How do you keep your Magic Guilds unque from each other?

The GM making up the guild makes up the ranks, guild rules, guild obligations (dues, oaths and such) and benefits (teaching spells, magic library, availability of spell scrolls, ....).

Type of members (evil, good, selfish), Guild goals, relative wealth, racial based, class based, clan based, cast based, city/location based.
If they require clothing, badges, etc..
May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.
Each question should be give the canon answer 1st, then you can proclaim your house rules.
Reading and writing (literacy) is how people on BBS interact.
