An exhausted Update April 27, 2009

The Rifter® #46 Ships Tuesday, April 28

This is another great issue jammed packed with stuff.
- Dragons in Rifts®, Brodkil and their twisted society.
- The city of Worldgate in Wormwood™.
- Quick Roll Villains for Dyval™ plus some Dyvalian henchmen (all “official” source material for Dyval™).
- Creatures for BTS-2
- Weird Mutants for HU2 and After the Bomb®,
- Hawaiian myth and supernatural beings
- A Fantasy setting short story, and more!

The Dead Reign™ Sourcebook One: Civilization Gone™

The book went to the printer last week.
I approved the cover and interior pages at the printer TODAY.

It looks awesome and has all kinds of data and info to expand the adventures: villains, madmen, new phobia and obsession table, advice from Brad Ashley, three new zombie variants, a lot of random tables and great artwork. Advanced copies of Civilization Gone™ will be available at the Palladium Open House. The book will ship to the rest of the world the following Tuesday (May 5).

Rifts® Shemarrian Nation™

In case you missed it, Shemarrian Nation™ shipped last week, April 24! It’s another fine product from Palladium Books.

Nightbane® Survival Guide

We just could not get the book finished before the Palladium Open House, but it looks epic, is packed with data about the Nightbane, their history, their lives, and how they survive on the streets hunted by the minions of the Nightlords. And the artwork is breathtaking! Still scheduled for a May release.

My Apologies . . .

My apologies for not posting Murmurs more often, but the months of March and April have been soooo busy with work that I just haven’t been able to do so.

I also apologize to the multitude of people who have sent me Private Messages over the last 6 weeks, as I have not been able to find time to answer them either! Sorry folks, I hope you understand.

I have been working at a break-neck pace SEVEN days a week for some time now. So has Kathy and Alex, with Wayne and Julius putting in only slightly fewer hours six days a week. Yeesh. Heck, I’m writing this at 10:35 P.M. Monday night (my work day started at 8:00 AM).

A big part of that has been getting books to the printer. Another has been getting a batch of non-book products done (dice bags, coffee mugs, new T-shirts, etc.). And another big part has been getting ready for the Open House. It is much more work than you might imagine.

The Palladium Open House is going to be fantastic

The new releases, the new T-shirts, the dice bags, coffee mugs, magnets, Rifts calculator, the decorations, the bagging of the T-shirts, the making of signs, the cleaning, repair work, putting up the displays, making all the arrangements . . . it takes a lot of time, work and energy.

- 89 gaming events. Wayne finally finalized the game schedule today.
– Approximately 40 Palladium creators will be in attendance.
- Panel talks, costume contest, and live auction are all plotted out.
- We put together the Erick Wujcik memorial display today.
- I’m still working on displaying the 60+ auction items.
- The “Hell was full so I came back" FULL COLOR T-shirt came in over the weekend and looks incredible! Wow. Regrettably, the Glitter Boy T-shirt didn’t work out with the printer we were using, but we’ll have it available in May, online.
- We still can’t get over how awesome the Rifts® coffee mugs ($10) and Rifts® dice bags ($8) look. The magnets too.

We are all starting to get pretty pumped up about the event.

Now it is a mad dash to be ready for the Palladium Open House which starts with V.I.P. THURSDAY in just two days! But it will all be worth it.

I’m telling you folks who are in the area, you need to join the fun! Come on down and join the fun, it’s gonna be a blast.

Whew, almost 11:00 PM, I need to go home, watch Heroes and go to sleep.

Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
