Looking ahead

I was pleased to have the opportunity to contribute some new spells to the upcoming Mysteries of Magic for Palladium Fantasy. It's hard to believe that so much time has passed since me, Kevin and about 23 other people at the old Detroit Gaming Center played in the Palladium of Desires. It was also the time I put out a publication called Game Merchant, an adzine that featured Kevin's latest creations and everything else gaming plus some convention news and even a comic strip. The PoD was a lot bigger inside than it was outside, and the encounters ran from medieval to far future. It seemed like almost anything could be found lurking inside. So I'm glad we're back to exploring the Palladium World and revealing more of its secrets.
That said, I'm also looking forward to exploring the present in Warpath: Urban Jungle. This will flesh out the new threat environment for the 21st Century in what is predicted to be a series of low-intensity conflicts, including conflicts set in urban areas. Everyone from foreign agents to organized crime play a role in a hidden, secret war that does not make the news. By blending into the background, the bad guys are sometimes hard to identify or locate, and avoiding collateral damage is especially important since operations take place in your home country. And when your team is out in the field, no one else has your back. This book will also include a good number of weapons, gear and gadgets.
Finally, I'm told we still have some VIP Thursday 2010 tickets. Order now!
