Another busy day

Today was another busy day at Palladium
Spent a lot of time working on Christmas Surprise Packages, general business, paying bills (depressing), planning and running errands.
We signed a couple hundred books in preparation for what is usually the BIG Christmas rush for Grab Bags. After all, time is running out – with about 2 weeks – for people to place orders with any certainty of getting them in time for Christmas without paying for expedited shipping.
Jeff Hansen and Mark Dudley were supposed pop in to sign more books this week, but they were “no shows.” However, Carmen Bellaire came by today and signed a bunch of books for the Grab Bags.
Carmen also showed us his cityscape, action figures and plans for his Open House Robotech® game. He’s building an entire city (looks amazing!!) and using toys of Robotech® mecha as playing pieces to scale. Wow. It is soooo cool.
In fact, with 2010 being Rifts® 20th anniversary and The Rifter® hits landmark issue number 50 in April (12 years of publication), many of us are pulling out ALL THE STOPS for next year's Palladium Open House. Carmen is running a gorgeous and memorable Robotech® game, we’ll have cake and some kind of “Rifts 20th Birthday celebration”, issue 50 of The Rifter® will be super-special with all or mostly “official” source mateial and 128 pages, and there will be many other special events as part of the Rifts® Birthday celebration. Don’t worry, ALL of Palladium’s game lines will be represented.
Speaking of which, if you plan on attending and running games/events at the 2010 Palladium Open House, PLEASE get us the descriptions of your event and the usual details (Name, game system, length of play, number of players, day and times you’d prefer to run, etc.) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
Dead Reign™: Dark Places™ is selling like hot cakes and it is currently the Number One requested item in the Christmas Surprise Packages.
I’ve also been spending time planning and plotting 2010 releases as well as the 2010 Open House. Talked to freelance writers about Robotech® (we have big plans for that game line), the updated and expanded World Book One: Rifts® Vampire Kingdoms™, the Rifts® Vampire Kingdoms sourcebook (all new), Triax 2, The Rifter #50, Mysteries of Magic™ 2, Warpath™ and others.
Let me tell you, there is NO shortage of great ideas for new books.
Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
