The way of the yo-yo
After coming off the best weekend sales in 10 weeks, this morning saw the worst single day online sales in 9 weeks.
And the yo-yo goes up and down.
Sheesh. Like I said, this year has been an unnerving yo-yo or roller coaster ride of ups and downs. You'd think we'd be used to it by now, but the extreme highs followed by extreme lows are still disturbing. Oh well, it is what it is.
Ultimately, Palladium should see good sales this week, bolstered by the release of the rip-snorting Nightbane® Survival Guide. It is the first sourcebook for the Nightbane® series in a few years (with many more to come) and announces the return of support to the Nightbane® line with a bang. Survival Guide is just a great book that can launch or reinvigorate anyone’s campaign. It ships on Thursday, July 9.
The Rifter® #47 ships next, shipping July 16, and so does our new catalog.
Wayne should start laying out Fleets of the Three Galaxies™ later today and it is on track to ship July 24.
Then comes all kinds of other good stuff – new coffee mugs, the Rifts® baseball cap, Mysteries of Magic™, Dimensional Outbreak™, the Robotech® UEEF Marine Corps sourcebook, Heroes of the Megaverse®, Robotech® New Generation™, Warpath™: Urban Jungle™ RPG, and a whole lot more. 2009 is going to be an exciting year for all of us.
While we missed hitting our ambitious target of 12-14 new “book” products out by the end of June, we did release 7 and we will easily release 7-9 more new books by the end of the year, and that does not include non-book products like Rifts® dices bags, new T-shirts, the coffee cups, magnets, baseball cap, and other cool items (which are numbering around a dozen all by themselves at this point).
In other good news, we continue to see a surprising number of new people purchasing our products, along with many long time Palladium supporters. That’s awesome, because you always need to build your business, especially during times of economic downturn. Welcome all you Palladium first timers, I think you'll enjoy the Palladium RPG Megaverse® very much.
Palladium is holding its own for the moment and we’re full of big dreams and high hopes for the future. As long as our fans are on board for the the ride, keep spreading the word, attract new gamers, and enjoy the fruits of our labor, Palladium should be fine.
So keep the faith and game on! We have entire new worlds for you to explore.
