Rune Parchment

Just a little thought I had while working on an article:

Silver-runed parchment can't be burned... but can it catch fire?

Short answer is no.

That being said, if you were to dip it in gasoline or something like that. You could make it appear like it was a blaze for some reason. The description of Sliver-rune parchment is pretty clear that any bonding agents are vulnerable to destruction so those elements could catch on fire and give the illusion that the paper itself was on fire. I guess it could be a way to hide your parchment you could place it some incendiary medium that was ignited to protect it. Seems like a whole lot of trouble, but it could be done.

The parchment itself cannot ignite though whatever volitile chemicals you might put on it certainly could.

I'm thinking an extreamly lightweight parchment and pine resin torch could be made from a lengthy sheet of this rolled up with the pine resin spiraled into it at one end. The parchment would basically act as a never ending wick. The fuel burns but the wick is nice and fresh and just needs a new dose of fuel.
