Recently .. I was in a discussion about Two of what has to be the number 1 and 2 Most Powerful beings in the entire Megaverse. And to my surprise The Old Ones dispite being stated as being the most powerful an all this an all that .. I was at a loss for words when the person I was talking to said flat out ..
Old Ones are old world powerful (HP an no SDC on top of that) but compared to what has been written since .. they are just not as powerful as they once were ..
What do you all think about this ? I mean I know Powercreep is a natural flow of the games .. but has Palladium now created beings that are even MORE .. Powerful then the Old Ones ?
And in most of thier writups .. it states they were around for this war or that war or they are expending VAST amounts of PPE .. to keep unnameable beings in thier dimensional prisions an this an all that ..
What do you guys think ?

The version of the Old Ones referenced by the person you were speaking with are the first edition PF Old Ones, statted out in the back of the 1E PF Old Ones book. In 1E, no living being had SDC, characters could not improve attributes, and things were a lot weaker than now. They are not valid for comparison.
The Old Ones, updated for 2E, are powerful enough that HP and SDC are not even given, because they simply can not be killed. Even the combined might of nearly every god, AI, and race in the megaverse could not manage to kill an Old One, and they were put to sleep out of fear that the megaverse might collapse if one was, in fact, killed.
They are more powerful than anything in the game, hands down, no questions asked.

Actually, only ONE Old One has stats, and he's stated as a very minor one at that. When most people say Old Ones, they really mean the Great Old Ones, who are VASTLY more powerful.

Actually, PRGPG Old Ones has seven Old Ones statted out, the seven most powerful except for Thoth, apparently.

I have both editions of PFRPG Old Ones. I assure you that they are not statted out anywhere in either.
There is only one, very minor old one statted out in the first edition one, and he is not one of the greats.
