A positive day

Today was a good day.
Thank goodness, because yesterday (Thursday, February 18, 2010) sucked! I had gone to bed early Wednesday night, woke up at 5:45 AM Thursday morning, and I was brimming with ideas and raring to write. I got into the office by 6:30 AM and spent the next eight hours writing like a man possessed. I was hot, hot, hot and didn't even stop to eat lunch. Too bad everything I wrote was garbage, trash and junk. I mean terrible, unusable trash. That bummed me out big time. Juggling funds to pay bills that afternoon didn’t help any, either. By the time I went home, I had put in 14 hours of hard work , but felt only 5 or so hours were productive time spent. The rest were a waste. It happens like that sometimes. I hate it.
This morning, I slept in, read a couple comic books. Ate some delicious leftovers, and got to work around 9:30 AM. The sun was shining for the first time in two weeks, and it was warmer than the weatherman had predicted (about 40 degrees Fahrenheit).
Online sales for the week ended strong, which was a welcomed surprise. I hope they remain strong throughout the weekend. Heck, all year would be nice! I’ll take whatever I can get.
I start writing Rifts® Heroes of the Megaverse® in earnest today, and was pleased with the results. Mostly outlines and idea blocks, as the ideas were flowing like water and spreading all over the place. It felt good. It was unfinished bits and pieces, but all feel like gems, not garbage like the day before.
Julius and I also came up with what we think is an excellent idea for an Open House T-shirt. It's fun and funny, and oh so gamer.
I’m excited that there seems to be a lot of excitement over Rifts Dimensional Outbreak. It is one of those books that just came together and sings. I think you’ll love it. See my overview for more insight and details. I spoke with my printer and they expect to have the proof copy of the cover and interior pages for me by early or mid-next week. However, they still haven’t given me an exact ship date.
Everyone was in a good mood, I spoke with a couple of friends, I got my hair cut, ran a couple errands, answered some emails and wrote a couple of Murmurs. All in all, it was a very good day.
I hope your weekend is a pleasant one. I’ll be writing away on Heroes of the Megaverse® for at least half of the weekend and enjoying every minute of it. Game on.
Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
