As we race to the finish line on this one, I wanted to share my thoughts. I'm a big fan of hardware science fiction and I'm impressed with the spaceships and the intergalactic scale of this book. Even the Splugorth have a fleet in the Three Galaxies. Reading about the various races vying for power had the feel of a plausible history book. This was enhanced by a time-line of key military events in the Three Galaxies. If you've been waiting to learn about strategies and tactics for space combat, it's in here.
