I think the majority of art in Palladium's books is very inspirational. When I buy a new book, I thumb through it first, find the art that appeals to me and then read those associated articles first.
Hell, in my old Robotech core book I colored all of the artwork in pencil, I loved it so much.

I'd have to agree that the art work in many books have inspired me to generate interesting characters, rarely do I field the something close to it, but it gets the gears turning without a doubt. My most memorable is actually a joke character based on the picture of the core books Summoner, that has been a running joke for several years started off abusing a demons true name. The thing that inspires me the most for story driving ideas is the massive (and generally needless but wonderful) list of stores and places in all the major towns and little bit characters in it that get perhaps 1-2 sentences.

While I've found inspirations for an uncountable number of sources (I once found a muse for a character while watching smut), I had done this very thing a few times... I think that new West Grackletooth pic you mentioned was one of em.

The Zenith Moon Warper picture in psyscape inspired a character and me developing that race extensively...
Also well not Rifts the picture of the Druid in D&D 3rd edition Player's Handbook book inspired my very first 3rd ed D&D character.
Yeah thinking about I think many of my characters have been inspired by artwork.

Most of my favorite characters have been original creations but I have had a lot of other characters that were inspired by art. There are dozens of Palladium pictures that have inspired characters. Many I haven't had a chance to play, unfortunately.

I don't think I would have created my first Cosmo-Knight had it not been for the awesome artwork on display. I thought the centaur with the bow was just "cool" (even though I made a humaniod Knight with a sword). The legendary Ninja-Juicer pic also inspired me to use them as NPCs...and not just regular NPCs...badass NPCs...

They're Ninja's who are also Juicers, which are basically pseudo-Ninjas, so you have sorta-ninja Ninjas, how CAN'T that be badass for NPCdom?
