It is Friday, and another crazy week is almost behind us

Yesterday, I had a minor dental emergency (I’m fine), a business dinner meeting, and some running around that kept me out of the office half the day. Then I had a couple telephone conferences, and an online interview. Busy.

I was afraid my mouth would be half frozen for my dinner meeting. I had visions of me spitting food, dribbling water and drooling while I ate, but thankfully, I was 95% defrosted by the time food arrived and the evening went well.

The Rifter® #47 arrived today!

The Rifter® #47 arrived this afternoon, almost a week early. However, we are waiting for the Catalog to ship with it. We’ll do shipping prep work on Monday and ship this bad boy on Tuesday, still two days sooner than expected. As I’ve been saying, this is a GREAT issue, and an absolute must for fans/players of the Chaos Earth RPG™ setting.

Fleets of the Three Galaxies™

As I write this (about 6:00 PM, July 10), the first 78 pages out of 128 are completely done, laid out and being proofread by Julius. It is looking great and is a wonderful read with all kinds of insight to the key powers of the Three Galaxies, equipment, weapons, spacecraft, creation guidelines, notable characters and Space Magic. That is the previously unadvertised surprise. A bunch o’ space spells (30-40 of them as I recall) by me and Carl Gleba.

Mysteries of Magic™

In addition to the dynamic cover art for Mysteries of Magic™ by David Martin, he is also working on a special logo design for the series. I approved his rough design for it this afternoon. Nice. Now I need to assign out the artwork for it and Dimensional Outbreak™.

A strong sales week

After 2-3 strong days of sales, this morning sales were down again. Not horrible – middle of the road – but sales for the overall week, bolstered by the strength of the Nightbane® Survival Guide, ended on the upside. In fact, it was our best sales in 8 weeks. Hopefully, the trend continues throughout the month.

I was also happy to see a couple of small distributor restock orders this week, and a large number of pre-orders for upcoming product. In fact, it may have been a record number of pre-orders at around 100! Everything from Fleets to the Rifts baseball cap and coffee mugs were being ordered. Cool.

I’m sure there is more going on, but I have a lot of work to do before I can go home, so that’s it for now. Of course, read the new Press Release for more info on specific titles, releases and news.

I don’t know if I’ll be posting Murmurs this weekend, but I’ll be back next week with more updates, thoughts and insight to the inner workings at Palladium books. Game on.
