Are there any plans to make an animated DVD similar to the ones for the Matrix and the Dark Knight with ancilliary and background stories linked to the movie?

I haven't heard of any plans. A Rifts movie would definitely lend itself to supplemental DVD tie-ins given the breadth of characters and backgrounds possible. Of course we need the movie to move forward first before than can be any tie-ins and the money (plus public interest) to back up the secondary projects.
