What would you download?

Kind of a multi part question.

1. If you were a true zombie apocolypse believer and therfore had nearly unlimited time (hey you've been prepairing for years) to download it, what info would you dowload so as to be able to access once the net is down?

2. If you were just convinced the zompocolypse was upon us by seeing zombies yourself and knew that in a short time the net would largely colapse (say in the next 1 or 2 days), what would you download?

3. Assuming you don't have solar or wind power and that you have a printer, what would you try to print off before you lost power?

I think the thing you are forgetting is that after the zombie apocalypse not a lot of people are going to have a whole lot of spare power. Which means that you won't have access to anything you downloaded and stored on personal media.

Another problem is if you print it all off, how are you going to carry it around with you until you find a defensable location?

Not forgetting that at all. You might not have power but if you have electronics that you really want to use then you have more reason to get power either from a solar cell or the remaining active power grid, in some places it might work for months or years. And it doesn't take much to charge a laptop, a small rollable solar panel already exsists that will do the job.

Even if you don't have power to recharge batteries there would be tons of vehicles to scavenge batteries from then just use an inverter. Most laptop charges only draw about 130w so a 150w inverter would more than cover you. You could have power for months off looted 12volt batteries.

This is a seriously easy thing to think of and relativly easy to accomplish... and not to put you down at all but if you cannot think of a way to get power enough for a laptop then I think survival in DR might be harder for you than for others.



As to what you print that would be probably very limited by your stock of paper and ink and how much you want to carry more so than what you can physically lug with you. Though the question was more designed to ask what info would be so important to you that you would want a hard copy of when you might not have power for days or weeks (and then later might not have even batteries to scavenge years down the road) while you are besieged by zombies. Like maybe how to install and wire a solar or wind electrical generation system, how to build traps to catch small/large game, a list of DoT codes so you can see what is in those unmarked rail and semi tankers, maps of railways, etc.

_if_ the zombie apocalypse was at hand one of the first things i would download is the anarchist cookbook (i would not download it unless i had hard proof of the zombies being on earth and near me)

I have a book and vid from PP on how to make improvised C-4 and a book on building rockets and warheds.

Nevers seen those Foxfire books before. They look awesome form what I saw on amazon. Wonder if there is anyplace you could download them.
