I love Palladium Fans

Unread post by Kevin »

I love Palladium Fans.

Most are imaginative, inventive, expressive, enthusiastic, friendly, helpful, kind-hearted, and all-around good people.

The most famous example of this is how Palladium fans (and gamers in general) rushed to Palladium's aid during the Crisis of Treachery. It was incredible and really did help save Palladium Books!

Another example happened at the 2009 Open House. One of Palladium’s freelancers was in an auto-accident 50 miles from Palladium Books. His car had to be towed to Palladium and there was serious damage. An estimated $2000 to $3000 worth of damage. I asked everyone present to help the poor lad out by tossing $5-$10 into a box to help ensure he could get repairs to make it back home. EVERYONE was quick to put a few to several dollars toward the cause. How awesome is that?

Seriously, do you realize how awesome all of you are? How special that was? Palladium fans are the greatest in the world.

Here is a humorous example of how wonderful and enthusiastic Palladium fans can be. I announced in a murmur and Press Release, that the 2009 Open House (just two weeks ago) was such a success, so much fun, and so many fans told me we "had to do it again next year," that we already made the decision to do it, and set the dates (April 29 to May 2, 2010). I also recounted how impressed the hotel was with Palladium fans. That the hotel staff said they had NEVER seen such a large group of friendly, appreciative and cool people.

I went on to report that the hotel wanted us to reserve the ENTIRE hotel for the 2010 Open House and we were going to do just that.

Well, the story doesn’t end there. Since that announcement, at least a half-dozen people have called the hotel to reserve their rooms for the 2010 Open House! That made us laugh. God, I love you guys and gals!

The hotel was unable to take those early reservations, because Palladium had not yet reserved that weekend. However, due to popular demand, Palladium has reserved the Comfort Inn Plymouth hotel and you can start placing your hotel reservations for the 2010 Open House effective immediately. Same price per room too!

I guess Palladium should probably start offering 2010 admission tickets in a few weeks too. I am delighted everyone had such a wonderful time at the Open House that many are eager to come back next year.

Other News

A bunch of cool products are now available in Palladium’s Online Store. In addition to the T-shirts put up last week, there are.

- Rifts® pocket calculator ($5.00 and fun, selling a lot of these).
- Rifts® dice bag ($8.00; black or navy blue).
- Rifts® Logo, 3x3 inch, sticky note pads.
- Rifts® coffee mug (holds 15.5 ounces).
- Gamer Logo™ coffee mug (holds 15.5 ounces).
- Game Master: Imagination Unleashed T-Shirt.

All are described and listed in tonight’s Press Release and online catalog page. We’ll also be doing Rifts® baseball caps, more T-shirts, coffee mugs (for other Palladium game lines) and other cool stuff.

A lot of folks are excited about Carmen’s Rifts® board game and so are we. However, there are a number of design elements that need to be changed and tweaked before it can be considered for mass production. Consequently, this game is probably a year away from release.

More new books are in the pipeline. Nightbane® Survival Guide is next, Mysteries of Magic™ (Palladium Fantasy RPG®), Dimensional Outbreak™ (Minion War™/Phase World®), Heroes of the Megaverse® (Minion War™/Rifts®/Phase World®), Armageddon Unlimited™ (Minion War/HU2), Fleets of the Three Galaxies™ (Rifts®/Phase World®), Warpath™: Urban Jungle™ (modern combat RPG), 2-3 new Robotech® sourcebooks and several other titles are all on our plate for release later this year. We’ll keep you posted as release dates are firmed up.

Keep those imaginations burning bright and thank you for making me proud of Palladium fans.

Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
