Time is running out

Time is running out

Order gifts no later than December 16 to get them BEFORE for Christmas! Sooner is BETTER.

It’s December 1, and that means Christmas is only 24 days away. We meant to mention this in the last Press Release, but forgot: Time is running out to receive book orders and Grab Bags in time for Christmas!

Please allow a day or two for us to process, pull, pack and sign Christmas Surprise Packages, plus you must allow for SHIPPING TIME – which slows down after December 11 due to high volume.

Time Tables to keep in mind

UPS Ground. Orders placed via UPS Ground by December 16 are guaranteed to arrive before Christmas. Shipping to most places East of the Mississippi River takes 2-3 days. West of the Mississippi takes 4-6 days. UPS can be tracked and is the most efficient way to ship.

UPS 2nd or 3rd Day Service has it’s obvious advantage, but you still need to allow 1-2 days for order processing. FYI: Orders placed over the weekend do not get processed before Monday or Tuesday as we are dealing with large volumes of orders (mostly Grab Bags with multiple books per order, and most requiring autographs). I wouldn’t consider this faster service until after December 16, and even then, those of you living east of the Mississippi “should” be able receive orders places as late as December 20, by Christmas Eve – but “no” guarantee.

NOTE: We MUST have a complete street address including Apartment number to ship via UPS. UPS cannot ship to a P.O. Box (see Priority).

Priority Mail takes 3 days – sometimes 4-5 days during the Christmas season. The tracking capabilities are more like: 'Delivered/ not delivered,' than actual tracking, and can take days to get a response. We recommend UPS.

Media Mail is slow and unreliable even when it isn’t holiday season. It takes 3-16 days for delivery. During the holidays, delivery is more like 10-24 days. DO NOT use Media Mail after December 4 if you NEED your book order or Surprise Package BEFORE Christmas. There is no guarantee you'll get it and there is no way to track Media Mail.

NOTE: Media Mail is also much more likely to get "lost" in the mail. Any order shipped Media Mail that is “lost in the mail” is YOUR loss, not Palladium Books. Your order will NOT be recreated. YOU use Media Mail – the most unreliable of shipping services – completely at you OWN risk. We strongly recommend UPS or Priority Mail.

Likewise, if you give us the wrong or incomplete address the loss is yours. Palladium cannot replace the order as a result of your mistake or ommission. Remember, we are packing Christmas Surprise Packages full, often with $90-$100+ worth of product, and we cannot send that out twice due to your mistake. I hope you understand. Likewise, numbered limited editions and original artwork can NOT be replaced if lost. BE CAREFUL, send your complete, current address – including your apartment number – and use a reliable, trackable and insured method of shipping like UPS.

Those are my words of wisdom.

Get those orders in soon if you want/need them by Christmas Eve (the sooner, the better).
