Special Event for gamers in the Detroit Area

Special Event for gamers, comic collectors and sports card enthusiasts in the Detroit Area
Comics Archives is the comic shop I go to. It is roomy, well lit, friendly, I like the people who run it, and they have a nice selection of old and new comics, graphic novels, toys and other stuff. Part of that other stuff is sports cards, but I’m not into that (thank goodness).
The owner decided to host a big, special store event the last Saturday of August (the 29th) and asked me if I wanted to participate. I said yes.
So I’m the special guest at Comics Archives, August 29, in Redford Michigan.
To help make his event special and to help local gamers, the Palladium crew and I will be bringing key core RPGs, sourcebooks and recent Palladium releases, and selling them at a steep 40% discount.
Michigan, in general, and the Detroit area in particular, has been suffering so much from the economic downturn, Auto-Crisis, Housing crisis and highest unemployment (16% as I recall hearing last) I thought being part of the event, giving away FREE Rifters, other FREE items, and offering the rest of our books at a substantial discount might brighten up the day for local gamers. I sincerely hope gamers in the area come in and take advantage of the event and sale.
Alex Marciniszyn, me and maybe a few other Palladium staffers will be available to chat and sign books. Since we aren’t doing any conventions this year (other than our own Open House) I thought it would be nice to make ourselves available to at least local fans. I’ll be at Comics Archives from 11:00 AM till 5:00 PM, so come on down.
Plus there will be all kinds of store-wide sales, Palladium will be handing out FREE copies of The Rifter®, Catalogs and maybe a few other items, and there will be other sales and other things going on.
