Bits and pieces
Must have jinxed myself with that Murmur last week about it being so productive, because I feel like I got nothing done this week.
That’s not true, of course. I did a great deal, but not enough to keep us from slipping a bit off schedule and not doing everything I NEED to get done.
Rifts® World Book 13: Lone Star™ will be back in print Monday or Tuesday and available from the Palladium online store. Cat. No. 825, 176 pages, $20.95 retail. It is at the printer and ships June 2.
The Nightbane® Survival Guide was coming along great and then I hit a snag with the writing. Just going slow. I keep telling myself I need to knock off early or even take a day off, but there is just sooooo much to do and I know you guys and gals are counting on us getting out new books at a good pace. I know I’m tired. I laid down for just a minute earlier today and next thing I knew I fell asleep for an hour.
Nightbane® Survival Guide is a great book that gives a lot more color and depth to the Nightbane themselves. I think gamers will love it. And if you haven’t looked at Nightbane® in awhile, you should. It’s very unique. What I like to call “superhero horror.” Get this book and you’ll know exactly what I mean.
The cover for Survival Guide came in today. Mark Evans captured the essence of this book perfectly. Great job, Mark.
My writing slump and being pulled away to address other business issues will delay the book from going to the printer tomorrow like I had planned, but next week is a certainty and so is a June release.
Spent a lot of time plotting upcoming releases and speaking to freelancers this week. I talked with Jeffry Scott Hansen and Jason Marker about Warpath™: Urban Jungle™, Apollo Okamura about the cover to Heroes of the Megaverse®, Mark Evans about the Nightbane® Survival Guide cover (and other stuff), Carmen Bellaire about . . . well, stuff, Jason Marker about the Robotech® UEEF Marine Sourcebook, and Mark Dudley, John Zeleznik, Kent Burles, Ramon Perez, Amy Ashbaugh and a host of others. Busy and productive, but keeping me from finishing Nightbane® and assigning out art. At least it’s all coming together nicely and upcoming books are in development or various stages of production.
I'm tired and going home. Have a good evening and game on!
Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
