Excellent weekend sales
We usually anticipate a sharp drop in sales right about now as Christmas is almost upon us and the purchasing of Christmas Surprise Packages as gifts comes to an end.
However, weekend sales were outstanding – 38% higher than the same weekend last year! 52 Christmas Surprise Packages came in over the weekend and shipped out today! We were all in the warehouse hustling to make sure EVERY package got shipped out.
The surprising and impressive sales are very, very welcomed and needed. December sales are currently up from last year (and December was a very good month last year). If this keeps up, December 2009 could surpass last year's sales by 12-20%! Fantastic! However, while Christmas Surprise Package sales have been up, Palladium is still playing catch-up from weak sales in May, June and July (down 30% from the previous year) and terrible sales in the months of August and the first half of September (down an unprecedented 43% from the previous year). The mid-year economic slump hurt, so a big December sales month on the heels of strong October and November sales is awesome.
We also continue to hear wonderful well wishes and praise about Palladium’s products, new releases, the Surprise Packages, and our hard work and perseverance. We are thrilled to enthrall so many imaginations and make so many Palladium fans happy with our work. And we are delighted everyone seems to be loving their 2009 Christmas Surprise Packages.
Surprise Package Offer Extended till January 15, 2010
In case you haven’t heard, you can order a Surprise Package up to January 15, 2010.
It is tradition to extend the offer 2-3 weeks after Christmas. We do so because we know some people miss it with all the other holiday demands on them. Others are generously spending their hard earned money on gifts for loved ones and can’t afford to get the Surprise Package for themselves until after Christmas. And we know some of you just want more.
This year, when so many people are feeling financial pressure, we thought it was more important than ever to extend the Surprise Package offer. You have till January 15, 2010, but don’t wait, get yours now.

The Surprise Package offer makes a great gift for Birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, Sweetest Day and other special occasions or just to fill in your own collection. Keep ‘em coming.
In other news
The Palladium X-Mas office party was Friday. Kathy whipped up mashed potatoes, meatballs, kielbasa and kraut along with a tray of cookies and a couple of pumpkin pies. Yum.
It was the Palladium staff (all five of us) plus Mark Dudley, Thomas Bartold, Carmen Bellaire, and grade school chum, Ed Kwiatkowski. Gifts were exchanged and everyone had a good time.
I’ll see my Dad on Wednesday as usual and take him his Christmas presents then. He doesn’t drive anymore and the weather’s supposed to be snowy. Besides, he loves our Wednesday breakfast get togethers.
To our surprise, a bunch of Christmas cards and even a couple packages of cookies arrived in the mail from fans today and over the weekend. It’s not necessary, but thank you.
Wayne and Alex are deep into work on The Rifter #49, the artists are busy drawing away, while the rest of us are busy getting those Christmas orders out of the warehouse and into your hands by Christmas.
Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
