Fleets is on its way . . .

Fleets of the Three Galaxies™ is done and at the printer
The writing and layout for Fleets of the Three Galaxies™ was finished today and sent to the printer. It should ship July 28, only four days later than originally announced. Thanks in large part to the printer’s quick turn around. I love McNaughton & Gunn.
Fleets is nothing short of excellent. The classification and defining of the fleets by size and type (fighter, shuttle, frigate, cruiser, battleship, etc.) makes sense and is easy to use. The ship creation guidelines are fun and helpful. The 10 interstellar powers discussed offer new spacecraft, more history and background, and each provides clear avenues for adventure the G.M. can easily develop. Plus there are notable characters, space gear, a few weapons, the Altess Advocate Robot, EVA packs, space tugs, an escape capsule and . . . 16 pages of Space Magic.
It think the Space Magic (by me and Carl Gleba) really helps to round the book out and make it fun and unexpected. Magic is a common “technology” in the Three Galaxies and used by the United Worlds of Warlock, the Dominators, the Splugorth, demons and others. Some are practical, some are combat oriented, some are defensive and all are imaginative and fun. It’s a great book, with more to come.
