier. Also if you were to have an apprentice (or multiple stone masters) they could have the smaller pyramid when they were done. OR you could start building your really big pyramid as a 100' pyramid, then use the extra multiplier to make it bigger fast (even a 100' pyramid would be 4x power on a nexus, so you are working at 4x speed to expand your pyramid). I think I like this idea best.
There are a bunch of ways to increase the availability of stone, a few: Earth warlock spells: Clay to stone, wood to stone, Petrification [size doesn't matter so crack out those 50+ton dinosaurs 40 PPE will get you a lot of stone, then you grind him up (sorry fella)]. Just keep a medusa or something like that as a pet (hmmm stone master familiars/pets that turn things to stone...I'll take the demon beetle Kmm from the conversion book). Can we cast a spell to make one block regenerate after we destroy it? Metropolis I believe is the spell I am thinking of... There are no doubt others ways.
Errant thought: Stone masters can not create golems...which doesn't make much sense.

Stone masters don't really enchant stone... they manipulate natural stone. While they could create the body of a golem quickly and easily, enchanting stone is outside what most of their powers are arranged around.
